How do I print from my Lumia 950 to my HP officejet which is WiFi enabled. I am able to print to it from my wife's android. The HPAio beta app from the store doesn't work at all. It says looking for printers and nothing happens . How can we print from this phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my Lumia 1520 handy but when I tried to connect it to the local Wifi hotspot (WPA2 encrypted), it times out saying "Connection unsuccessful - No response from the network". I searched the net for solutions and based on those, I restarted the Wifi Router, my Lumia 1520. Also I did a factory reset of the device.
But still, it is unable to connect to Wifi hot spot.I also tried connecting with another Wifi hotspot (WPA2), but nothing good happened. My other devices like Surface, Lumia 1020 are able to connect to the same hotspot without any issues. There is no restrictions on no. of Wifi connection as I am broadcasting the Wifi from my laptop (Windows 8.1 Update 1) as a virtual wifi hotspot.
I need to print to a Wifi print and use a 3G or 4G for the internet.How can i do this? If i turn on Wifi i have no internet and it won't connect 3G or 4G
View 7 Replies View RelatedNow that I'm taking more photos since I got the 1020, I've been printing a few of them. However, when I print (to 4x6 lately), the picture does not take up the whole area on the picture paper. I'm doing borderless printing, but there is still white area. Is this due to the 16x9 aspect when taking the pictures?
I can force the program to fill the entire paper, but then of course you lose a little bit of the picture. It hasn't been egregious yet, but I was wondering what the fix is? Perhaps I'm just missing something basic...
Is there a way to print office documents, emails, pdf, etc. directly from a Nokia 1020? I thought this would be very simple or that there would be plenty of apps for this, but so far I cannot find one.

I also tryied ics and still it doesnt work but the screen dont freeze.Some times it just enables and then after it disconnects 1-2 times by itself and stops working for 1-2 days.

I recently purchased a Moto X Pure and am using it with Cricket. I recently noticed a problem that I have been running into. When the phone is connected to WiFi, my MMS messages will not send or receive. I have to physically turn off my WiFi network for the messages to come through or to send out. I am using the Google messaging app and not the stock messenger app.

I had wifi enabled and my phone was down to 60% but after approximately 2 minutes, the phone would stop charging. I tried two other non-Motorola USB chargers, one (not made for cell phones) didn't work at all, the other had the same problem.
Wtiuh Wifi turned off, the phone charged normally.
Just got the new Bold 9650. Should I have the firewall enabled, and the encryption enabled? What else should I do to make sure that my phone is secure?
View 7 Replies View RelatedOur wireless at work has a mac table setup with unique keys so anytime someone forgets/otherwise screws up their wifi connection they come to have it reset... Everytime I make a comment about how they are really only draining their battery by leaving wifi enabled 24/7 yet they continue to do it..
SO - what do you use WiFi for?
I know there are some (very, very few) apps that require a wifi connection..
Facetime requires WiFi but at this point it's more of a novelty than anything else..
Throughput is a little better but not enough to justify the additional battery drain..
The hotspot app (as soon as the IP4 jailbreak is released..)
Checking mail/browsing the net in an area with no at&t service..
That is all that comes to mind.. I think they just like to enable it because they can, but let me know if I'm missing anything?

I'm having a problem when I enable wifi, the phone switches to 4G (in the status bar) and has 1 bar, but then I cannot make or receive calls. If I disable wifi for data, then the phone switches to 'E' (in the status bar) and has 4 bars. I can then make and receive calls.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I have the following problem. I am using Lumia 1020 for the past 6 months (give or take) and unfortunately my job ended today, so I had to return the SIM card I got from them, but was able to keep the phone.
I already have a new postpaid SIM, but this time from a different carrier. The SIM is not yet active (it usually take around 1-2 days). I put the card in the phone and start it up. A demo mode is enabled and it seems I can't get rid of it, there is also no "Reset phone" under "About" in Settings.
So I had the pleasure to setup my brand new Lumia 950 XL (Single SIM unlocked, CV Germany, but provider T-Mobile DE, build 10586.0) today. After the first hours of installation I was able to actually use it and really begin to like it.
But I already came across a major issue. It might be hardware related, but I assume it is software: While making a call (even tuned down to 2G only, Wifi and NFC off, no special apps installed I suppose), the connection gets quiet within a minute or so after enabling or starting with bluetooth, and the phone reboots some seconds later. I do not even need a device to be connected, the scanning for it may be sufficient. The dialog partner sometimes also reports very bad sound quality before it happens.
In the past, the airprint was possible without problems from iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Since today it doesn't work anymore. My iPhone 4 and my iPad 2 is connected by wi-fi and I can serve in the internet. But I can't print on HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus. On the other hand, I can print over wi-fi from PC.
There are low ink-levels and therefore a message comes to indicate this by printing from PC. iPhone and iPad are accepting the print order without any messages after, but does't excecute the print.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWent to tether my Bionic to my laptop this AM and realized I didn't have a USB cable with me. I called VZW to get the wireless hotspot enabled on my phone for a couple days. Check. Went to settings to turn on the Hotspot. Nothing. nada. zip. Got a message saying it was retreiving the agreement, and then got a message that said I needed to call VZW to enable the feature. But I just did that. Reboot the phone. Try again. Same thing.Call VZW back, they verify I was indeed provisioned for hotspot, and tell me to reboot the phone. Still doesn't work. Get handed off to a technician.Reboot the phone again. No go. Turn the Bionic off and pull the SIM. Re-seat the SIM, boot up the phone, still no hotspot.I'm now almost 90 minutes into trying to get my Bionic's hotspot feature to work (because I wanted to avoid a trip to buy an overpriced USB cable). Tech says we'll have to do a hard reset. I decline and tell him I'll add this feature to my list of disappointments with my Bionic. He asked if there was anything else I needed, and I said the release date for the ICS update, but of course, they couldn't help me with that.

Android 2.1, Network to GSM only, WiFi enabled only when I'm using the internet and the screen brightness to medium. I have "Advanced Task Killer" on Auto-Kill and "Juice Defender" enabled on Default. I have charged it i think 8-9 times since I got it. I have always plugged it when the phone said that it needs charging. Should I had left it discharge completely? Yesterday, I charged my phone in the afternoon and I didn't use it at all! Today, when I woke up, my battery was at 75% !!! Why is that happening???
