I have this need for low resolution pictures. would like 640x480 at 1/2 meg or so. But if that isn't possible, can I lock in a lower 1mb setting? Now it takes it at a higher resolution and I have to resize each picture.

I just got ICS and due to extensive problems I did a factory reset. I'm trying to set up my alarms with the ringtones I used to use - and I have everything in folders on my SD card as shown below. However, the alarm doesn't seem to want to use these folders. If I select music I get a list of the 5,000 songs that I have in Google music which is of no use since that's in the cloud and I need alarm to function at all times.how to change the location for the alarm ringtones?
ringtones - /media/audio/ringtones
alarms - /media/audio/alarms
notifications - /media/audio/notifications
I installed the ICS yesterday. Now the Vibrate on touch in the sound setting drops out after five minutes or so.This happens every time I go back to turn it on. Also the sleep in the display setting keeps going back to 30 seconds, no matter what minutes I select . Is this a bug that can be fixed with a update or is there something else I can do.

View 15 Replies View RelatedMy phone locked up/screen went black during a phonecall yesterday. It was at night. So, it was dark where I was. I tried to access the screen. It would produce a faint light, but would not let me access the screen, phone or any apps. I was talking on a bluetooth headset at the time. Normally at the end of a call, I could hang up the phone by pushing a button on my headset. That wouldn't work either. The only way I could hang up the phone was to pull the battery.
how to diagnose the problem or stop it from happening again? Or, is this just a BSOD (black screen of death where phone locks up and requires a battery pull) that happened while I was in a phone call?
I activated the pattern lock to see if I liked it. I don't!Went to settings/ Location and security/use visible pattern/"uncheck box. (Any sane person would asume this would disingauge the visable lock screen. Not so batman.... Just because this is how you turned it on does not mean it will turn if off!!!!)Go back to home screen.When slide security screen is pushed aside. There is the visable lock pattern screen again

When panning with this camera across different scenes the Auto White balance is constanly bouncing the color all over the place, it's distracting. There needs to be some ay to manualy set the white ballance.
View 3 Replies View RelatedA new feature in the Security and Screen Lock settings is the ability to add your Owner Info.(Settings/Security & Screen Lock/Owner Info)The owner info then displays (it scrolls actually) across the top of the lock screen (if you don't use a lock screen, it doesn't display). For my info, I have my name, my google voice number, and an email address.I previously had an app to do this, but with ICS I no longer need it. I mention this feature because of something that happened to me this weekend. I have an Android ICS tablet on which I've also entered the owner info. I left it in a public place this past weekend. Before I had even gotten back to my hotel, I had received emails and phone calls from the person who found the tablet, turned it on, and used the Owner Info to contact me.Saved me at least $300 it would have taken to replace it. Which wasn't the worst thing - I had taken the memory card out of my camera and put it in the tablet. I would have been extremely upset at losing of days worth of very important photos that could have never been replaced.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently noticed that my Bionic appears to disconnect from wifi when the screen locks. When I unlock the screen (and I have the dot pattern unlock), there's no wifi icon for a few seconds.
I have unlimited data, but still keep my DB on wifi all the time at home and the office. I'm guessing the DB goes into 4G or 3G mode when locked, which could be problematical if I had a measured data plan. Anyone else notice this behavior?
I've noticed something strange on my Bionic. If I enable any of the screen lock mechanisms (password, pin, or pattern), the home and search keys stop working. I have to hit the back key multiple times if I'm within an app to get back to my homescreen so I can open the app drawer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running ICS on a Droid Bionic and the lockscreen clock is wrong. In settings, I have "automatic date & time" and "automatic time zone" selected. The Lock Screen is showing 5:15pm no matter what time it is. All other time functions seem to be correct.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, for the past few days, when I wake up in the morning, I have found that the lower half of my screen is flashing. I use the AlarmDroid app and have done so since I got the device in February, so I didn't think that this would be the cause. It will flicker for a while, then eventually stop, so I can't just take it to erizon and show it to them. It only seems to do it first thing in the morning when I wake up (plugged into the charger). I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but no change. The only thing I can think of is that a couple of weeks ago my phone would not restart, so I had to reset to factory defaults. This started after I did the factory reset.

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGmail is my email. I long ago disabled the "conversation" (threaded) view of messages in Gmail iitself on the web, and in settings on any device. However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave experienced this with a couple of applications (Freecaddie Pro and My Tracks) the program is suppose to store to SD card and it saves to internal memory. Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to "My Accounts" on my Droid Bionic, and then click on "Add account", I get the error message "Sorry! The application My Accounts (process com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectedly."
I wiped out my Bionic and then re-set everything up, and it was working fine until I added my FB account, and then removed the account. Now I can't add any new accounts at all.
I used Google's https: market.android.com to transfer all my apps from my Droid 1 to my Bionic. By and large it was seemless and quick. However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.

I went to use my bluetooth headset and got nothing (a problem I reported earlier), so I rebooted the phone. That fixed the sound, but I noticed I had no network. I saw a post that said it would come back if I toggled airplane mode. It put the phone in airplane mode just fine, but when I asked it to turn off airplane mode, it immediately rebooted.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone was having restarting issues before the ICS update, it was happening every other day or so but when the ICS update came through it appeared that my phone was fine.
In the last week and a half or so all of a sudden it would start suddenly resetting, 4 times in the middle of calls that I can remember definitely and 3 or 4 times while it was sitting on the counter charging (once multiple times in a row). It doesn't seem to be tied to any specific action and I was wondering if there is any kind of diagnosis or app that I can run to try to figure out of it's a memory/freezing problem?
