BlackBerry :: Gmail Contacts Synchronisation Not Work?
Aug 20, 2010I don't know if it is because I have not got Contacts sync set up properly, or even whether these settings can be tweaked, but the synchronisation between the Contacts list on my BB9900 and Gmail Contacts for addresses (i.e. building addresses) completely screws up the field parsing!
For instance: I enter somebody's address on my BB, making use of the separate Address 1; Address 2; City; County/Region; Postcode; and Country fields as appropriate, then when I check back an hour later, the entire address has been moved into the Address 1 field (with the other fields empty), I presume as a result of Gmail Contacts syncing?
Note: I DO NOT use Google Sync; I just have the Contacts synchronisation option checked in Email Setup for my gmail address. I used to use Google Sync but I recently removed it from my previous handset (9700), as it used to duplicate/triplicate/n-tuplicate my Contacts and Calendar entries! Surely this isn't the way syncing is supposed to work? Is there a way of mapping the fields between BB device and Gmail Contact list, so that this doesn't happen?

Oct 20, 2010I have tried to synchronize my Aino for several times with Outlook. It worked last time, now the process is being interrupted. I did several attemps to synchronize, but in the middle of the proceess, the PC Suite all of a sudden switches from PC mode to USB mode. It looks as if the Aino had just been connected, but I haven't touched the Aino, the cable, or the computer.

"Messaging not default sms app. Tap to make Messaging your default SMS.."
(that's what it says; it actually stops mid sentence). I click on it and there's a dialog box:
"Change SMS app?
Use messaging instead of Hangouts as your SMS app?
No Yes"
Now obviously I don't want to do this (why would anyone), but I click on No and the box goes away but it'll come back again later. I can't uninstall messaging, and when I load it to see if it has options to never do anything again ever the first thing it does is pop up the "Change sms app" box again, and when I press No it quits.

Jul 6, 2011I have my atrix plugged into my car dock while driving and listening to music from it through the aux input on my stereo (through the charge lead) but when every I make or answer a call while driving, the sound defaults to the speaker on the phone and nothing can be heard. I have to press the "Speaker" button on the screen and then i can hear the person on the call without issue.

At ~500 e-mails, it is not usable any more. It is veeery slow, it does not manage to download new e-mails, etc.The only solution I have found is to delete the entire e-mail account when it gets too slow. Once I have gone through all the steps of adding my account from scratch, e-mails download without problem. That is, for a few weeks, until I need to delete the account again...Of course, I found a great e-mail app on the Market. But of course, TimeScape only loads e-mails from the default app...... Is the e-mail app default Android, or is it specific to SE?

I have tried rebooting, doesn't help.I sync my calendar with outlook through google. There are some semi-advanced entries there, ie meetings with replies. However, problem persists when I disable that calendar from my outlook.Calendar data is accessible for my agenda widget. Data shown on the widget is even updated when I add data to my google calendar.

I don't think this is related to the upgrade as I was receiving texts for 2 days after upgrading. I normally use Handcent as my sms manager, but I've uninstalled it and gone back to using the pre-installed Messaging software, but that has not resolved the problem. I've also deleted messages so its not a case of Inbox being too full.
