My iPhone default apps like Phone, Messages, Camera, App Store etc.. have disappeared from my phone home screen. I have tried restoring it resetting home screen layout and restrictions but nothing works.

I've had an iPhone 4 for about a year. For the past several months, I've been having a problem with all of my apps disappearing. Some are games but I've paid for and installed others. They download fine and work fine but about once a week, all of the icons just disappear! If I go to the app store, I can install them again and some have the content/information but others don't.

Now that I have your attention... I had 2 pages of apps on my iPhone. I did a reboot holding the power and home button like I always do very so often. Phone came back on and all 3rd party apps are gone off my phone!
One other time before this when I did a reboot it gave me the apple logo with the spinning wheel inside it and wouldn't boot up.I was jailbroken on 4.01 the 1st day but have done multiple dfu restores since than. Shouldn't it be working perfect?
I did a backup and my apps disappeared. I found them in my camera app and need to know how to move them to the phone.

have a problem with main app drawer, if I compose a new goroup folder like tools and take 5 app and than put the tool map to shortcut in desktop widget , than reboot a phone, it stay in the map just 2, 1 or some other app.

Also, if I move an app to the sd card, when it's not connected to a computer, it disappears from my home screen as well.It seems like a recent update to the phone has caused problems with app to sd functionality. Is there any way to fix this other than moving all my apps back to the phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been playing around after installing a beta from bigboss's beta repo that gets rid of recent apps, and only keeps backgrounder apps in the multitasking in bar. All the official apps work in he background (maps, app store, camera,etc.)After freeing memory with sbsettings, (once again beta that "free mem" is not glitched), these apps takes a lot less memory than they did before. Mobile music only uses approx 10-15mb now, a lot less than before. I could run maps, app store, music, and angry birds flawlessly. this was all on a regular 3g. BTW: Bigboss beta repo: thebigboss. org /betarepo/the music controls also work fine in the "double click multitask" menu, as does the rotation lock. the ipones' as zippy as ever

View 1 Replies View RelatedI hate things like facebook and twitter however my desire hd sim free came with several apps installed i.e default ones.I have downloaded god knows how many file managers that let you uninstall apps however not yet found one that will let you uninstall the default ones. My second problem is that i am trying to delete the ringtones on the internal memory and also add my own to the list as it appears that you can only assign individualy ring tones to contacts that are the default tones is this correct? I can locate the files however the phone will not let me delete them add to them or modify them what so ever. Managed to now add ringtones to the default set so i can now use my own for individual contacts, just not managed to delete the default ones. I'm a happy owner of a SE Vivaz. But i do have a problem with some of the apps included with the phone for example: The facebook app (included) just says "Wait" The twitter app (included) never signs me in if i press: "Sign In", but it works if i press "have an account?" it logs me in? WTF? Google maps, Ebuddy and more doesn't work either of pretty much the same reason.I checked with my phone company (Telia DK), and we have full 3G support where i live. However i don't have Wi-Fi here right now.

For instance disabling "Samsung Push Services" seems to bring a little boost to battery performance.
Carrier bloat aside because that's a given to be disabled.
I have Nokia 701 with FP2, Whenever I open the default browser or software update, the background apps or open apps like Nokia store, opera mini are closing on their own. When I closed the software update and started to use the opera mini and Nokia store, the Nokia store app is closing on its own. Other problems with fp2 are, camera takes long time to open. Gallery opens but we cannot tap on images, same thing with thumbnail image in the camera sometimes.

I disabled the stock app, which DID remove it from the lock screen. It left a blank space. When I dragged down toward it, it opened the camera app instead.
I noticed in Manage Apps> App Info that there is a selection called Launch by Default/No defaults set, and a button marked Clear Defaults. This section is grayed out in every single app in manage apps; how to enable it? I'd like to disable VZW text messaging, and enable Google Talk in its place.
Secondly - after the ICS update, I now have multiple references to the same apps in Manage Apps>All Apps. There are three separate references for Backup Assistant Plus, and two for Google Maps. Looking at App Info, some are the old versions (pre ICS) and some are the new ones (post ICS). Is there a way to delete the old references and clean things up a tad?

Does anyone know how to change the default storage to the external Memory card when downloading apps from the market place for th SE x10min pro?So far I've downloaded few apps and they all get downloaded to the phone memory. So it's nearly full but the SD card still has 1.8GB. If there isn't a default option, does anyone know how to get around the issue?

I would like to way to know which of the stock apps can be added to the list. I have noticed that my battery usage for idle phone in the range of 30-35% (which I believe a bit high). May be the default apps I already have added to auto-kill are required by motoblur and hence started automatically, thus causing a loop.I have installed only 3 apps uptill now so i am sure they arn't causing this problem
