Mar 26, 2012I have updated my iPhone 3GS 16GB to run on iOS 5 as prompted by the phone. The following evening my phone was docked in my alarm clock on charge and by the morning all it was displaying was a silvery apple symbol in the centre of a black screen. After playing with it for a bit I saw a grey textured background with "iPhone" written in the middle and a sweep bar saying configure. I swept this bar and it asked me to connect to iTunes, if I dont within 5 mins it reverts to the silvery apple symbol. I have attempted to connect it to iTunes to which the same continues despite iTunes displaying my iPhone as being connected. After 48 hours it was working as usual once more and location services activated. The next week it began all over again, only now when I attempt to connect my iPhone to iTunes I am told it cannot connect becasue of an error code 0xE8000001, it then informs me that an unknown error, code -42408 has occurred. I would hate to have lost all my contacts and photos, I do Sync but I dont think I have backed everything up, I realise now from reading other boards that I should have double backed up etc. But at the time it didn't seem from the advice given on the phone it was such a mamoth thing for the phone to do.

May 21, 2012I just updated latest OS on my iPhone 3GS and now WiFi struggles to work correctly unless I disable Bluetooth. Even when I am near the WiFi access point. Never had issue before. Never had problems with signal strength or locking on to know WiFi access points before. Only just have issue after the last OS update.

The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update.Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?

Nokia :: 5800 - Ovi Failed To Work After Updated To Latest Version
Jan 6, 2010Both PC Suite and Ovi were working perfectly until I updated my Ovi to the latest version early this week. Now, whenever I start Ovi, it will crash after 15-20sec if my 5800 is connected ( either bluetooth or USB ). If the phone is not connected, Ovi will stay without any issue. Btw, PC Suite is working fine. Here is the error message pop-up on the screen when Ovi crashed.

iii) Format and reinstall Windows 7 ( Yes, I did !!! ) , re-download and reinstall Ovi Suite : Failed to fix
I strongly believe this error is caused by the latest version of Ovi Suite, as i have another laptop which running with the older version of Ovi Suite works perfectly with my 5800. I have uninstall the Ovi Suite, I will only try it again when next release is available.

Apr 7, 2012My music app on my iPhone 4 with OS 5 doesn't work. I press it -- screen goes blank, but nothing shows, then it crashes and goes back to the main page. I've restarted phone and did a complete restore (but did include the backup so I could keep my memory and settings for mail, contacts, etc). When I go to "about" the iPhone says I have over 4000 songs; still have 4.6G of available space.
