Motorola Atrix HD :: It Keeps Restarting By Itself?
Oct 28, 2012
I have installed an application called "double twist air sync" and "double twist player" which I was using on my samsung galaxy sII with no problems. And just after installing the "double twist player" the Atrix HD phone restart by itself, and keeps doing it and can not have enough time to go to application and uninstall the app. I tried removing the sd card and the at&t card from the phone but it does not make any difference. What should I do?
Anyone have any problems with there Atrix just randomly shutting down and restarting? It's happend 2 times so far once while I was in the middle of a call and another while useing the browser.
When i am trying to make a call to my another phone the dialer keeps on looping and does not disconnect, and when i call someone else as soon as i take the phone near to my ears the phone restarts.
id like to buy one of those over 3000mah batteries for my atrix 2 , but where i live i can only find this batteries for the atrix 4g and im not sure if it works on the atrix 2.
My Motorola Atrix or Computer has a Problem install the ADB Interface so there for my phone wont connect to my Computer.I have a windows 7 32-bit operating system.I have tried installing Drivers Manualy, tried using the PDAnet Solution, tried unistalling all USB Ports, tried applications to help.
Will the Lapdock (and other accessories for that matter) work for the new Atrix 2 coming? I've only used the Lapdock lightly and it will be a real shame if it and the other accessories I've purchased over the past year won't work with the 2nd gen Atrix.
since i upgraded my backflip from cupcake to froyo 2.1, my phone keeps restarting itself especially when i try to perform multiple operations. it also gets very hot during charging. as it is the moment, i dont enjoy my phone.
I recently had to get a replacement Atrix through AT&T after my original one shattered. I had insurance and AT&T provided me a refurbished one through their insurance program. My question is, will I still be able to get all future updates on this phone or is there something I need to do?
Has anyone else had the problem of their phone turning back on after you turn it off? I turned it off before I walked into work this morning, saw it shut down and placed it on my desk. About 10mins later I see it booting back up and turning on. Last night I turned it off before I went to bed, woke up this morning and the phone was on.
My phone was having restarting issues before the ICS update, it was happening every other day or so but when the ICS update came through it appeared that my phone was fine.
In the last week and a half or so all of a sudden it would start suddenly resetting, 4 times in the middle of calls that I can remember definitely and 3 or 4 times while it was sitting on the counter charging (once multiple times in a row). It doesn't seem to be tied to any specific action and I was wondering if there is any kind of diagnosis or app that I can run to try to figure out of it's a memory/freezing problem?
An update popped up on my 3g xoom about 15 minutes ago. As you do you would press apply update and then install. Now my xoom boots up then restarts then tries to install the update but then displays the android logo with an esclamation mark.Either I need a way to stop the update from trying to be installed, a way for it to get installed or a way to wipe the whole tablet and start fresh.
I did the Jelly Bean update on my two month old Atrix HD yesterday. Then my apps started closing on their own and then the homescreen started doing the same thing. Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.
Other android devices have the ability to synch with picassa to view their online albums am I missing something or is this a big whoops not included on Moto's part.
i wasnt big on mobile ga,es but recently just for fun, i downloaded TANK HERO game onto my milestone.. well it was going fine upto some time but recently my milestone has started heating up and then it restarts by itself. i am worried bout its software. is it a defect in my handset?
I get in my car, where my car stereo has already been paired with my droid X2. The phone and the data both connect most of the time on it's own, sometimes I have to go into teh settings and tell it to connect. The main issue is, I will open an application I use to play audiobooks (Ambling) and start an audio book, which works fine. However, 90% of the time when I turn the screen off the phone will then proceed to restart. It will continue this behaviour until I shut down and power back on the phone, at which point everything works just fine. However as soon as leave my car, go into work or the store or whatever, and come back out to my car the chances are high I'll have to go through it again.
Unfortunately, now it won't turn on. It gets as far as checking SD card, then the screen shuts off and won't come back on. I tried going into safe mode but there it just hangs on the Droid Eye screen and never gets past it. I tried clearing the cache to see if something had gone wrong there, and the problem persists. Am I right to assume this is merely an SD Card corruption issue?
I don't have another SD Card handy at the moment, and probably won't until I get home tonight
I've tried searching the archives but haven't found anything regarding this. But, since the ICS upgrade, my Droid Razr restarts itself quite a bit and at the most inopportune times, like when I'm about to make a phone call or trying to use maps to get directions. I don't recall this happening at all before ICS. Anybody else seeing this happening.
I've had my Photon for about six months, and lately it has been acting possessed. It will freeze on the Motorola logo, as though it has restarted itself. Sometimes it will restart itself completely. Sometimes it will turn itself off a few minutes after I unplug it in the morning. I've been getting 24 hour delays with incoming text messages* (yet I can still make calls and send texts, browse the web, etc). If I pop out the battery and put it back in again, it will work fine for a few days and then the problems start all over again.Yes, I have power-cycled it. That is the first thing I did. And second. And fifth.
a) When using the "search" button in the application's list; com.motorola.home crashed (I have a popup telling so) b) Very often, when I'm not on the Home Screen (an App is in front, the phone is locked, ...), the home screen is doing the full, long, refresh (takes times to draw the icons, reload widgets, etc.); I suspect that there also, com.motorola.home crashed but I don't have any popup telling this (and I don't know how I could prove thisAs it is not rooted and their is no way to make any application data backup (https://forums.motorola.com/comment/610112), I do not wish to make a full factory reset. Is there anyway I could make that process more stable (I added it to the white list is "auto memory" application, without success) or is there
My Atrix has the latest update applied and has started recently showing the following error message:"com.motorola.service.main had stopped unexpectedly" Touching ok returns to the home screen for 1 second and the error reappears. This makes the phone unusable.I have performed a factory reset and the error was away for 24 hrs but now it has reappeared.
Since yesterday all of a sudden my battery started draining like crazy, 100% to 40% in 2 hours. Battery manager shows com.motorola.service.main taking 60% battery.what is this process and why it is taking too much of battery?
When I go to edit contacts I see that motorola services contact has the same contact replicated 10 times or more. How can I solve this if I want to edit the contact information?
Im wondering why MML doesn't have an option to turn it off. I don't use it much and short of installing it I see no option for it not starting up every time I turn on my computer.
After I updated the software, my phone will randomly restart itself. It will go to a black screen, then reboot on its own. I have tried two refurb phones from ATT and a new battery, and it still does it. I even got a new SD card, thinking that maybe it was a memory issue. Still restarting. Is there a solution (besides just buying a new phone)?
For some strange reason I can't set a PIN on my 4G. It takes the PIN just fine, but when I turn the phone off and back on again, when I slide the little lock icon, the phone does NOT prompt for the PIN!
I noticed that I had not been receiving my yahoo mail lately and went to accounts and it showed under my Motoblur accounts. After not being able to get it to work I deleted the account to try and reinstall it. When I go to Add Account and select the Yahoo Mail icon under Motoblur accts then put in the email address and password I get an error msg "Login to the account failed, please try again." I have checked and rechecked that all of the info is correct and it is.
