My company forces me to use a BB to access the server. I hate the BB and do not want to carry two devices. Is there a workaround for me to be able to access contacts, calendar, emails in outlook without my IT dept's help?
I have a user who has been using an iPhone 4 for over a year now, and has built up a large list of Contacts on the device. Unfortunately, unlike every other iPhone user, his Contacts have not been sync'ing with Outlook. I know I can go into "Settings", "Mail, Contacts, Calendar", Contacts and "Default Account" and change it here. However, I do not want to lose any of these iPhone Contacts. I would like to be able to back them up, and then sync them into Outlook.
I'm thinking of switching from an iPhone to a BB torch. We use outlook exchange at work and I wanted to know if I can sync the torch with outlook exchange. We don't have BES so I just need help before I make the switch.
after configuring the work e.mail and added as exchange e.mail, it keeps showing " failed to connect to server" other times it says can't verify the account information?
I have accumulated over 1400 contacts in Outlook over the last 10 years. So, when I purchased my Droid 2 last year, there was no problem importing them into the phone with the exchange server. But, when the number increased above 1500, I noticed that the phone only accommodates 1487. note that I don't import contacts from other sources like Google or a social networking site.
We recently had an exchange upgrade at our office and since then my Defy won't sync with my Outlook account. We've gone from Outlook Exchange 2003 to 2007. I've been reading online about the problems others are having with similar problem. It's making life difficult as I'm unable to access my work emails when I'm out of the office.
remember the old days when you could get a dumbphone (non Blackberry, Android, IPhone) and a USB or serial phone data cable and some software that would sync your dumbphones calendar to your Outlook or Exchange calendar application through the cable or bluetooth?Everything now that does that seems to be only smartphones and then you need a data plan and internet access.
I just have a standard USC phone, but I'd like to populate my phone's calendar with Outlook appointments and meetings. It seems the carriers intentionally cripple the phones just enough to make data transfer through the manufacturers USB cable not work with any applications out there.
I could do in 1998 with a candy bar Kyocera phone and the Verizon "Mobile Office Kit" on Windows 98, but can't do now.bitpim does not do this, Datapilot does not show this phone as supported, and the people at US Cellular can't understand why anyone would want to do this without a smartphone.

Cannot setup Exchange 2010 Active Sync account. I keep getting the following error:"You entered an incorrect server address or the server requires a protocol version that Email does not support"'m an Exchange admin & have other devices in the enviroment. My account works on other devices. I've tried other test accounts on the Xoom & cannot get it to sync with Exchange. I've created a new policy as per the instructions found here - https://motorola-global-ortal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/65228/~/motorola-xoom-%E2%80%93-%22this-server-requires-security-features-that-your-android still the problem persist.
My company just recently singed a contract with AT&T. Nearly all the employees were provided with Blackberry Curve 9360's. We use an Exchange Server (remote desktop)and Microsoft Outlook. Is there a way to sync the Curve 9360 with an Exchange Server (remote desktop) and Microsoft Outlook?
Our CEO has an Iphone 4s running IOS5. Whenever he sends an email from his exchange account it does not show up in sent items on the phone or in his exchange box. Instead it shows on the phone on a POP account. Now the POP account was the first account he configured on the phone. However, I have not found a setting for any type of defualt mail account that I can disable.
I have and iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.1... In my Exchange profile, I have 2 additional mailboxes. One of which is shared with my department. How do I get these mailboxes to show up on my iPhone and work? I tried to add additional mailbox, but this appears to add a folder not an inbox and it doesn't pull in the messages.
Can someone explain to me the advantages of setting up Gmail as an Exchange account on the iPhone 4?I've been searching all over and all I've found is that this setup will allow push emails. Are there any other advantages/disadvantages?I currently have Gmail setup through the default iPhone Gmail setup and my work email as Exchange.
I just jailbroke my iPhone 3G using Blackra1n. Is there a step-by-step someone can point me to for enabling the ability to add multiple exchange accounts?
I have random emails that show up in my inbox and then get sent to my deleted folder automatically. Does anyone know what is casusing this and what the solution to fix it. Recently I have deleted the exchange account and reinstalled to see if that would help. This started happening after the latest upgrade. I'm using a iphone 4S
I am having problems with outlook email.I have a prodigy.net account (outlook express) and an outlook email account. The prodigy account is fully synchronized with my PC, but the outlook account is not.An email sent to my outlook account is posted to both the PC and to the Torch Smartphone. The problem is on the reply, an email sent from the Smartphone is shown only on the Smartphone and a reply sent from the PC is seen on only on the PC and is not visible on the Smartphone.
I use a Mac laptop at home (older one with Tiger OS) , and PC at work. I do not want to share home info with the work PC but would like to be able to sync my work outlook calendar to my iphone 6.I also do not want my work email on my iphone. Of course the IT guys at work don't like Macs and say this can't be done.Â
Is it possible to have Birthdays entered into iOS contacts (which do show up in the iOS calendar) sync to Exchange/Outlook 2010 via activesync? (not using iTunes)
I have my Gmail account set up on my iPhone as Exchange, to get push email. The issue I am having:In my Gmail account settings, I have it set to send mail using only my initials, so that when I send a message to someone they will only see (A J) for example. When sending emails from my browser in gmail, this works fine. If I go to my iPhone, and send a response to an email thread, it will send from my full name. Any emails that I send from my iPhone automatically show my full name. Is there some type of account setting for this? I don't want it to use my full name when I send email from the phone. I have looked everywhere and don't see any setting for this. I have also called Apple support and they have no idea.
Hey, I am having issues connecting my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1) to my Exchange 2010 server. When I create the account in my iPhone it verifys and leads me to believe the account is functional. When i go to send/receive mail, I receive a "Connection to the server failed" error. I have port 443 open on my firewall and can send/receive from OWA.I have rebuilt the account numerous times with both SSL turned on and off (both server and phone side).I have no special policies configured on the server either.
My Exchange is currently set up to sync with my work email, with a secondary Exchange for my gmail emails. I have a new job now and no longer have access to the original main Exchange account, so need to delete this. However given that I have been using this Calendar for personal appointments / events I don't want to lose all this info. How do I either backup my current Exchange calendar to iCloud, or to some other format that I can then re-import under a new Exchange account?
