my tritan wont pick up my sandisk 2gb micro sd card. its says card not inserted even though its is. my computer picks it up perfectly same with my old phone which is a samsung impression. i have no clue what is wrong.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy BB has been running really slow lately so I installed a memory card to alleviate the issue. It helped for a while but now I'm back to a slow crawl at times which has really caused some problems when VZ Navigator just freezes on me.I know if I can just clean the emails and text messages off the media card, but I can't figure out how to access the cards memory bu itself. I certainly don't want to clear the pictures off of it (it's only a couple but I'd rather not delete them) so I'd rather not format the card if I don't have to.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got a VX 9100, and I'm trying to transfer a bunch of mp3s to my phone via card. It is a new 4 gb card. I formatted it, and then I drag-and-dropped a bunch (just over 500) of mp3s onto the card. I put the card into the phone, and it finds many of the mp3s, but not all of them. Moreover, it seems to lose more and more of the mp3s the further into the album list it goes.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? The files do appear to be on the memory card.Are there hard-wired limits to the number of songs on an album? The number of songs on a card?Also, there's not by any chance any third-party or replacement mp3 players for the VX9100 are there? I'd like to be able to resume playing where I was, and as best I can tell, this phone doesn't do that generally (though it may do it when you get interrupted by phone call).
I have broken my e71 phone and want to retrieve the contacts (phone numbers / names) that were saved on the micro sd card. I have a PC usb card reader and can see the microsd directory structure, however I do not know where the contacts are stored. Does anyone know how I can retrieve the numbers from the microsd card?

I had a lot of music on the card and up until a few days ago it was working perfectly.Yesterday I switched on the phone and it would not recognise the card. View 9 Replies View RelatedI switched to and Android from an iPhone 5s. I love the freedom of a Droid over the constricting OS of Apple. First I had a Google phone, but switched to the LG G3. The reason is to accommodate to 40 gigs of music, and put it on the LGs external micro SD card. For the life of me I cannot get the music to play off of the 32 gig internal memory or the 64 gig external micro SD card. I get error messages when the songs wont play at all, or the songs skip like fast forwarding. I'm using a ScanDisk 64 gig micro SD card. The only way I can get the music to play is to burn up AT&T data while streaming in Google Play app. Do I need a different brand? Do I need to mount it in a certain order?
I CAN get music to play off of the 32gig internal memory, but not the SD card.
How to get my phone to "find" the micro SD card? Have put it in and out,restarting it with it in and I have checked that it works but somehow it doesn't work in my phone.

I put the card in the G3 and rebooted the phone. When I took the card back out to put it in the computer (thinking that might make for a quicker transfer), I noticed the phone formatted the card (like I thought it would) and added some folders and files already. The folders on there are:
.android_secure
Android
LGBackup
The "secure" and "Backup" folders have nothing in them. The Android folder has a folder named "data". In that folder are some other folders:
com.google.android.apps.magazines
com.google.android.gms
com.google.android.music
com.google.android.youtube
com.lge.thinkfreeviewer

com.twitter.android
This happened 2 days ago while taking a video. My phone didn't take any damage or fall. While taking a photo it said SD card was unmounted and stopped shooting. I tried SD card with another phone and it worked perfect however the video was corrupted I think.

The micro sd works in my galaxy tab 3 and a friends S4.
The S5 does however recognise the Sandisk 16GB SDHC that came with my galaxy tab.
When I connect an sd card reader to the s5 via the micro usb slot the phone recognises the card???

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone (a nokia e52) is getting quite low on memory so I want to move my messages to the microSD card. I had, however played with this setting when I first got the phone. Because of this, when I now select the microSD card as the location for messages, the SMS/mms messages received since I first changed that setting are not transferred to the memory card. Does anyone know how to transfer these newer messages? I have tried creating a new folder, moving messages there and then changing the location setting but the new folder and its contacts did not transfer to the memory card.

I emailed scandisk and they said its a common problem with nokias they put a password on the memory cards if you take them out and put them back in or update your phone etc. Scandisk have assured me that they do not make the memory cards to have passwords and its nokias fault. Can anyone pls help i cannot access my kids photos now and cannot afford to lose them No matter which phone i use it comes up enter password. Currently i am using nokia 6300 and 6600. One person on a different forum suggested going to file manager, settings, system folders, getting a file called MMCSTORE bluetooth to your pc open in notepad and password is in there. BUT i dont have anyone of these options in my phone especially file manager!

View 6 Replies View RelatedHave owned my 2nd n97 for 3 months now and suddenly when I downloaded an application called "shopping list" off the ovi suite site I had major troubles.My saved location for apps from ovi is to my :E drive which has 25gb free space, but after installation of the app I thought id open it and check it out.So I opened it, the app froze, I managed to exit it and then uninstalled it ASAP,.Next I connected the phone to my laptop to discover more corrupt files so I have deleted all that I can find.After that my phone was running like a tutle and would freeze on me,So I thought to remove battery and micro SD card, when suddenly turning the phone on without the micro SD card it would work really well.Question is: why would the phone work fine without the micro SD when I save apps to the E drive ? I have reformatted the micro SD card and it still freezes my phone and brings up a message "E memory full,move or delete some files" , how can that b possible when I have 25gb free? IM over all these dramas that nokia software/apps has given me.

I have always stored my SMSs on my micro SD memory card with no problems, but today they completely disappeared, I have nothing left in my Inbox, Drafts or Sent folders - over a year's worth of messages that I wanted to keep!It happened today when I went into the photo settings on the N86 and noticed that my photos were being saved in 'Mass Storage', so I changed the option to 'Memory Card'. For some strange reason this seems to have had the effect of wiping / overwriting all my saved SMSs on the memory card. Strangely other files seem to have been left untouched, e.g. in the document folder.
Can anyone help?

I have been using my BB Bold for a little over a month now with the Sprint supplied 2GB MicroSD card installed. My encryption has been set to "OFF." I just received at my door a new TopRam 8GB Class 6 MicroSD card that I would like to swap into my 9650 in place of the OE provided 2GB card. Please, what is the procedure for swapping the cards, while retaining all my data and settings as I currently have them on the phone/card, with the new 8GB card? Is there a way to do this reliably without the use of the BB Desktop Manager Software by simply copying files to my PC off the 2GB card, then copying onto the 8GB card? -or am I better off doing it by backing up to my PC with the Desktop Manager Software, then restoring from the pc to the phone through USB cable? In either case, please give me a step-by-step. I don't want to screw this up or have partially copied data, or other hangups PS: Maybe I missed it, but I searched (read about 20 threads) & didn't find the answer there or in FAQ's - Thought for sure this would be an FAQ. If I missed it, well...sorry - please enlighten me.
