IPhone :: Keeps Forgetting Wifi Wep Key?
Jun 20, 2012last Thursday I took mi iphone 4s to apple store otay ranch San diego CA my wifi was greyed out & said no wiffi what they did is they restore my Iphone & updated iOS5.1.1 thw wifi is working again now My iphone keeps forgetting my home and work wifi wep key. I can connect to it and its fine and hen i will put the phone down and leave it say 20 mins or even a couple of days and in that time it would have forgotten the wep key and i have to go through the whole process again of putting in the wep key. Its only been happening in the last week. I've only had the iphone 3 months and wondering why its doing this now. Its picking up networks fine and also conecting to them ok, its just the fact that it forgets the wep key this so anoying .

Sep 29, 2014I noticed that after the latest update on VZW my calendar no longer "remembers" all of my events. I also tried using the google calendar app and it does the same thing. If I change the reminder time and save, the calendar will update accordingly but after a few hours it "forgets" everything that was updated. I even removed my gmail account and re added it with the same frustrating result. Adding to the frustration, my N7 has no issues seeing calendar events.

May 12, 2015We have a guest WiFi network here at work. The phone finds it, and I can join it. But it forgets it within a couple minutes. So if I want to do anything, I have to rejoin. I do not have unlimited data, so I like to make sure I'm not using 4G any more than I have to.

Jun 19, 2010I have been playing around after installing a beta from bigboss's beta repo that gets rid of recent apps, and only keeps backgrounder apps in the multitasking in bar. All the official apps work in he background (maps, app store, camera,etc.)After freeing memory with sbsettings, (once again beta that "free mem" is not glitched), these apps takes a lot less memory than they did before. Mobile music only uses approx 10-15mb now, a lot less than before. I could run maps, app store, music, and angry birds flawlessly. this was all on a regular 3g. BTW: Bigboss beta repo: thebigboss. org /betarepo/the music controls also work fine in the "double click multitask" menu, as does the rotation lock. the ipones' as zippy as ever

Jan 26, 2011I hate things like facebook and twitter however my desire hd sim free came with several apps installed i.e default ones.I have downloaded god knows how many file managers that let you uninstall apps however not yet found one that will let you uninstall the default ones. My second problem is that i am trying to delete the ringtones on the internal memory and also add my own to the list as it appears that you can only assign individualy ring tones to contacts that are the default tones is this correct? I can locate the files however the phone will not let me delete them add to them or modify them what so ever. Managed to now add ringtones to the default set so i can now use my own for individual contacts, just not managed to delete the default ones. I have just found something even more annoying the phone wont let me use my own text message alert i have stored on my phone anyone found a ay round this rather than using one from the net that the phone will let you download?i have also tried doing it via plugging it into my pc however it wont let you view the system files even by changing option to view system files under windows it will only allow viewing of the sd card.

For instance disabling "Samsung Push Services" seems to bring a little boost to battery performance.
Carrier bloat aside because that's a given to be disabled.

Nov 5, 2012I have Nokia 701 with FP2, Whenever I open the default browser or software update, the background apps or open apps like Nokia store, opera mini are closing on their own. When I closed the software update and started to use the opera mini and Nokia store, the Nokia store app is closing on its own. Other problems with fp2 are, camera takes long time to open. Gallery opens but we cannot tap on images, same thing with thumbnail image in the camera sometimes.

Jul 4, 2012After reading the posts here about assigning a different texting app rather than using VZWs stock texting app, I decided to try it. I disabled the stock app, which DID remove it from the lock screen. It left a blank space. When I dragged down toward it, it opened the camera app instead.
I noticed in Manage Apps> App Info that there is a selection called Launch by Default/No defaults set, and a button marked Clear Defaults. This section is grayed out in every single app in manage apps; how to enable it? I'd like to disable VZW text messaging, and enable Google Talk in its place.
Secondly - after the ICS update, I now have multiple references to the same apps in Manage Apps>All Apps. There are three separate references for Backup Assistant Plus, and two for Google Maps. Looking at App Info, some are the old versions (pre ICS) and some are the new ones (post ICS). Is there a way to delete the old references and clean things up a tad?
I just got out of a live chat w a Motorola rep, and they had no answers either. Or maybe I should quit digging into the phone and just enjoy it? LOL it's like picking at a scab.
