I switched to and Android from an iPhone 5s. I love the freedom of a Droid over the constricting OS of Apple. First I had a Google phone, but switched to the LG G3. The reason is to accommodate to 40 gigs of music, and put it on the LGs external micro SD card. For the life of me I cannot get the music to play off of the 32 gig internal memory or the 64 gig external micro SD card. I get error messages when the songs wont play at all, or the songs skip like fast forwarding. I'm using a ScanDisk 64 gig micro SD card. The only way I can get the music to play is to burn up AT&T data while streaming in Google Play app. Do I need a different brand? Do I need to mount it in a certain order?
I CAN get music to play off of the 32gig internal memory, but not the SD card.
Anyone have a problem with music skipping when playing off the Micro SD card? It's random, which eliminates the possibility of a bad file or corruption during the sync, and seems worse when the 4g function is turned on. Interestingly, the Photon is advertised as having 1GB of RAM, but the most I ever have available is 440MB.
I am having issue with playback issue on my new LG G3. I have synced up to 5000 - 6000 songs from my itunes library to my 128gb sand disk micro sd card using isyncr. The issue is that randomly I will hear pops or glitches, I am uncertain as to what is causing this though I did not experience any issues when the music was stored on the internal memory. I have tried another music player app (Shuttle) but that did not sort the issue.
I have a samsung galaxy s5 and I have added music from my laptop to my micro sd card and I can play the songs individually by going to the folder in my files but they do not appear in the pre installed music app.
I want to add music to my Micro SD card, which is why I got it in the first place, but I don't know if I need to create a folder on the card or do I just drop all the music on there.
I put the card in the G3 and rebooted the phone. When I took the card back out to put it in the computer (thinking that might make for a quicker transfer), I noticed the phone formatted the card (like I thought it would) and added some folders and files already. The folders on there are:
.android_secure Android LGBackup
The "secure" and "Backup" folders have nothing in them. The Android folder has a folder named "data". In that folder are some other folders:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, unrooted, and I have been using a Samsung Evo 32 GB MicroSD card since I bought the phone in July. About a week ago I went to check for a photo and found that all of my photo albums that were stored on the MicroSD card were not found, along with all of my music and ringtones. When I looked at the storage, it didn't read my MicroSD card at all.
I turned off the phone, took out the microSD card, and put it into my Samsung Galaxy TabPro tablet, but my tablet read no data at all on the MicroSD card.
I tried to put the MicroSD card into an adapter to look at it on my laptop, but the adapter software said the card had to be formatted before it could be opened in Windows, so I dropped that idea for now.
How to have my card readable again or at least be able to retrieve the photos that were on the card? I had transferred a lot of personal and important photos onto the card (recent weddings of friends and family, pictures of my dog, etc.), and I'll be pretty upset if that's all truly lost forever.
I picked up my new S6 from the Sprint store yesterday. I almost have all of my parameters set, outside of my pics & music from my S4 Mini . The guy at the Sprint store supported me with the contacts, and also put all of my music/video/pics onto the 32G Micro SD that I installed in the phone about 18 months ago.
I have the Micro Card, the Micro SD adapter to regular USB for my PC. I've made separate folders on my PC from the card---Video-Music-Pics, but there's some stuff I'm not familiar with that shows up as well.
My question is, what mode does my new S6 need to be in when I transfer this stuff to the phone?
I will say that some of the music (I have a LOT) wasn't set up very well in my S4 Mini and thats my fault for being in a hurry, but it did what I wanted it to do. I have the S6 plugged into my PC via charging cord/USB, and the Micro SD is in another USB port on the PC---
So I finally got my blackberry 9700 and I am in LOVE with it! I bought a 16GB memory card for it, insertet it and transfered a bunch of music. (it took hours).None of the music was transferred to my phone. Then I found out that my sd card wasn't formatted or something, and my phone won't read it. when I try to format it it fails..
My iPhone 4S sometimes stops playing music by itself while I am playing music. This occurs while my phone is on standby/locked mode; that is I am not using any apps.
