IPhone :: Switch From 4 To An Android Now I Can't Receive SMS

I just switched from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S3 and now no one who has an iPhone can send me an SMS because their phones are trying to send the message through iMessage. I have tried every solution on the web and none have worked. My iPhone isn't registered in my list of products on apple.com any more and I can't go around and tell 50 people to disable iMessage and use regular SMS because I'm no longer using my iPhone.

If Apple is successful with their endeavors to detect jailbroken phones and shut them down, would you consider switching to an Android handset for your next smartphone?

I never had any problem to force GPRS/EDGE mode. But with Android 6, this is not possible anymore.

After update to 5.0.2 the answer machine on my z2 will not switch off if I answer a call. This is frustrating as now when I am 20 seconds into a call the answer machine cuts in, unlike before. Is this just the new way this works with this version, or is it a phone issue?

3gs does not respond to on-off switch, ring/silent switch or volume buttons. It will not turn off.
I let the phone deplete its battery which didn't take very long but the problem persists.

I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

So of course there's switch mode from work and "play". I have this issue where when I switch from one the theme changes and if I switch back the theme doesn't change. I thought this would be fix, but I guess I was the only one with this issue. Just updated to .54. I'm of course not going to do anything about it I'll just work with it. Seeing that nothing else is wrong with my phone but that. Which is GOOD. Anyway wanted to see if and one else has this issue. My iPhone 4S has been working on and off for as long as I've had it. There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts.When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens.When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.

So I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.

I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

I have been using my sım free iphone 4 for 10 months. I upgraded it to IOS 5.1.1 on 10.05.2012. After installation I used it 1 day.At that time the screen locked 3 times and at last time I pushed to sleep/wake button to change locked screen to normal screen..At first pushing secreen changed to black but after that I couldn't not switch it on the phone again. A few times I already tried to push and hold the sleep/wake and home buttons at the same time nearly 1 minute but nothing has changed.

I love my iphone 3GS but I had to switch carriers, I paid $129.99 a month for unlimited min,data,text,picture,gps on my iphone and I cant believe Sprint have that and includes sprint tv also just for $69.99 a month.
I wish I could have a cdma iphone for sprint.
I hope Sprint and Apple work something out, because verizon sucks.
At least I have my ipad.
