class 10 memory card is not fully supported or what??? yest i buy a class 10 sd card 8gb nd put it to my phone..after that i faced many problem like:

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an E72-2, when i bought it, the phone was without a memory card so i purchased a blank one. Lately i am having repeatedly a message on the screen saying "remove memory card and press ok". I called nokia care and they told me to format the memory card which i did but still having the same problem. I tried backing up, formatting and then restoring many times : still the same. so i emptied every thing from the card : removed installed apps and music files and pictures and used the phone for a couple of days , everything was ok. Now i put back the music files on the card (through usb connection) and re-assigned ringing tones, the problem appears again and the phone is not reading the card (it's there but it's like blank) like it's rejecting it.
My question is : is the problem in the memory card (corrupted, defected) or in the phone? if it's the card I don't want it to damage the phone, should i buy a new one to resolve the problem? At nokia care they told me that just formatting the card will make it as new, is that correct?
does anyone know if a 32 gb card will fly?aint much difference in the prices between 16 and 32 gig class 10 cards.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble connecting fully my N900 to my laptop using the PC Suite software again.I got my phone earlier this month and i managed to connect the phone to the laptop then with no problem, however, yesterday, i reinstalled my windows xp like i do every few months and installed the nokia pc suite to my laptopn and now i am unable to transfer any media files i.e. music, films and such to my phone.i dont get this at all as the pc suite connects to the phone fine as it shows my calendar too and the image of my phone but everytime i transfer some files through Transfers videos section it doesnt recognise any phone. I usually add those media files through My Computer>Device with Removable Storage as an icon of the phone appears there but thats not even there anymore. I also notice on the bottom of main screen of the pc suite this message:Welcome to PC Suite Unfortunately your device is not fully supported by Nokia PC Suite.I dont know what that means and how to resolved it. I have followed every help/how to guide and FAQ i could find with no luck. I did everything correctly when i connected the phone to the laptop and i have installed and reinstalled the pc suite but again no luck.when i hoover over the phone icon on thre system tray of my laptop i noticed that: N900 (Storage Mode) connected in a non-compatible USB mode. is this the problem?

I am not using an SD card and I'm trying to mount the internal memory as a drive in Windows, so that I can access and download pictures taken with the camera. When I plug it in, Windows mounts a removable drive but doesn't let me access it (insert card). Storage class driver is turned on (or off, makes no difference). BB desktop is installed, but doesn't help.

This froze my phone upon reading the card. I downgraded to an 8 gig card and loaded around 4 gigs of music, which also froze the phone. This time, however I was able to start playing the music before eventually freezing. I deleted all except 1.5 gigs of the music and now it works fine; however this is a waste of my money purchasing a large memory card; or even switching from the iPhone in the first place.

I took some amazing pictures of the sunset last night and my camera and gallery both worked fine. I went to show them off this morning and all of my pictures and videos are gone! There are some random pictures of what look like arrows from internet pages, but nothing I had every seen before. I went to the TMO store and they put my sd card in another phone but they still weren't there. I am phone-stupid when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I know for a fact I did not delete them or do anything that could have deleted them. What's weird is everything else on my sd card like music and files are still there, and my homescreen still has my picture that was in the gallery Asoftech Photo Recovery, but as a single mom nursing student, $30 is hard to come by at the moment. I would use a free program but I don't know which ones are safe.

As far as I'm concerned, SDHC cards with speed classes 2 to 6 are SD version 2.0, whereas class 10 cards as well as new SDXC ones are SD version 3.0, hence potential compatibility issues.
I want more memory for my N8 and am thinking of a 32gb micro sd card. I would like to use it for backups, and recording video. Class 10 is good for video I have heard, but do I really need it. I am thinking of SanDisk Ultra 32GB microSDHC Card Plus Adapter (SDSDQUA-032G-U46A).

Somewhere down under the topic 'Memory', they'd mentioned that 'on the memory card and it is of class 8. In many menus you can see some sluggishness if you use the card from the box. When you change the card the speed goes up dramatically, so I strongly recommend doing this trick.'
The card that came with my Satio is a class 2! which apparently is the slowest!

I too have noticed the lag in the picture gallery and at places where the album art gets displayed. Can someone confirm with me if they have used a class 10 card say 16gb and if they have seen any improvement? If it works, I am planning on getting one.
