I have a Canadian Xoom updated to 3.1, When I plug the usb into my laptop I see MZ604Device Storage - no SD Card. I have an SD card in the device which I can see when I access the 'Files' app.
View 5 RepliesLooking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems. Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.
Have just bought a new E72.A 4 GB memory card is already inserted by Nokia and it has a lot on it - maps etc I guess.I am getting a 32gb card for additional stuff.How can I easily get the stuff from the original card onto the new card - can I just transfer it via a PC??

My Xoom will not even allow me to transfer the video to it saying the format is not supported. Why can I play these on droid 4 and not on Xoom. Is there a problem with the software in the Xoom?

I just installed a new app I found in the latest issue of PC Magazine. It is called Software Data Cable. It provides ftp file transfer between an Android device and your PC. It works best with Filezilla Client to transfer files over your wifi network. Works excellent with my Xooom with ICS. Fast and no USB cable needed. Only negative is that it seems to only see the internal SD storage.

The copy progress bar comes up but stops before completion. I have no problem copying files from my old XP machine so it appears to be something in Win 7 or my particular set up causing the problem.

I used a usb cord to copy my Word ducuments to tablet, but the sd card in tablet does not show anything. I did a factory reset and called tech support but nothing works. If i set the camera to jpeg it will launch the gallery and allow me to import these so i know the cables work, the images can be imported and stored on the xoom. Have also read variuos things that say direct raw import are not possible but am not sure if this is now out of date. I also know rawdroid works ok once i can get the files on the xoom so have my raw viewer sorted. Now, if i try and use file manager and check at the /mnt directory i can't see a way to find the sd card in the camera to try and copy them over. This was one of the key things i wanted to get working on this when i bought it.

Try to take a pick it says failed to write file but if I switch storage to phone it'll take the pic. Tried to move stuff from SD to internal and it just cancels. I can still see my files that are on the SD card such as pictures and music and pulling that stuff up works fine. Also have 20 gigs available on the 32 gig SD card and like 28 available on the phone.

I installed the SD card and have been trying to move apps and pictures to the card, but when I try I get a notification saying there is insufficient space on the card. When I go into the settings and check the storage, the device storage is maxed at 16G, but the SD card shows 29G of available space.
