View 13 Replies View RelatedI have had an iPhone 4S since November 2011, and in the last two weeks whenever I plug in either the Apple headphones or my Sennheiser headphones the volume in the music app is lower than usual, even though the volume bar is in the same place. My headphones are not broken, I have tried with three different pairs of operating headphones.
The only seemable way to fix this is to open Shazam, then go back to music. This brings the volume back to a normal level, until I either pause or skip the song, which takes it back to its lesser volume level.

My iphone on latest ios has loads of cool artist pics instead of album art under the artists tab. I like it but some artists pics are missing. I know they have a profile pic so why do they not download / update? Most of them have one but tonight I downloaded a few new songs and the artist pics have not downloaded so in the artist tab it just has an album art. Does it only periodically update? I guess it's a server side issue at apple but whether they fix it is questionable as they are often ignorant or refuse to accept issues. From past experience apple seems to play dumb on these issues at times - so when sonething breaks/glitches (iTunes Match a good example) it tends to stay broken for a long time
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got my iPhone 6 before 4 days ago. After playing music I found that my iPhone 4 headphones volume is maybe 20% higher when listening music (testing with the same apple earpods). I checked "Volume limit" and "Sound check", but it was the same. I wonder is this a hardware bug or a software bug? I'm sure about that because a friend of mine has iPhone 5s and I know that is louder than the iPhone 4... There's no way iPhone 6 to has lower output volumeÂ

After about 90 minutes straight of playing spoken-word podcasts and music from my internal iPhone 4S speakers at top volume, the music now crackles when played at top volume. This change happened mid-song, when the unit was just sitting untouched on a counter. At first top volume was not as loud as it was previously, but the unit seems to have regained the functionality. I've reset the unit twice. Any idea what happened and—more importantly—how I can fix it?

Recently, I have been very irritated with my iphone's music playback because the volume is inconsistent. For almost every song, as it starts playing it will start at a normal volume then decrease suddenly to a common level. It sounds like the volume difference created by sound check. Besides this, doing things such as skipping, turning shuffle on/off, turning repeat on/off, and other minor things will change the volume. the most notable is skipping, which reverts the volume back to the loud version (as if sound check was off), while turning shuffle and repeat on/off only changes the volume slightly (barely noticeable unless playing at a loud volume). I have tried to ignore it for all this time. it would be nice if apple had a simple email contact option to ask questions as well, but apparently they either don't or it is impossible to find, and that ****** me off even more.

My iphone volume is extremely low. This goes for calls, alerts, music, etc. I had an iphone 4 before that was much louder, but when i got this new one the volume sounded like a whisper. Both volumes are at their max but i can barely hear anything. I have missed many important calls because the ringer was so quiet i couldn't hear.

I've had this problem for a while and now I'm getting work I don't want to miss my phone because I've put it on dead mode. Before I factory reset my phone, I was able to change my volume using the side buttons to go from different levels of sound, then vibrate only, then dead mode (complete silent and no vibrations). Now I only have different levels of sound and dead mode. I read about changing an option in sounds to vibrate only in silent mode, which will fix this but I can't find that either (my suspicians are that this option was taken out in ICS or moved to a secret location to foil my plans).

I have checked that the volume is turned up full. However, I am still able to hear alarms, ringtones and notification tones. I'm hoping that this is some sort of software issue.

Also trying other headsets didn't help much. When setting the maximum volume, it can be ok for a quiet environment such as home, but it's still useless on the road, in the underground, and in other noisy environments where the ambient noise covers the music. The same files play much louder when using the same headset on my old Nokia 5300.I also tried playing around with the equalizer but it didn't help. Is there any way to work around this? Some hidden settings? Some other music player I can install? Some better headset?

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got my phone today and still playing around with it. One thing that surprise me in a not very pleasant way was how loud the volume is when you are listening to music using the earphone.
Even at the lowest volume it is still too loud for me to comfortably listen to. I tried listening for 15 minutes and stopped, my ears were ringing for a bit after that.
I tried using "Music Volume EQ" as recommended by someone having the same problem but it didnt do anything to me. The EQ seems to have no effect whatsoever.
