We have a guest WiFi network here at work. The phone finds it, and I can join it. But it forgets it within a couple minutes. So if I want to do anything, I have to rejoin. I do not have unlimited data, so I like to make sure I'm not using 4G any more than I have to.
View 4 Replieslast Thursday I took mi iphone 4s to apple store otay ranch San diego CA my wifi was greyed out & said no wiffi what they did is they restore my Iphone & updated iOS5.1.1 thw wifi is working again now My iphone keeps forgetting my home and work wifi wep key. I can connect to it and its fine and hen i will put the phone down and leave it say 20 mins or even a couple of days and in that time it would have forgotten the wep key and i have to go through the whole process again of putting in the wep key. Its only been happening in the last week. I've only had the iphone 3 months and wondering why its doing this now. Its picking up networks fine and also conecting to them ok, its just the fact that it forgets the wep key this so anoying .

I noticed that after the latest update on VZW my calendar no longer "remembers" all of my events. I also tried using the google calendar app and it does the same thing. If I change the reminder time and save, the calendar will update accordingly but after a few hours it "forgets" everything that was updated. I even removed my gmail account and re added it with the same frustrating result. Adding to the frustration, my N7 has no issues seeing calendar events.

I recently use a SD card in my  Xperia Z3 Dual and then send all media files ( images,movie , music ,...) to sd card . So i define a Guest user in my device for my kid, i see that guest user can delete stored files in sd card.Is this my device defect or it is from Lollipop fault .Is the privacy note and aspects didn't consider for ability of definition several users in Lollipop.

I've been looking for an app or xposed module but no luck. I've been out the Android game for awhile with the iPhone 6 but now I'm back. On the iPhone there is a tweak to allow you to have a guest mode button on the lock screen.
I find it to be more convenient when someone picks up my phone. They can enter guest mode without the back and forth handling.

In lollipop, I see the option for creating guest account. During phone is locked with pattern or pin, anybody can just pull down the notification bar and create a guest a account and access my all personal files with file manager with guest account. So I want to avoid this. How can do that nobody can create guest account while my phone is locked.

So in my home I have an network extender set up to boost my WiFi on the side of my house where it is a little weaker. Speed tests show blasting upload/download speeds (50+ Down and 20+ Up) but I notice issues with notifications not coming over in real time or images within Instagram or Facebook taking forever to load. With the notification issue all of a sudden I will get a ton that flood in that are sometimes hours past when they were initially pushed. If I am connected to my main SSID (off the extender) things seem to come over fine. I checked the settings within the extender, but cannot seem to find anything that would either work or hinder things.

I get 3G in my area but I have been doing some research and as a result always keep edge on? That it's good for phone usage and text type applications like gmail chat and email? That if you are wanting to surf the Internet 3g and wifi is faster?
Basically the research that I have found is to keep edge on at all times and use 3g or wifi if you want faster results. Also keeping iPhone on edge network uses less battery?
Okay so there's this WiFi network at school. It is unsecured, and my teacher always connects to it. On my iPhone 3G it never shows up, though after I scan for networks using Stumbler (Stumbler says it's not hidden btw) it appears in the settings. So I click on it and it says "Cannot connect" (or something along those lines) and after the third try it disappears again. I tried using SpoofMAC to spoof my mac address to 11:11:11:11:11 and that didn't work.

View 15 Replies View RelatedAfter a clean install (restored as a new iPhone) of iOS 5.1 on my iPhone 3GS it keeps asking me the wifi network password every time I want to connect. The system doesn't remember the password. The curious fact is that my iPad 2 isn't affected by this bug. It is on iOS 5.1 too but I simply upgraded it from 5.0.1 without a clean install. Resetting network settings doesn't make it to work, the same with an hard reset.

My phone has been working perfectly till today, for some reason, I cannot get on online using the att network. I can have full bars and a 3g signal and still cannot get on. I can get on wifi with no problem. Anyone know what could have happened. My wifes phone is also doing the same thing. We are running the 4.3.5
I tried to update and restore the phone but it will not do it.
Edit: my mother in law just came by and I got on her iphone 3gs, her phone is doing the same thing. Att says there is no problem with their network.
