View 5 RepliesI just wanted to know, whats your battery drain on your lumia 1020 over night? My scenario is to charge it to 100% in the evening and then let it there without using ist for ~9-10hrs until the next day. Certainly with wifi/Bluetooth/mobile data off, glance off and all apps closed.
My 1020 looses around 8-9% Battery over night...
So this morning my brand new 1020 is saying it's out of memory. I take a look, and it had been taking pictures (while sitting on the nightstand, plugged in and charging), all night long. Thousands of pictures. I've searched for this issue and am not coming up with anything.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy 1020 is about 2 weeks old and at night I'm noticing about 3 areas on the screen that are significantly darker on black backgrounds. It makes the black areas look splotchy and is really only noticeable at night. These aren't dead pixels but what looks to be dark areas on the screen.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy 1020 has become quite sluggish of late so I've decided I'm going to do a hard reset at the very least.I bought the device (yellow AU CV) whilst on holiday in Australia, but I'm now back in the UK, so I thought as I'm going to wipe it anyway, I might as well reflash it to the CV UK ROM, especially as Australia appear to be massively stalling on Denim as well.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI saw in the videos that we can take pictures without flash...but i'm unable to get any pics...it's dark . Just want to know what i'm doing wrong. I'm able to get pics with flash though...
Without flash
With Flash
When using the flash, in camera pro, id say 70 or 80 percent of shots come out dark, as if the flash hasn't been used at all. Its the same at night or in the day,
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy flash suddenly stopped working on Sunday evening.
I was tweaking the manual camera settings, and then a few minutes later it would not flash. The assistance light turns on, but then nothing - the pic takes without flash. I don't know if it's a coincidence that the flash stopped working just after trying to discover the manual settings, or if somehow that has affected the flash.
I tried resetting all of the manual camera options first (to auto). I then tried "using default settings" in settings, then tried "camera reset" in photos+settings, then restarting my phone, then a soft reset, I even tried uninstalling and re-installing the Nokia Camera app. Nothing has worked.
I discover a really annoying bug when using flash and manual focus. So to reproduce it with no doubt, use a white subject, like a written paper, or something white to capture at a very close distance, let's say 20 cm (or 7 inches). Then:
- Open Nokia Camera.
- First thing, select manual focus.
- Be sure Flash is on.
- Now take the picture.
What you now (should) have is an unusual burned picture. If you take the same picture, with totally the same settings, and using autofocus, instead, the light is normal and the paper correct.
I discover a "workaround" with pressing the autofucus button, let it try to focus something, first, and then using Manual Focus (it seems like a first procedure in autofocusing resets some parameters).
After this and taken the picture, flash and light seem correct, but comparing the autofocus picture taken first, with the Manual Focus one taken later, the manual one results again a bit brighter (in my example the color changed and the more brightness is barely noticeable, but I assure you, depending on colors and distance, it gets just more).
I already tried on 3 1020s.
1 - mine
2 - a friend of mine's
3 - one in a NStore shop directly from the shelf (the employer was embarassed for not knowing that issue).
The problem always occurred.
Noticed a white hazy region at the top region of pictures taken at night with the xenon flash on? It seems to be because of the placement of the flash above the lens and maybe some mistiming between the firing and the shutter closing instant?
View 17 Replies View RelatedPictures shots from Nokia camera during daytime or normal shots is fine but when use with flash pictures most of the time under expose or complete dark. I notice the flash behavior, if camera flash fire twice the picture is fine but fire only once then the picture is totally dark. I already reset the phone twice but still the same.
View 24 Replies View RelatedMy friend is having a problem with his Lumia 1020 when taking low light outdoor pictures with flash on.
He says that everything is fine during the day and when he is taking indoor low light pictures with the flash, but as soon as he take outdoor picture he is getting some kind of red blur in the top center of the photo, he sent me two examples:
His phone is on 8.1 and he is not sure is it software or hardware related.
So I finally updated to Black today and to my surprise the damn yellow tint is still present when using flash indoors.I did one shot before the update with Nokia Pro Cam, and on after the Black update and after updating to Nokia Camera.
They look nearly identical.
-before black
-after black
no flash after black [this looks most like the real thing] . Notice similar issue with the yellow tint not being fixed after updating to Black? Also forgot to mention, all setting were on auto, on the top two shots, on the no flash one, change from auto flash to no flash.
I have had my Lumia for 10 days and for the second time it crashes during the night and the next morning I was not able to turn it on using the power button. I had to do a soft reset... The alarm that I set to wake me up never started... This means that I cannot trust my phone for waking me up in the morning! This is unacceptable!
View 13 Replies View RelatedI use my phone as my alarm so I keep it plugged in next to me, and I enjoy the glance screen on at night for groggily checking to see if o have to get up or not! I've tried the different colors and night mode, bit don't like any of those.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to control the button backlights? It would be really nice to be able to turn them off. Ever try to read a Kindle book or watch videos in the dark? The buttons are really bright compared to the screen and they hurt my eyes. I could find any control in the settings. Any chance of adding that feature

If so, doed hardware in the phone will support the new LTE bands in the LATAM rom?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the 1020. I get updates on my Facebook page from Shape magazine. It has videos on workouts. When I click on the link it says I need an app and do I want to install. I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI wonder if there is an app similar to "No screen off" (Android) that allows to suspend the automatic screen off, then reactivate it with the previously memorized delay.
Click on the widget to toggle between the two modes, to change the screen timeout.
I just want to know if the OIS is working by looking at the camera.

View 3 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
On my N8 and 808 I would just hold down the slide unlock. I did some searches but can't find out how to do it on the 1020. Do i need to get an app?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, my Lumia 1020 died on me today for no apparent reason. I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.
