My phone (a nokia e52) is getting quite low on memory so I want to move my messages to the microSD card. I had, however played with this setting when I first got the phone. Because of this, when I now select the microSD card as the location for messages, the SMS/mms messages received since I first changed that setting are not transferred to the memory card. Does anyone know how to transfer these newer messages? I have tried creating a new folder, moving messages there and then changing the location setting but the new folder and its contacts did not transfer to the memory card.
When I bought my Xperia Neo, I received a free 8gb micro SD-card from class 2. I wanted a faster one and a bigger one to fullfill my new preferences. I bought a Transcend 16gb micro SD-card class 6.
1) Is this compatible with my Sony Ericsson smartphone?
2) How do I transfer all my data from my current SD-card to the new one without losing my installed apps, pictures and other stuff that's installed on.
Can someone tell me how SMS messages are stored on a Nokia N86 and in what kind of file? I need to restore from a memory card. I have always stored my SMSs on my micro SD memory card with no problems, but today they completely disappeared, I have nothing left in my Inbox, Drafts or Sent folders - over a year's worth of messages that I wanted to keep!It happened today when I went into the photo settings on the N86 and noticed that my photos were being saved in 'Mass Storage', so I changed the option to 'Memory Card'. For some strange reason this seems to have had the effect of wiping / overwriting all my saved SMSs on the memory card. Strangely other files seem to have been left untouched, e.g. in the document folder.
How do I save my text messages to my micro sd card all at once, or do I have to do it one by one? Please explain how to save text conversations to my card so I can later access them. Also, on the other end of the spectrum, how do I delete all my SMS texts at one time? I can easily figure out how to do it one by one, but I have over 100 that I want to do all at one time.
is there any way to move messages from the phone to sim or the micro sd card?i have a data cable and can plug it into my computer to do it manually. i just dont know how.
I have broken my e71 phone and want to retrieve the contacts (phone numbers / names) that were saved on the micro sd card. Is it possible to move messages from the sent folder to other folders within Mail for Exchange. My company uses Exchange 2007 and sometimes I reply to queries from my N900. However although the N900 does synchronize the sent items folder from Exchange 2007 any outgoing messages are stored in the Sent folder. Therefore any messages I send from the phone are not synchronized back to my desktop Outlook. The only way round this I have found is by bcc'ing myself on all messages which does get quite tedious.
I have tried creating a mobile sent folder in Outlook which then synchronizes to the phone. However when I try moving a message on the phone from the Sent folder to the Mobile sent folder I get an error message "Unable to move to current location."
I have a scandisk micro memory card which has locked itself with a password! I emailed scandisk and they said its a common problem with nokias they put a password on the memory cards if you take them out and put them back in or update your phone etc. Scandisk have assured me that they do not make the memory cards to have passwords and its nokias fault. Have owned my 2nd n97 for 3 months now and suddenly when I downloaded an application called "shopping list" off the ovi suite site I had major troubles. My saved location for apps from ovi is to my :E drive which has 25gb free space, but after installation of the app I thought id open it and check it out.So I opened it, the app froze, I managed to exit it and then uninstalled it ASAP,.Next I connected the phone to my laptop to discover more corrupt files so I have deleted all that I can find. After that my phone was running like a tutle and would freeze on me,So I thought to remove battery and micro SD card, when suddenly turning the phone on without the micro SD card it would work really well.Question is: why would the phone work fine without the micro SD when I save apps to the E drive ? I have reformatted the micro SD card and it still freezes my phone and brings up a message "E memory full, move or delete some files" , how can that b possible when I have 25gb free? IM over all these dramas that nokia software/apps has given me.

Now to the problem: My Z2 runs 4.4.2, version 17.1.2.A.0.314, but I can not move any app to the card from within Settings -> Apps.
Other than freeing up device memory are there any advantages to moving apps to the SD card? Like in a rebuild situation after an OS upgrade? If I move the card to another phone will the apps show up on the screen?

I know with KK 4.4 that there are major revisions as to how apps can relate to the sd card. But, on the phone, can you dl data, jpegs, mp3. files, etc to the card directly? ...and, can you move files from internal to sd using ES Explorer or similar?

The problem is that i downloaded a few things from blackberry world and a box came up saying i didn't have enough space to continue yet the memory card says it's just about empty. I tried going through the manual but couldn't find the answer there and i even took it to the phone shop. He couldn't help but he did tell me something i didn't know. He said i have to pay £5 a month for the blackberry service!
