When your battery is low your phone flashes a red light. However, my Motorola Cliq 2 has a solid red light that will not shut off. I have a full charge on my battery and no notifications pending. I did go into settings to try and change the notification led but nothing is working. I've noticed that the red light will not shut off when powering down the phone. After removing the battery the red light will go away but as soon as the battery is back in the phone the light appears again..even when the phone is off. I have tried to place a battery from another device but the light still appears with the other battery as well.
I just got this phone from someone who upgraded up. If I only want to use it for calls and texting and nothing else, should I update from its current system version 1.6 / Firmware version 1.5?If I wanted to do this manually, are system and firmware updates done separately and where are the download pages to do it manually? There are threads talking about how updates slowed down CLIQ MB200 phones. Do they slow down the basic functions of this phone? I see there are Android platform versions all the way up to 3.2. Is version 2.1 the last version compatible with MB200?Some threads compare updating this phone to installing Windows 7 or Vista on older computers - they would slow down basic functions on them so it's really not worth it to update. Is that comparison true when it comes to this first Android phone?
I have a Motorola Cliq updated to 2.1.5 through T-mobile.Up until this weekend, I had no problem getting Data pushed through whether I was in my area or my boyfriends area (his is non 3G and he does NOT have WiFi) ...I was at his place this weekend, and my Data ONLY pushed through when I was in a WiFi area and I had WiFi enabled.he problem is, now that I'm home IN A 3G AREA my Data STILL only pushes through when WiFi is enabled. I get NO INTERNET CONNECTION at all.I can't even get my phone to be recognized through the Motorola Troubleshooter now when it IS plugged into my laptop via USB ....Hoping to avoid a reset, even though I have everything synched through my Blur acct and Gmail
I inherited a Cliq 2 from my father-in-law and I have a T-Mobile sim in it right now. When I look at the system version, it is saying 1.1.28. From all the info that I've read, the latest version is 1.1.30. I've tried doing a system update from the phone, but it tells me that I am up to date.
My blackberry curve 9320 has had a constant green light in the LED space since I woke up this morning. It's not flashing, and the red flashing light for messages does appear with it when i have a notification, but the green light always returns... I've tried taking out the battery, but the green light is the first thing that comes on when the battery is replaced. |I then let the battery run down and then charged it again, but the green light remains... What is it? And how can I fix it?
The screen has been cracked recently, so my brother took it upon himself to buy me a Cliq (MB200) from someone off CraigsList for my birthday. I am not sure if this is the route I would had gone but it's not like he can take it back now. Luckily it is a Cliq with a T-Mobile emblem on it, which is my carrier, so there shouldnt be any problems. And it appears to be in excellent condition.OK, time to transfer the SIM card.First, we cannot get the newly purchased Cliq to recgognize my SIM card. It is an old T-Mo SIM card that has been transferred from A Samsung T-719 purchased in 2007 to a BB Pearl to a BB Curve and then to the Cliq2 bought in 2011. I do have newer SIM cards that have never been opened or activated, so that could be an option. But the SIM works fine in my Cliq2. But in the newly purchased Cliq we immediately get the "Please insert SIM card" message on the screen.Yes, we did do a factory reset and then re-tested the SIM.Wi-Fi works. We were curious if the SIM Card can't be read until we go through the Motoblur registration. Also, can the Motoblur info just be transferred from the Cliq2 to the SIM Card or SD Card so I don't have to login on the newly purchased Cliq?I forgot my Motoblur password and it is registered with an inactive email address, so a password recovery via email is not an option. Should I just open a new Motoblur account? Will it let me connect the same emails and social media accounts as the old Motoblur account?
I have had my HS-700 since August of 2010 and haven't had any major issues with it. But this morning, when I went to unplug it from the charger, the green light was constantly blinking and it didn't take the charge. Nothing happens when I turn it on and the green light starts blinking again when I plug it back in.
I have only had it af ew days (brought second hand) and it worked fine for the first day and I ordered a sim to go in and now its just not charging or turning on, I tried taking the sim out to do it too but it didn't work and it has a constant red/orange light on while its plugged in to charge. Also, I have tried leaving it charging for like an hour but it still just wont turn on..
