View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a Blackberry a few days ago (last Wednesday to be exact) and it really hasn't been too bad of a phone. I came from a HTC Diamond which I loved but I wanted something stable and good with battery life and so far once I killed the battery the usual three days and charging fully it has been lasting me great.
Anyway, the question was whether it's possible to automatically not include the original message on my phone when I reply to an e-mail or if there is a keyboard shortcut I missed that can do that for me. Basically to save twenty bucks a month I use Google Voice and it uses my e-mail address to text people and I don't want the original message at all and have to push the Blackberry menu button then scroll down to Delete Original Text then type my message then send it.I still haven't had a change to search for figuring out OS 5 or anything crazy like that yet but since I rolled WM 6.6 on my Diamond and kinda loved it I may soon. But so far 4.7 has been pretty stable.
I am having problems with the email on my blackberry - every time I reply to an email, I get sent the original email (which I am replying to) to my phone again. Does anyone know how to stop this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a new SMS message it shows up in the universal inbox widget. But when I tap on the arrow to reply to this message, I can type a reply but there is no send button. If I go to the actual message thread I can reply and send, no problem. But how can I get the send button to appear when replying to messages via the universal inbox?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor a variety of reasons, I decided to use Gmail to aggregate all of my email accounts instead of the Messaging application. After a factory reset, one of my email accounts is still showing up in my Messaging application and my Universal Inbox. This, naturally, seems to be interfering with Gmail getting messages from that account. When I went to Manage Accounts, however, the email account I doesn't show up, meaning I can't delete it.So to recap:1. I had an AOL email account set up.2. I set up Gmail to read and manage my AOL account.3. I factory reset my phone4. The AOL account still appears in my Messaging application and my Universal Inbox

View 5 Replies View RelatedBold 9900, have had for a few weeks now, noticed something new when replying to text messages, if someone sends a text to me & others, when I reply it is always to all the people the original text was sent to. My old 9000 had the option come up of reply or reply to all, this new 9900 only shows replu but it replies to all. I have looked everywhere for a setting to change this but have not been able to find anything. how to change this or is it just something new that can't be changed on this new phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWell today I had my first couple of messages from a couple of mates of mine, and I am completely confused here just how to reply to them and how you know they have been sent. The manual for the Blackberry Curve 9320 is totally wrong with how it describes to do this, and the regular features that are on every other mobile I have had such as click on something and hit the word reply does not exist on this phone from what I can see.hen I read the persons text message there is a bar underneath for you to type in, and it says press R to reply. I did this and typed something out, and as you do went and pressed the send button. But that brings up a box asking me if I want to call the person. So I thought well lets press the return key on the Qwerty Pad. So I did that, and I have no idea if its sent as I cannot find anywhere on the phone that tells you your message is sent.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust recently when I click reply for a text message it takes between 10-30 seconds to start a new message. Then when I click the send button, it displays the "Sending Message" screen for about the same time, before finally sending the message. The phone was recently wiped by Nokia Care Centre because of a problem with text messages rebooting the phone. This issue is now occuring as well, but mostly at night?Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? It has firmware 12.0.110 installed.

Had my 1020 for about 15 months and all generally works well. Lately, when in the car and an incoming text comes in, when I say "reply", it hangs up. This has not happened once, but many, many times. No change to the car and it worked pretty well until recently. I wonder if I inadvertently changed a setting to not allow for a voice command reply? I can't seem to find a setting that would affect this. By the way, I do mean replying via voice, not texting with hands while driving.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I click from either the "Notification" screen, or the Text Message List, I am directed to the wrong text messaging thread. This doesn't happen every time, it happens every day, and multiple times, however. Usually, when I reboot the phone, the problem is gone...momentarily.
It seems to happen with random messages. I use Universal Inbox and currently see message from text, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail and my AT&T mail.
If I use the stock Text Messaging app, I can open the list of messages and see whatever I can from the preview there, but when I click to open the thread, it will open a totally random message thread. Weird. I'm not that into text messaging, but it does annoy me when I need to use it and I can't open individual messages because the wrong ones are appearing.
I don't know if this is a device problem, a software/app problem, an AT&T messaging problem or what. I'm somewhat ignorant about smartphones and have only had this Atrix 2 for about three months.
Some of our forwarded/replied emails are showing as complete gobbledegook, the annoying part is it seems very inconsistent:

We use O2's hosted service via Exchange OWA. The email signature's all appear fine but the main body of the emails show as above.
I am a member of a google group. The group is set up so that replies go to the group. That is what happens with all the other email clients that I use. However, when I use the email client that comes on the Nexus 5, the reply goes to the writer of the post and not the group as a whole. Why is this, and is there anything I can do about it?

After I receive an email I can select reply and type in my response. I then press the menu key and the only options that come up are "help, save draft, flag, Add to:, Add CC,,etc" I can fwd the email and I can send a new email. For some reason I can reply with my hotmail account no problem but not with my gmail account. This all worked fine on my pearl.

Bold 9700. Is there a way to include the email signature for replies so that it appears after the new text and not all the way at the bottom of the original message?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen emailing, or more importantly replying to emails the signature is placed at the very bottom of the email string. The signature is not placed at the end of the body of the message. If this doesnt make sense to all of you let me go further - if you are sending a reply to someone, your signature will show as the last line or lines on the message instead of after your main text and before the original email.
This happened to me when I had a BB 8820 and now with the BB 9700 I am starting to notice it. What puzzles me is that it does not happen all of the time. Has anyone done any testing with different mail servers? Is RIM working on a resolution for this issue? I think that it is great that people have mentioned using auto text and so on but thats not a solution, that is a work around.
When I try to reply to an email message on the new Bold 9900, I can't locate the Send button. All I can find is Save Draft. Is this a software glitch in the new OS or am I missing something obvious?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use my S5 to read / respond to corporate emails. At work we use MS Exchange server / Outlook which defaults the email font to 11pt Calibri for both new emails and replies. But whenever I respond to a work email using the stock S5 email app it uses 11pt Times New Roman for the response I type. Not only that but I noticed that it even converts prior messages in the thread to 11pt Times New Roman though they were originally 11pt Calibri. The interesting thing is that while it converts prior email message body content to 11pt Times New Roman it actually uses 10pt Tahoma font for the email header section (i.e. From:, Sent:, To:, etc.) which does actually look much more similar to Calibri than Times New Roman does.
This is all very unfortunate since I would like to use my phone as a seamless extension of my PC. I would like emails sent from my PC or phone to be indistinguishable from each other by the readers. By converting all body content to Times New Roman, it not only looks really bad / unprofessional but it immediately identifies that the email was composed on the phone. As I mentioned above the stock email sender does seem able to use Tahoma font... so as a compromise I would even accept that my replies would default to Tahoma font instead of Times New Roman.
This seems to be longstanding issue for many people using Samsung Galaxy phones and going back to the S3. I saw the "Change outgoing email font?" Though that post was for the S3 and highlighted the problem of changing the outgoing font... it did not call out that the problem is in fact deeper since the stock email system changes fonts of past emails in the thread!?
According to the Atrix support page, to delete a Motoblur account I must contact my provider. My provider is AT&T and they told me they have no access to my Blur account and are therefore unable to delete it. So:
Did the CSR I reached have the wrong answer and should AT&T be able to delete my account, and if so to whom should I direct my inquiry? If not, how DO I delete the account? I already have been given the "create a new account" advice, which is obvious, but I don't care for having accounts of any kind lying around dormant. If Moto is forcing me to have an account to use this phone they should provide a way to delete it - after all it contains stuff like my e-mail information, ...
