My cell phone is a prepay LG chocolate (1). And even if I don't have minutes I can access the internet and when I do have minutes it's not charged to my cell phone. I know the Verizon LG ENV(1) has it as well. Access "my account" via mobile internet. It shows your account balance and your feature options, prepay options, ECT. and select "menu" and "search" there is your free internet.
Oh, and I know how to turn ANY contracted, even if severely in debted cell service into a prepay *22888 and follow their directions. If anyone could help me with my service menu on the LG chocolate and teach me neat tricks and tips.
I have reset the phone and the internet will work but then will stop after a time period. I upgraded to 5.1 last week and the issues seemed to have started then.
I'm looking for a cable that will support internet connectivity through my Blackberry. I have the service from Verizon but my only option is a USB to micro USB cable. Honestly I'd LIKE to connect my iPad and so I bought the Griffin Charge and Sync cable but now I need a micro USB to USB converter (or a micro USB to micro USB cable). A lot of the cables and converters I'm seeing only work on specific phones or tablets (like Sony or Samsung) and Blackberry is never mentioned.
i got a blackerry curve for my brthday a few months ago. and every month blackberry take the £5 off my credit for the blackberyy data package i signed up for. And i was told that i should get some free internet with the data plan, but i never get it.. I have a Sensation and have connected to my Sky broadband no problem but when i am out and about and my phone shows internet connections that are available and free it searches for ip address and shows connection but will not log onto any web page saying no connection, do not understand
I've recently installed the latest, free OVI maps for E71 but it still connects to the internet using my t-mobile data connection.I've set the Internet connection to offline, default accesspoint to "search for WLAN" and roaming warning to on. Futhermore synchronisation is set to manual. But it still connects to internet using the t-mobile internet connection and even though it's just a few kilobytes it can cost me money if I'm outside the country. This behaviour is the same as the previous version. I used it in Thailand and downloaded the Thailand map before and set the application to offline. When I wanted to know my position it connected to the internet without even asking.I discovered the connections by accident (looking at the logs) after two weeks and it cost me about 18 euros. Even though no more than 20 Kb per day was sent (and received) by default at least 200 Kb is billed per day if a connection is made. The only way to avoid the connections being made was to set the phone to flight/off-line modus though detection of my position was a lot slower so I suspect the connections are made for a rough position detection using the mobile connection points.Though now I see mainly brief connections out are made they're still connections and I would like to be able to disable it without loosing my main-phone-function (receiving phone calls).
I want to control my computer(it just has to use the mouse and keyboard doesn't have to show me the computer screen on my blackberry) with my 8330, is there any FREE applications that do this either with Wi-Fi or Internet? I don't have Bluetooth on my laptop, also if it has USB support that would be nice too(it might eat the battery less
I Recide In Geographical Location Of Africa In The Ivory Coast.please I Have A Samsung Sgh-d880 And I Am Novice In The Gprs And Internet Connection.please Can Anyone Explain And Elabourate For Me On How I Can Do The Configuration And Get My Mobile Phone Connected To The Internet
Ok so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.
This is for my father-in-law's phone. He has just basic service, so no text or data plan. Bitpim doesn't appear to support it and I cannot find a USB driver for it. The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?
I have Verizon 9550 Storm 2. Before the unlocking the 3G and WiFi both have worked fine ! After the unlocking the Internet on my phone did stop work ! The WiFi connection pass fine but when I start the browser and try to open some site there is appear the message:

I've bought a SIM-free S2 from Amazon but, upon reading up on the 4.0 software update I've learnt about the 'CSC' code. Apparently Sim-free phone should have XED or something similar.

ok so I am moving back to the states, and need to find out how to set up my lg 9100 to work on verizon, do I need to hack it? take it to the store? any help would be great, already have a verizon pre paid fone set up
I need to recover deleted files from the phone's internal memory (not the SD card), using data recovery software. Normally, any drive/card/internal camera flash memory/GSM phone internal memory simply shows up in windows explorer as a flash or hard drive- but i have been unable to read this or other CDMA phopne's internal memory (unless i use BITPIM- which dosen't allow me to run my recovery software).
Should I get an Evo with Sprint or a Incredible with Verizon? Sprint has the 4G network, but I hear Verizon is going LTE? Will the incredible work on LTE? should I wait?
I'm open for some recommendations for a tablet at or around the $200-$300 price point. I like the Sense GUI so I would prefer htc, I've been looking at the Acer Iconia, but if there's a solid competitor, I'm open to those as well.
