im due delivery of my 950 tomorrow and im just wondering the best way to transfer all my stuff from the 650 to the 950. also if i take the sd card out and put in the 950 will it be recognised straight away or will it wipe it.
keep reading threads of lots of problems with the 950, been a massive fan of lumia but its starting to worry me now.

Not sure what to say but I cannot understand why it is taking too long to transfer stuff on my phone w595, the cable is ok but it does not put the ringtones where I can access them for wallpaper. My older phones like W850 really worked faster is this phone W595 slower Any advise would help.

Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.
there is some sort of white pixels/moist/dust i don't know what it is but its there on top part of the screen and i can see them on colored background except like pitch black background

View 3 Replies View RelatedI, like several others are having issues with getting text messages from the cloud onto my new Lumia 950 which I've had for about 4 days now. As of this moment it's still stuck from January 2013 and it hasn't taken this long before so it could be a server side that's been causing the issue. So I tried using the Transfer My Data app to transfer text messages and whenever I pair them it doesn't allow my Lumia 920 to transfer texts only contacts.
Is that because it's using an old Bluetooth that doesn't allow transfer, but I paired it the opposite way and it transferred over my Lumia 950 texts onto my 920... . So I tried using the contacts+message backup app by uploading the text backup using OneDrive and then downloading that onto my Lumia 950 but that wouldn't work either since the restore option was grayed out.
I'm a bit stumped. I have my Icon synced with my Mercedes C300 via Bluetooth. Everything works fine..receiving and making calls. Responding to texts with Cortana. However, I want to add a new contact to the cars phone book. I go to the contact on the Icon...select share the contact...choose via Bluetooth....but the Bluetooth connection for the car does not show up to select. This is very strange since the phone and the car are already connected via Bluetooth.

I shot video with an app named Video Camera Pro - it puts the files in some hidden forder , not in camera roll.
The app says that the way to upload the files is by wi-fi and they provide a link to download a server software but its broken.

The SIM from my 1020 was larger than the SIM for the V10, and apparently it's not possible for them to use their software to transfer SIM contacts off of Windows phone because of software restrictions.
I'd really like to get my contacts from my old SIM card transferred to my new phone but I can't figure out how to do it. I connected my 1020 to my computer but I can't find the SIM contacts anywhere in the file directory.

I tried to transfer back the pics back to the phone via UBS cable, the phone registered the transfer as successful but I am able to open / even locate when I using the phone. I tried the appealing Bluetooth option, but unfortunately it didn't work. The pairing of the devices seemed to go OK.But after starting "contacts transfer" with some dots running over the screen of Lumia for a few second, I got "unable to complete the connection etc.".So apparently N95 is not supported or something.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy work have decided to renew our mobile contracts and rather than a 1020 I have to use a Galaxy S5. Ordinarily it wouldn't bother me but I have a lot of SMS on the phone since the 1020 first released.
So onto my question is there anyway I can transfer all of my SMS messages from the 1020 over to Android. My 1020 is staying with me as it's surplus to requirements and with it being a 64gb edition I'd like to use it as my personal phone.
