IPhone :: Syncing Apps With New Mac And NOT Loose Their Data?

I bought a new (to me) Macbook Pro running Lion. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 that I keep backed up to iCloud. With my PC I used to always keep semi-frequent backups to the computer along side the iCloud backups, never can be too careful. Now since most everyting with Lion intergrates and syncs with iCloud I haven't needed to check to sync those in iTunes.
Now to get to my question, for my apps I know I can "transfer purchases" so that my apps show up in my iTunes library, but when I check to sync the apps it completely rearranges them on the little pictures of the screen on computer. Now a long time ago with iOS 4 and my old iPhone 4 when I did this on my new at the time PC it wiped out all the app data and basically reinstalled the apps as brand new apps. I DO NOT want to loose the app data as some of apps like LockBox store critical data that I cannot loose.
Will checking to sync my apps clear the data within the apps? Again I am ONLY concerned about APP DATA ! All other data on the phone has been taken care of and synced with the computer.

My computer crashed and we lost the hard drive. I did back up to carbonite, but essentially it is like having a whole new computer. I need to sync my phone to my restored / rebuilt mac, but the phone will think I am syncing to a brand new computer. How do I prevent loosing the following;
1) Photo's taken on my phone.
2) Contact's on my phone
3) Calenderon my phone
My iTunes library should be OK, and I'm assuming my app's will be too. If not couldn't I just download the purchases again?

I loaded software on my pc – pc was stolen – all info is on my phone but not new pc. New pc has a different name and now phone will not sync and keep current info, I don’t want to lose my data on phone. I have changed my password many times – if I use new password in Itunes store on pc it works but will not work on phone. Apple ID is different on phone.Â

I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

I am trying to figure out if there is a way that I can turn off background data/automatic syncing in all of my apps when I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Besides going in to each app and turning off the syncing.
The reason for this is that I'm going to be going on a cruise and the Wi-Fi on the ship is not exactly cheap, so I'd like not to go through a lot of data every time I connect to it because all of my apps decide that they are going to connect.
I have a Nexus 5 running 6.0.
I've read about the "Metered Wi-Fi network" settings, but it doesn't say exactly what it does - it mainly talks about restricting background data on a mobile network, and setting data limits on a mobile network, even though it's supposed to be about Metered Wi-Fi networks.

i synced my iphone to itunes and when the syncing was done all the appdata had been romoved and all the apps i had sorted in different folders spread out on ten screenpages. i have the appdata backed up on icloud but how do i get the data from icloud to the phone?

How do I permanently & completely change the PC I sync my iPhone 4 to? I already lost all music and data when dinosaur PC died forever. I have a new laptop and want to be able to sync again without losing the only music and data I have -- the stuff still on my iPhone. I sync contacts through Exchange and email, calendars and notes to Gmail.

My apps on my Macbook don't seem to be syncing to my iPhone. When I go to iTunes under Apps, it says to select the Apps that you want to be put on to your iPhone on the left side of the page. On my page, this section is all grayed out.

So my question is pretty straight forward, I have tried searching the internet for a week now and haven't found anyone in the same perdicament that I find myself in at this moment. I have aquired a Powerbook G4 that I am wanting to use to sync my iPhone to. Moving from a Windows desktop I find this solution to be better for myself if I can figure out how to do this with minimum fuss.
I have moved iTunes libraries around on Windows computers before, but those computers have had ample Hard Drive space to store my entire iTunes library and it all worked like a champ. The problem that I face now is that my laptop doesn't have enough hard drive space to store the entire iTunes library locally. The items that I do sync to my phone are able to be stored locally, apps, music, podcasts... videos and tv shows which I only use with AppleTv will need to continue to reside on my desktop.
So now for the question.. I have used home sharing to transfer all of my apps, ringtones, podcasts, audiobooks, books, and music to my laptop but everytime I try to set my phone up to sync with the laptop make it truely mobile I am confronted with the dreaded "All data will be erased" message. I do not want this I have years of data in some apps, dvd collections, auto maintenance on my family's automobiles, financial transactions etc. etc. Is there anyway to accomplish what I am wanting to accomplish without losing this data? Ideally I would like to keep my app folders as well as my settings and logins for all of my apps, but I could probably manage if I lost them. I have no other option than to stay tethered to my desktop for my IPhone management which is highly inconvenient.
My Mac is running 10.5.8, iTunes 10.6.1, iPhone 4s running iOS 5.1. I do have icloud setup and backing up to icloud as well as locally if that makes a difference.

So after what felt like eons, I finally went from an 8gb 2G iPhone to a 32GB 3Gs. Since I live most of the year outside the US, I bought it used via craigslist ($500 if you're curious, 3 months old).
My nephew 'tested' it for me for a week or two before my parents brought it to me here in India. When I plugged it into my Mac for the first time it asked me if I wanted to restore. I did so and all settings and address book have come across. But the music and apps are not syncing. I guess it's still associated with a previous owners' iTunes (probably my nephew's). How do I overcome this?

Last week i had a major malfunction on my PC.now when i try and sync my i-phone all my apps are still on my i-phone but they are all gone from my pc.the i-phone will not sync to the pc and restore the apps.i tried to d/l an app that is on the phone, the pc said i had already paid for it but had no downloaded yet.i downloaded it months ago.where did my pc apps go? do i have to d/l all the apps again? any ideas would be appreciated!

I synced the first new phone, then the second. They are named differently and have different numbers. Any time a change is made to the contacts or apps of one, the same change happens to the other. Any ideas howto change thais?

I've had my new iphone for a couple of weeks and it's not syncing apps with my itunes on my macbook pro.
I get an error message saying that they couldn't be synced as I am not authorised on this compter. I've clicked on authorise this computer that hasn't worked and I have also tried deauthorising and authorising again.

I've just bought a new iPhone, and I want to sync everything that was on my iPhone 5 phone onto my iPhone 5S. The trouble is, on my "old" phone (the one I am using now), the apps I have on it aren't able to be downloaded in my country anymore, and my apps aren't synced to my computer because I didn't want to risk losing them when I synced it to my recently purchased MacBook. They are critical apps to my phone... I can't go without having them on my phone. My phone is backed up to my computer, so will doing a backup on the new phone give me the apps from the old phone?

My Iphone 4 has been synchronizing for 4 hours and seems to be stuck on step 6 of 6 (Downloading Safari safe browsing data). It was taking a very long time before, and I had to stop the syncronization before it was finished. Now all of my music is greyed out. Is this normal?

I have a 3gs with OS4 on it, which i recently JB with the website method. I have downloaded apps onto my phone via installous and when i go to itunes and sync, it deletes all those apps. I have tried and stopping the sync, and then choosing: "Transfer purchases from" and it works with some of my jailbroken apps, but not all. The ones that dont transfer over to itunes dont stay on the phone.Also i noticed that all my folders on the phone disappear and i have to keep organizing all my applications (major pain).

I had to update my itunes, then I synced my iphone 4s to it to download some music and now my apps won't open on my phone. They flicker when pressed and nothing happens. I've tried powering the phone off and on and resetting it. I've also manually shut the apps down.
