Is there anyway to turn speech command off that prevent it from activating all together? If not, is there a way to get rid of that pop up screen every time it activates by accident?
View 13 RepliesWhen using my bluetooth connection in my car, if I use the speech program to dial a number, it will pull up the name and start to dial but then it hangs up. It seems to only do this in my car as seems to work when just using the phone. Having issues with this using your bluetooth connection in the car? By the way, every other aspect of the bluetooth in the car seems to work including incoming and outgoing texting by voice.

View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I had to select the option to find photos and videos shot with Nokia Camera. However, after it finished my phone wanted to upload my entire gallery to SkyDrive...again! I don't fancy having a wait a few hours to upload the same images which are already on SkyDrive but there doesn't seem to be an option to cancel the queue. The only option is to cancel each individual image which will take ages. I've tried disabling auto upload to SkyDrive but the photos remain in the queue, even after a reboot.

I would also like to find out if I can re-upgrade to windows 8.1. I am suspecting that it may not have installed correctly because there was power interruption during the upgrade process. My phone is Lumia 1020.
I have a Lumia 1020 and like two months ago it just stopped being recognized by my pc for syncing it. I tried connecting it to a mac and another pc and it is not recognized. I reset my phone but that didn't work. I'm using the original cable but it does not work.
View 15 Replies View RelatedProbably 60% of the time when I hit the volume down button the option to change the Ringer/Notifications and the Media/Apps volume comes up. I can then, of course, mute the volume on each of those or obviously adjust the volume. However, the other 40% of the time, only the volume for Media/Apps comes up, with no option for the Ringer.
I think this tends to happen when I'm in my car which is communicating with my phone via Bluetooth....could that have a connection to this issue? Also, is there an easier way to mute the phone quickly? Cortana does not seem to perform the mute feature.
I am using latest build 10586. Is there any chance to get DNG support back in Windows Mobile 10 for the Lumia 1020?

I tried to uninstall it and the replug it in but this does not work. I followed the instructions at: support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2749484 but without success. My phone still won't be recognized.

View 8 Replies View RelatedJust got a brand new (straight from ATT fresh out of the box) Lumia 1020. Usually they come with a decent enough charge left in them to turn them on and go through setup etc.. however this one seemed totally dead so I figured the battery must have run out.
I plug it in to the wall using the charger that came with the phone and nothing happens, I switch over to plugging in via USB to my computer and the computer does recognize and install the drivers however the 1020 will not start.
I have noticed that the home (windows) button is blinking repeatedly and I assume that means its trying to charge however a few things
The windows button does not blink when plugged in to the wall socket, when plugged in via my USB hub the windows button blinks long slow blinks, when plugged directly in to my computers USB port the windows button blink short fast blinks.
I have recently updated to the latest version of Windows Phone 10. The camera suddenly stopped working. It either shows a black screen (in photo mode) or 4 small squares of the same image (in Video Mode).

I went ahead and approved it and it ended up being the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. The upgrade went smoothly. For some reason Windows Maps will not launch. This is also affecting the HERE app.

I use the windows phone app on my Mac but it when I delete all the images via the app it still shows that there is still images on the phone even though my camera roll on the actual phone shows no images. It's still showing 7GB worth of images on the windows phone app when the phone is connected to the app. I even deleted all media content and it still shows it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter being a huge advocate for Windows Phone I'm just about done with it after moving from WP7.5 and Zune to WP8.I can't sync anything using Windows Media Player. I put stuff in the sync list and it looks like it syncs then I check the sync status and everything has "error" in the status and nothing has copied. Doesn't matter if it's songs I own or subscription - nothing syncs through media player. I think I did get it to sync to my wife's 620.
According to MSFT this will not let me sync Zune subscription which is another issue I have - and the biggest issue is that I can't sync playlists period. They show up with 0 songs when I sync using the Windows Phone App. But I was hoping using Media Player might solve that but it's not working.I'm using WIndows 7 on my PC. I'm a long time Zune user/promoter. Right now I can't get music on my phone in any reasonable fashion.
I've notice two bugs with this new update on my unlocked 1020 with tmobile:
1. I can no longer hear any notifications, or alarms.
When I navigate to settings>ringtones+notifications>and try to set my ringtone, I can't even get a preview of the sound. When i press the preview/play button, i get backed out into the settings menu again.
2. When I am typing a text and someone else texts me, I get backed out into the main menu/ metro pane menu.
Noticed these problems with OS version 8.10.12382.878
I tried a soft reset and a hard reset (factory), but it didn't work....
Having owned several iPhones, iPods, and numerous mp3 players, I am still unable to create or edit a playlist in Windows Explorer on my Lumia 1020. I have more than 2000 songs on the phone and would like to be able to make several playlists the easy way. Inside the playlist folder I can find no way to make, edit or add songs to a playlist. I would hate to have to put all my music into iTunes again and then sync and transfer it to the phone. Likewise, I would hate to try to use Windows Media Player and sync and transfer that to the Windows 8 phone.