My Atrix has been constantly rebooting. I had it replaced under warrantee and the replacement did the same thing as soon as it was started up .Will the Ice Cream Sandwhich update fix this issue?
A similar issue has been brought up before in the forum, but not quite the same issue I am having... I have seen it discussed at length on the Droid X orums,https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/32744?tart=0&tstart=0https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/36262?start=0&tstart=0with no resolution... so, maybe some of you know some tricks to get the 3G connection stable when using the Xoom as an mobile hotspot...I originally had a 3G MiFi device, that worked great for about 6 months... after which time, it would drop its connection if there was moderate usage by any more than just one connected device... and that has been well documented on Verizon forums, although they had no solution for it.
I had this device because regular high speed connections are not available at my house, and I'm less than a mile from a Verizon tower, in a low density population area... when connected I usually have over a 2Mb connection, and great signal... not bad for being on cellular...So, all that being said, when the Xoom came out, and I saw that hotspot was available at no extra charge, I jumped at it... a great new tablet to use, and, what I thought would be, a hotspot that no longer lost connection, unfortunately that was not the case, and I think connection issues are worse now with the Xoom, than they ever were with the MiFi.If I enable the hotspot, have only one computer connected to it, and only browse 1 tab at a time, while not downloading or doing anything else internet related, the connection holds up just fine... yesterday my wife got a new laptop, and I was able to run all updates, and get all her software downloaded and installed without issue, and that was over 600MB of data, at least, but, while doing the downloads, I made sure that I did nothing else on the internet.
When I finished, my wife started surfing the internet... both of us use tabbed browsing quite a bit... but she had only opened maybe 3 tabs, and at that point the 3G symbol on the xoom went away, after a couple seconds came back, that after a couple seconds went away again... and this repeated over and over until I reset the xoom. Then the Xoom was fine for maybe 10 minutes, before it started doing it again. And, this happens regardless of what device is connected. After trying numerous things from the Droid X forums about this issue, and discovering that none of them work, I thought, well... maybe the tower has issues... so I brought it to work today... same issue, I opened MSN.com and opened about 10 tabs from there, just various news stories that I wanted to read about... and it was fine at first, but, after looking at a couple stories, I decide to visit this forum as well, but when I tried, I could not... so I looked at my Xoom and saw that the 3G icon was going away and coming back again, just like before.
after doing the system update tonight my droid x won't stop rebooting. i can't even get into the settings long enough to try to do a factory reset or anything. i can unlock the phone and then about 5 seconds later it goes back to the droid message then the red eye then the lock screen... over and over and over. I tried to get in on safe mode- got in and then it did the exact same thing. Has this happened to anyone else and is there any way to fix it. I even tried my friends battery to see if that was the problem- NOT.
I've had my phone since January. Its always super slow and the battery is super bad. Also, at times it just turns off and acts up. But my main concern here the constant sync sign that I get next to the 3G logo. What does it mean and how do I get it out? And... is there a reason why my 3G and antenna bar are colored white at times and blue at other times?
I own a Cliq 2 and am having a very hard time using the slide bar. This evening I can't even unlock the phone to get back to texts, etc. Very frustrated yet still "have hope". Okay, my daughter unlocked my phone just now. Is it that my hands are cold?... (Warm heart of course). Truly, there has to be another way to unlock this phone and/or answer calls when it's tempermental. Sliding the keyboard open doesn't work.
when i got my phone phone i set up my motorblur account. like 2 days ago my phone died when i turned it back on the motorblur page came up instead of my home screen. it is telling me to login or register a new account. when i try to log in it is telling me that i already have an acount setup with my phone.
