BB Curve :: Replying To Text Messages On The 9320?
Jun 20, 2012
Well today I had my first couple of messages from a couple of mates of mine, and I am completely confused here just how to reply to them and how you know they have been sent. The manual for the Blackberry Curve 9320 is totally wrong with how it describes to do this, and the regular features that are on every other mobile I have had such as click on something and hit the word reply does not exist on this phone from what I can see.hen I read the persons text message there is a bar underneath for you to type in, and it says press R to reply. I did this and typed something out, and as you do went and pressed the send button. But that brings up a box asking me if I want to call the person. So I thought well lets press the return key on the Qwerty Pad. So I did that, and I have no idea if its sent as I cannot find anywhere on the phone that tells you your message is sent.
Bold 9900, have had for a few weeks now, noticed something new when replying to text messages, if someone sends a text to me & others, when I reply it is always to all the people the original text was sent to. My old 9000 had the option come up of reply or reply to all, this new 9900 only shows replu but it replies to all. I have looked everywhere for a setting to change this but have not been able to find anything. how to change this or is it just something new that can't be changed on this new phone?
Just recently when I click reply for a text message it takes between 10-30 seconds to start a new message. Then when I click the send button, it displays the "Sending Message" screen for about the same time, before finally sending the message. The phone was recently wiped by Nokia Care Centre because of a problem with text messages rebooting the phone. This issue is now occuring as well, but mostly at night?Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? It has firmware 12.0.110 installed.
I have a problem when replying to text messages. Even thought I have the area code entered in the contact the message comes back that it can't be sent and shows no area code. I don't want to have to reset to factory settings.
Have had the same problem on some of our Curves with the 7.1 update. They can't scroll through text message/message conversations using the trackpad. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.
I just got a Blackberry a few days ago (last Wednesday to be exact) and it really hasn't been too bad of a phone. I came from a HTC Diamond which I loved but I wanted something stable and good with battery life and so far once I killed the battery the usual three days and charging fully it has been lasting me great.
Anyway, the question was whether it's possible to automatically not include the original message on my phone when I reply to an e-mail or if there is a keyboard shortcut I missed that can do that for me. Basically to save twenty bucks a month I use Google Voice and it uses my e-mail address to text people and I don't want the original message at all and have to push the Blackberry menu button then scroll down to Delete Original Text then type my message then send it.I still haven't had a change to search for figuring out OS 5 or anything crazy like that yet but since I rolled WM 6.6 on my Diamond and kinda loved it I may soon. But so far 4.7 has been pretty stable.
can anyone tell me how to get the little R on text messages to indicate that the person has read your text.I already have the little D on messages to show that the message has been delivered.
I had a pearl for a few years and just upgraded to the curve a few days ago. The problem is I can't reply to emails. After I receive an email I can select reply and type in my response. I then press the menu key and the only options that come up are "help, save draft, flag, Add to:, Add CC,,etc" I can fwd the email and I can send a new email. For some reason I can reply with my hotmail account no problem but not with my gmail account. This all worked fine on my pearl.
My current text messages are being combined with old text messages, creating messages that don't reflect what I sent. The recipients of my texts are very confused....as am I when I get there response.
I cannot see my sent text messages and now I can't see messages people have sent to me. I have a bb9300 and i tried going to options and my hide messages is not on i dont no
I sent a SMS text message to another verizon user and it was recieved, but there is no little D next to the check mark. So can somebody tell me what this little D means, and if my sms text was recieved and it was sent to another verizon user, why is there no little D?
I Cannot Receive SMS Text Messages Sometimes, (Once In A While It Will Work Fine) Unless I Reboot The Phone. Then It Receives Them All Very Quickly. I Am Running V. 5 .0.0.807 (Bundle 1402, Platform 3.2.0.31)
I bought my blackberry about a month ago and one of the problems that i keep getting is that sometimes, i can't scroll up while viewing a text message. The window doesn't move past the third message (as that is all that will fit on the window) and I can't see the previous messages.
I have only had my Blackberry since Friday and I haven't received any text messages that people have sent to me. I have spoken to Vodafone who say that I needed a new sim card as the one I have, I have had for 13 years. I picked up the new sim today and still no text messages.
My phone shows that I have 4 unopened texts yet I cant find them in the complete list of messages. I've looked in all folders but still cant find them.
I have Curve 9300 3G, running on OS 6 (6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223)The device is automatically deleting my messages after few feeks, starting from the oldest (they last about 1 month than they are deleted..)I have tried to look for an option of "how long to save messages" in the device and couldn't find any.... In the device manual it says and in the device HelpSearch it sais the same:home->messages->options-> Message Display and Actions , but this sub-category option doesn't appear on my device messages options (i googled it and also ppl said they can't find this option on their curve 3G...)i have in option of messages this sub-categories:General Text Messaging options, SMS Text, MMS and in none of them there is an option regarding how long to keep txt messages...
* Memory Cleaning is disabled** Also in some searches in google ppl said free some memory. it is not the problem.. i have 70 MB free on the device and 7GB free in my memory card.. my BB is new.. only 2 month old so where can i set the device settings regarding saving my messages?
I am looking into contacting my players via text messaging (because this is the way high school kids communicate)... Is there a good way to do this with my BlackBerry Curve 8530? Group text messaging?
My text have just stopped sending ive had this trouble before many times but always went back to normal after a reboot, but now it wont come back i have tried, resetting the whole phone, battery pull, normal reboot, updating OS, deleting loads of stuff and nothing wants to work i done my centre number thing again and still nothing, as i said before i just rebooted and it was fine now its been about 2 weeks with no way of texting, and when i try to send a message it just says UNIDENTIFIED SUBSCRIBER, with a red cross next to it, i can still recieve texts though.
I send text messages to my boyfriend all the time but .. I cannot figure out a way to send them to my email account.I have choosen the OPTIONs and clicked FORWARD or FORWARD AS ... but it only saves the last message. I would like the entire email string of messages which goes back several weeks to be forwarded. But it seems I can only choose FORWARD AS and then it only forwards the last post.
I have a block of texts that I just cannot delete. I've tried deleting them from the SMS Folder and I've also tried taking the battery out while the phone is on for 30 seconds; nothing works.
i'm trying to figure out how to get photos from text messages, off my phone and on to my computer. i am able to save photos i've taken, but not that others have sent me. is it possible to do it without e-mailing them to myself?
I can't seem to retrieve text messages from mid October for some of my contacts. I need to retrieve some of these older messages but can't seem to see them. Any assistance would be appreciated. I have a 9360 curve.
My soon to be ex husband came and took my phone today and it still has all of my texts and email on it. I don't think he has the right to read any of it because we aren't together-is there a way from my computer to delete them?