I have an SIII but no one seems to be viewing those forums so I thought I would ask here. I've always stored my music in folders sorted by artist and never bothered with tagging as long as the file names started with numbers. I have over 300 gigs in music so I'm not about to start tagging now. my 32 gig sd card has 4500 music files. The music player doesn't play nice with my sorting - artist view winds up showing the same artists 10 times or sorts out compiltation albums while folder view has every single album (300-400 or so) sorted alphabetically.
I would like to go into the external sd card and play directly from there. I can do that, but only a single track will play and you can't use any other apps or browse when the track plays. Am I stupid or something? This is the main reason why I've always used Cowon music players or my sansa clip, I can simply go into folders and play. I have media monkey and love it but even there I use the folder directory.
I have broken my e71 phone and want to retrieve the contacts (phone numbers / names) that were saved on the micro sd card. I have a PC usb card reader and can see the microsd directory structure, however I do not know where the contacts are stored. Does anyone know how I can retrieve the numbers from the microsd card?
When I go to the music player and select a song to play, I get a message that tells me to plug in my headphones. The issue is that my headphones are plugged in. I didn't have this issue a week ago. I was listening to my music just fine. I have rebooted the device several times already. The weird thing is that I can hear the boot up sounds through my headphones, as well as notifications. I just can't play music. I have the same issue with the FM radio.
I had an aditional memory card of 4Gb. But now, I bought a 8Gb memory, I know the card is good because I put it in another cell phone and the phone registered the card well. But when I put it in mine it does not register the sd card: it says that there is no adittional memory in tne phone. It once gave an error. But I put it again and it did not say anything. What can I do? why it does not take the card. It is a Mobile
I know with KK 4.4 that there are major revisions as to how apps can relate to the sd card. But, on the phone, can you dl data, jpegs, mp3. files, etc to the card directly? ...and, can you move files from internal to sd using ES Explorer or similar?
I have an 8gb Micro-SD card in my Nokia C1-01. I had a lot of music on the card and up until a few days ago it was working perfectly.Yesterday I switched on the phone and it would not recognise the card. In fact, it said the card needed formatting! I re-formatted the card and put more music on it and it works fine again now but I do not understand what went wrong.
Ok not being funny but have read the instructions to the phone and searched on the net, but there is absolutely nothing in any of them that shows you how to insert a card into this phone, or even tells you where it goes. I have removed the battery looked inside no identification marks to out a card in, no visible places to slot a card in.
I have an Xperia X10 mini. how to access the SD card. I can access the album and the music player independently but would like to see what is on my sd card. I cannot seem to find a way to access the card.
How to get my phone to "find" the micro SD card? Have put it in and out, restarting it with it in and I have checked that it works but somehow it doesn't work in my phone.
This happened 2 days ago while taking a video. My phone didn't take any damage or fall. While taking a photo it said SD card was unmounted and stopped shooting. I tried SD card with another phone and it worked perfect however the video was corrupted I think.
my tritan wont pick up my sandisk 2gb micro sd card. its says card not inserted even though its is. my computer picks it up perfectly same with my old phone which is a samsung impression. i have no clue what is wrong.
I'm planning on upgrading the memory of my Xperia Ray which is 4gb..I saw a Kingston 8gb class 4 micro SD.will my Xperia Ray support a 8gb class 4 Micro SDHC card?
I had CWM a couple of years ago but now suddenly Nokia Music says that this computer is not the registered one. It worked couple of days ago and is still the same one. I had to reinstall Win7 a month ago and had to register it as 'new' one but after that it worked flawless.
So those 90 days between changing of computer has not passed yet.
My phone (a nokia e52) is getting quite low on memory so I want to move my messages to the microSD card. I had, however played with this setting when I first got the phone. Because of this, when I now select the microSD card as the location for messages, the SMS/mms messages received since I first changed that setting are not transferred to the memory card. Does anyone know how to transfer these newer messages? I have tried creating a new folder, moving messages there and then changing the location setting but the new folder and its contacts did not transfer to the memory card.