So i've been at this for two days now and i even went to my local t-mobile store.I've updated my phone via my computer since the wifi broke some time ago. Great, but I still wanted to update my phone. The wifi isn't place specific either. i've tried over 10+ locations with wifi (various friends houses, etc.). The message i get is unable to start wifi. what gives? But, after the update, i need to log into motoblur for my phone to be of any use to me at all. Guess what, the wifi doesn't work and I don't have a data plan.So do i have to pay for a data plan just to get this expensive phone to start working again? don't tell me yes because i know this is a solution. however, i don't have the money for a data plan otherwise i would have one already. and no, i don't have the money to even subscribe to one month just so i can "activate" my phone when i've already paid for all those fees.
I've tried doing a hard reset by holding the camera button and power button while the phone was off, then pressing down on the volume key followed by alt L/W. After the reset, the wifi doesn't work. not that i expected it to.I've checked my warranty. it's up. I find it a little peeving that it happen to run out near the same time the wifi broke.any fixes? Because i don't like to spend $400+ on my paper weights when i can go outside and find a rock.
I'm having trouble deleting telnav gps from my cliq 2. I'm removing it because I use google maps, which is free and in my opinon much better. The problem I have is when I go to Settings>>manage remove apps>> and go to telnav the options to force stop and uninstall tabs are 'not selectable'. The only executable tab was clear cache..(which I did).
Furthermore it takes up 3.39 mbs that I could use elsewhere. I called tmobile to cancel the service and they did, but I can't remove the pesky app, because its still there each time I pull up my list of apps?
I called T-Mobile, they don't have any, I looked on the Moto store here, they don't list the cliq when looking for Accessories -> phone (the drop down does not have the cliq) so where would people in this forum look for a new battery for the cliq (Yes I still have and use the cliq, I love it, if I need a new feature I can eather just download it from the market or code it up myself)
today i notice that in the upper right corner of my atrix 2 , in that part where the proximity or light sensor is located , there is a faint red light dot, and no... it is not the notification led.
I downloaded Gingerbread this morning and all seem to work well except for a constant sync issue I've been unble to get rid. I shut my phone down for nearly and hour, I've also rebooted it after that, but the sync symbol remains on the task bar.
I have a CLIQ XT unlocked that I am using on ATT Network. I disabled the ATT data connection. My wife uses it as a phone as well as with wifi. Phone is sometimes slow or freezes. Is there an update I can download to correct this?
About 10hours ago my phone shut itself down and when I restarted it I had a "zero" for signal. This hasn't changed at all. And several reboots and even popping the battery a few times hasn't helped.
ok so only apps i have installed since i got it was Angry birds google + and dolphin browser and Y5 battery saver. but yet i only have 67 MB free what??? this phone has 283MB used what is using this? how do i fix it i cant even install go launcher EX? someone hep me here what gives how do i fix this i want this space or at least part of it so i can put go launcher EX on here i tried and it gave me low memory so i want to know what the heck is using all this and what can i do about it.
I have a motorola cliq with motoblur and i would like to know if it's possible to switch firmware from version eclair 2.1 to froyo 2.2. My wife has another android phone that has froyo 2.2 and her phone is faster eventhough her phone hardward has less to offer than my motorola cliq with motoblur.
I would like to start off by saying that I DO like my Cliq.I noticed problems with my News Widget. It would stop updating.I tried taking the battery out, etc. After some searching, I realized I wasn't running the most updated software. So, after some challenges with the update, I finally got my phone updated. That was followed by a total reset. Not happy about that, but seemed the only way to go in order to work out some kinks with the upgrade. So now I am trying to reset all of my personalizations. Now this is where my most recent problems are.How do I set ringtones for my contacts? Each way I have tried only lets me choose from the defaults or factory installed tones.
I am using Motoblur Cliq XT unlock phone from T-Mobile, while I am with T-Mobile I have 3G service on my phone after some time i removed data plan and using only voice plan. Recently I moved to AT&T Carrier and get into two major problems.1 . Very frequently I used to get this message "122 Error Invalid Number. Please resend using a valid 10 digit mobile number 06050407100000535441545553"2. For new carrier I have 3G data plan, but mobile network is using Edge service instead of 3G. I check at my area 3G service for AT&T is working fine. If I use my sim in another phone I Can get 3G service.
