IPhone :: 4 Won't Sync Contact With Outlook/Exchange 2007
Mar 16, 2012
I have a user who has been using an iPhone 4 for over a year now, and has built up a large list of Contacts on the device. Unfortunately, unlike every other iPhone user, his Contacts have not been sync'ing with Outlook. I know I can go into "Settings", "Mail, Contacts, Calendar", Contacts and "Default Account" and change it here. However, I do not want to lose any of these iPhone Contacts. I would like to be able to back them up, and then sync them into Outlook.
We recently had an exchange upgrade at our office and since then my Defy won't sync with my Outlook account. We've gone from Outlook Exchange 2003 to 2007. I've been reading online about the problems others are having with similar problem. It's making life difficult as I'm unable to access my work emails when I'm out of the office.
Is there an easy way to sync Outlook contacts and calendar without Exchange? This is the only problem I have encountered with my new Bionic. The calendar synced, but I have lost my categories, etc. The contacts synched, but I seem to have three of everything (???). Is there a way to delete all the contacts on the phone and start over? I find it hard to believe someone has not come up with an App to make a direct USB sync with the PC, given the Extensive use of Outlook...
My iphone 4S will not sync with Outlook 2007. have never had this problem before until I upgraded to itunes 10.6 and ios 5.2 (newest one) and now won't sync- and not only will it not sync- the iphone dropped all my contacts and calendar from outlook so now I have nothing on my phone- fortunately I still have everything on Outlook on my computer- but not helping me as i need on my phone
I have just upgraded from a Curve 8310 to a Curve 9300. The former was set up to sync with Outlook 2007 with no problems using an older version of the Desktop software. I have now installed the Version 6 software. The 9300 has "Outlook" as an option but refuses to accept the settings and will not Sync. Strangely, I can set it to Sync with Yahoo but Yahoo no longer seems to support Blackberry and my Calendar won't now appear at all in Yahoo after attempting to Sync.
I tried to synchronize my BB Torch with Microsoft Outlook but I kept getting error message: Option Value is unacceptable. Please Check option properties.
Have recently set up BBDM to synch Outlook with my BB. Everything works fine except calendar which of course is the one bit I really want. All the settings seem fine and I get no error message.
I am having issues syncing to Outlook. I am running the 5.0.0.713 version (Bundle 1206 Platform 4.2.0.323). I dont' know if it has any bearing but Verizon is my carrier.
The basic problem is that when I want to sync my information from Outlook to my device the sync wants to put back into Outlook all the information I have removed from Outlook. The option to have Outlook win in any conflict does not seem to have any effect in filtering out these entries. This also occurs with Calendar, Memo, and Tasks.
On my Palm I had the option to OVERWRITE the device with the information from Outlook. Is there such a feature? It seems a waste of my time to delete all the information each time I want to sync the device.
On my BB sync software 6.0, under organizer it says "calender not installed" I am trying to sync my BB Torch with Outlook 2007 calender ? Gone into Advance settings & checked calender both ways but coming out it still says not installed?
I just got a new computer (Windows 7), and installed Outlook 2007. I installed the Blackberry Desktop software. I want to sync my BB 9700 with Outlook calendar and contacts. However, when I try to set up the sync in the Desktop Manager, the only sync options I get are <none>, ASCII Importer/Exporter, and Yahoo. I do not get an option to sync with Outlook. I had no problem before. I have the newest version of the BB desktop software.
My carrier will soon be transferring ownership to AT&T. When that happens, we are required to get a new phone, I want to upgrade to Torch. My questions is: Will the Torch accurately sync to Outlook 2007 on Windows 7. My previous phone was a Motorola Q9c and synced fine to Vista but will not synch to Windows 7. That phone dies and I am using now a HTC Hero that every time is snycs to my contacts on Outlook it puts all my contacts in by Contacts first name.
It does not allow me to show by Company name, and anyplace there is only a Company name with no person contact, the HTC only shows a phone # in the contacts list. I have over 600 contacts in my list, and I have most "filed as" company name then contact person's name, which it the way I need it to work. So I need to make sure that when syncing to the Torch, it will sync to Outlook exactly the way I have my Contacts set up.
I have just switched from a Windows Mobile phone to a BB 9000. I live in Cyprus and have subscribed to the local BIS service offered here. So I sync with my PC via USB cable. Everything seems to be working fine, apart from the calendar. It appears to sync, asks me to accept changes, which I do, but the new entries do not appear in my Outlook calendar. Am I missing something simple?
I used to have a nice sync to my outlook calendar with old OS 5. Not sure if problem related to 6.0 or not but now can't sync my calendar at all. Getting Intellisync Error Code 0x83860028.I redone the settings several times, won't sync either way BB to PC and PC to BB?
How I can synch my contacts of my BB to my address book of Outlook 2007?Also I see that in my contacts of my BB I see a contacts that is more than 20 times, this have a relation with the synch?I want to do a wipe, but before I need to backup all my contacts (888 contacts) before it.
I am unable to sync Outlook 2007 with my Torch 9800. When I set it up to sync with Outlook it looks OK and says to go ahead and use it but then comes up as not installed.
I was given an HTC Desire by the company. I plugged it into the PC and hey presto the phone was full of CR4P!I now have a list of contacts about 500 long, 400 of whom I have no idea who they are!People who have sent me emails offers or bought things off.Anyone know of a way I can go through this list (on the PC?) and say Yes I want, No I don't want. OR create a list only of people I want on the sync list.I thought smartphones were to make life easier. I have to trawl through God knows how many useless unknown contacts before I can find mates.I know I can have faves, but I don't want to carry 400 dead names, it ruins the line of my clothes carrying all that extra weight.
The E90 (Firmware upgraded today) does not sync completely with Outlook 2007. I'm missing new agenda-entries and ALL notes.(Notes-sync as well as agn-sync are set to manual and of course I have triggered both syncs several times after updating software)
And I'm also missing a possibility to access the notes on the mobile device - the old E90-Software permitted that, but I'm not seeing how to do that with Ovi?
I just recently changed my phone from Bold 9000 to Bold 9700. Using Desktop Manager 5.0.1.37 and on Vista sp2 and Outlook 2007. I used to be able to sync perfectly ok with my Bold 9000, and since I changed my phone to Bold 9700, it wont sync my calendar - as if it skips the calendar completely. I've tried a number of suggestions from this forum including deleting the intellisync folder and resetting the sync setup, hard resetting the phone, and nothing works. I'm running out of ideas.
I have recently purchased a new laptop that uses the Windows 7 operating system. I downloaded Desktop Manager for this new PC and when I try to configure the synchronization with my Blackberry to Outlook 2007 I keep getting a runtime error.
I spoke with technical support at Verizon and they told me that I was not able to sync my Blackberry to Outlook because it is not yet compatible with Windows 7.
Can anyone verify if that is true and know if Blackberry will soon be able to use all sync options - email, contacts, etc. - with Windows 7? I know have to continue to sync with another PC.
I have a Storm2 (9550) that I'm trying to sync with Outlook 2007 on a computer running Windows 7 Pro 32bit. DTM doesn't see Outlook under "Select a desktop application". DTM version is 5.0.1.28. Ran install as Administrator and selected "for all users". I had it working on my old computer - Outlook 2003 on an XP computer.
My company forces me to use a BB to access the server. I hate the BB and do not want to carry two devices. Is there a workaround for me to be able to access contacts, calendar, emails in outlook without my IT dept's help?
Is it possible to have Birthdays entered into iOS contacts (which do show up in the iOS calendar) sync to Exchange/Outlook 2010 via activesync? (not using iTunes)
