LG G3 :: 5x5 Widget Does Not Appear Under Available Widgets To Add
Jan 13, 2015
When using the default LG launcher for my LG G3, I am able to select the standard LG ‘Calendar (Month) 5x5 widget’ to a blank page. However, when I switch to ‘Nova Launcher’ the standard ‘LG Calendar (Month) 5x5 widget’ does not appear under available widgets to add.Is this possible when I am using Nova Launcher?
So I bought the KS660 Dual Sim phone, and it looks to have the same OS as say the LG VU. It has the 4 buttons running down the right side, and a widget menu on the right where you can drag and drop widgets onto the screen.I'm looking to add widgets. Does anyone know where to find them? I definitely want a weather forecast, and I'm hoping I can find a one that I can track certain indexes in finance.
I've had some fun with the phone lately, in that I've re-flashed it a few times. The SW Version was unknown after updating to 51 OTA, then flashed with Global, then back to UK and then updated to 51 OTA again (as can't download 51 UK yet).
Now noticing that the Widgets have a habit of randomly disappearing off my desktop, so I have to re-add them. Not sure what causes it or why,
I'm having some problems with certain widgets not opening. I click the icon in the menu and the widget starts to open but will soon shut down with no error message or anything.
I tried to remove the widgets that are malfunctioning but the icons will not disappear from the menu. I think this all started after installing Evernote Beta widget.
Is it possible to get rid of those icons and try to re-install some of the widgets manually or do I have to hard reset? I really wouldn't want to hard reset.
I just updated my xperia neo to ICS 4.0.4. and based on testing, calendar is the only widget that i was able to resize. i thought we can resize all widgets?
All of a sudden all my widgets are gone. I got back most of them, but not able to get the google search widget. Anyone knows how to get this back? And can someone tell me the various widgets that are pre-installed by Sony Ericsson.
When you opened up the app drawer there used to be a tab on top for "apps" and another for "widgets" and if you scrolled through your apps, the next swipe to the right took you to your widgets. Now there's no tab for widgets and if you scroll to the end of your apps you just loop around to the beginning of them again. So where did my widgets go?
Has anyone looked into creating widgets for the S-Class UI? I've been looking into the widget development environment that LG provides, and it looks straightforward enough. The only issue is that I don't know where to find a list of API's or constants or references of the like.
I found another error in ICS update.Sometimes, when I start my phone, some widgets won't load. May be, it's because of SDCARD storage was used. All of them are stored on SDCARD, but in Android 2.3.4 (GB) there was no error, no problem.
I have been downloading widgets from HTC Hub w/ no problems before until I messed w/ deleting(not uninstalling) my Power Dashboard because the uninstall button can't be pressed. Since then, I can't download any widgets from HTC Hub?
I actually want my widgets to update WHILE I am roaming. Usually people don't want their widgets to update while roaming, because data fees abroad are very expensive. However, the provider I use,'Telfort', uses the 'KPN' network to serve their clients. Because of that, my Nokia thinks I am roaming, but in reality, I am not.
Because of this, my background widgets stop updating their selves after a period of time, and I have to press 'content to online mode' a few times everyday, which is annoying.
how I can get my widgets to keep automatically updating while roaming ?
i updated my software as i was having problems with the widgets sometimes crashing. since i updated it, my facebook, and weather widgets will not work at all. i can't even access them from the applications menu. the last time i had problems like these the phone was sent off for repair and i didnt get it back, i was given a replacement after 30 days of waiting. does anyone have any ideas on how i could fix this myself? i dont want to have to send the phone off again and re-buy all my games etc. i tried re-updating the software again, no joy. will be getting rid of this phone in april.
The AP mobile app says connection error and I can't use it on the homescreen or using the actual app. Also the facebook application has an issue,if I go to anybody's profile it says "No wall posts" clearly there is a problem here. practically makes the phone useless for me and a waste of money.
Is it possible to have a shortcut bar with less than 4 widgets, is there a blank/empty icon possibility ? I searched around but haven't found and solution so far.
I have the Lg g3 16/2 version if that matters, and I cant seem to have the widgets tab on the upper left when on the main apps page, you know when you press the round thing with the dots inside you go to the whole apps pages and you have apps on the upper left. I only get the apps thing, no widgets. I am using nova launcher BTW but it didn't show on the lg UI sking either. Just wondering what's going on with that and how to make it show.
I just got my N6 today! I've been going through trying to get things just the way I like them, but I'm not seeing my favorite widgets. i.e. Weather Channel, Audible, Tasks, Brilliant Quotes and Dictionary.com. What am I missing? I'm coming from a S5. I did however find a widget for play music that I didn't have on S5, so that's cool.
So I downloaded a few widgets and when I go to add them to my home screens they are not in the folder to add. I've downloaded a few different ones to be sure it wasn't just a one off incident and I am unable to add anything.
I have a Verizon S6. After the 5.1.1 update, most of my widgets aren't working. Some will half work ei: Doggcatcher podcast widget, will not change album art but the play pause button works. Google Play music will not load, Verizon Wireless data usage will not load and the Google search bar will not work.
I have cleared cache, restarted the phone, power cycled . Both gave different results. The power cycle really killed the widget.
Since updating to 5.0 (T-mobile G900TUVU1DOB1), the widgets installed do not update. The Samsung clock widget being the main one for me. I have tried several clock widgets since and they are all the same.Is this a 5.0 error, Samsung issue, or other?

I put the Motorola toggle widgets on my home screen (e.g. toggle data, wifi, bluetooth, GPS).
I rebooted and they disappeared. I tried to re-add them. I can't. I can add toggle widgets from the Android Market.
OK... here's the bug... I can't re-add the Motorola widgets, but also, the space where they should be is not available to add another widget either. i.e. I've now got a dead/unusable space on my home screen.
