I updated my iPhone 2 days ago and am now noticing a significant battery drain. Where I could go all day and use my phone without battery concerns now my phone is almost completely drained and I'm not using it. Is this a glitch in the new ios?

Seen massive battery drain with xposed framework or gravity box latest update? I always make a backup before updating so now i'm back at version 2.5.1 Xposed and 3.1.2 on gravity box. Not having battery problem now.
If i update to 2.6.1 xposed and to 3.1.4 GravityBox I have massive battery drain.
Maybe I'm updating in the wrong way. This is how I do:
1.Download and install latest xposed apk.
2.Framework--> Install/Update
3.Reboot.
I have battery drain with the update to ios 5.1.1. I just take the cell of the lock screen and do nothing, and in seconds (300 seconds) i see going from 24% to 9%.

Is anyone else experiencing the life being sucked out of their battery after the recent version 5.1.1 iphone software update? Last update to 5.0 did the same thing, but there was a patch released a few weeks afterwards. Any info on when a patch for this most recent version update will be released? Thanks!!

In recent memory I've noticed that I'm losing a significant chunk of battery even with the screen off.Looking at this screenshot from GSAM battery monitor, I've barely been using my phone while it sits on my desk but the battery has dropped 25% with the wifi looking like it's been active the entire time. How should I go about figuring out which offending app is causing this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter I update to V22 it seems that the battery it drain much quickly and another problem is that sometimes if i close the phone and then start again sometimes it's starts,appear nokia logo and then it close ,I push again the power button and then it starts (sometimes I must try 2-3 times until it starts).
I got to say that before it doesn't happened and before update to V22 I hard reset my phone including my mass memory and memory card sow the phone was like new.
I have a problem with my Xperia Ray after the ICS update, now the phone drains a huge amount of battery when its just in standby mode. create a downgrade tool that lets you downgrade to GB again.

was fully charged when i went to bed, 8 hrs later without use its a 1/4 down. now through the day at work using it everynow n again for text message im down to 1/4 left.
The battery of my xperia mini pro got depleted during an update attempt, and since then it won't turn on, charge, nor be recognized by my computer through the USB cable connection. Hence the PC companion won't recognize it as well. It doesn't vibrate or turn any lights on, just gets a little bit hotter when connected for a long period of time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having intermittent problems with fast battery drain before and after upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS. In fact the reason why I upgraded to ICS is to see if it would fix it. Most of the articles I have read on the net are about people who have problems after the upgrade, which is why I am left puzzled. Often I leave my phone unplugged during the night and it has almost completely drained by the morning. here is some more information:
- In the battery stats my Android OS percentage is always high (60% +)
- I am always careful with trying to preserve battery life, for example setting the backlight to minimum brightness and closing applications which are running in the background
- I have gone for months where the battery has been fine, but cant seem to spot a trend
How come my battery only last half the time after lastest update? I updated my phone on 03-01-2011. I used to charge every other night. I need to charge every night after the update.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was installing the latest software update on my new Satio tonight and didn't realise I had insufficient battery charge until midway through the update. The phone crashed before finishing the update and now doesn't seem to take a charge, I have taken out the battery, SIM card and memory card and put them all back in, and had the phone connected to the charger for over an hour, but I have no indication from the phone that it is charging and it won't boot up. I tried running the update again but it failed again as well.

I was not sure which program did it but checked Battery in Settings and saw it was the screen causing the drain. Apparently when the Google program updated, it changed the setting for automatic brightness adjustment to ON. I turned it off and the battery is fine. I keep brightness set to about one quarter to one third brightness. I think the battery life is great and I can easily get thru the day.

View 24 Replies View RelatedPrevious smart phones I owned turned wifi off when the screen went dead. So essentially wifi didn't really drain any battery and wifi was easier on the battery then 3g when actively pulling down data.
So now I am on a 2gb plan (previously on unlimited) and sensitive to this I keep my wifi on all the times to use my home connection when possible.My battery however is barely getting through a full day. My wife was getting solid days but she had wifi off.Do you think that this is effecting it? I use my phone quite a bit throughout the day.
I bought a 3GS running 3.1.3 from a friend of mine. Brought it home, used jailbreakme.com to jailbreak it and Cydia. Worked fine, put my Tmobile SIM in, made calls, downloaded apps, ect. Plugged it in overnight, got up this morning and took it off the charger at 100%. Leave it sitting and 5hrs later the battery is down to 30%! Wifi, 3g, push, ect ect are all off. Someone please help, I was so excited to get this working and now the battery doesn't even last half a day with no use!

I rely on my phone for business and it can't even make it through a work day! It is draining about 4 times faster than normal. I found a post referencing to 'Reset All Settings' which I tried yesterday, but it still is draining fast. I tried resetting, rebooting, shutting down all apps, but nothing helps.

I am finding that sometimes they add up to within 1% of the total shown.... and sometimes they are WAY off with as much as 30% of the displayed battery drain unaccounted for. Since I don''t have access to the battery terminals, I can't determine independently whether the percentages shown are simply inaccurate, or whether there are missing processes (ie., processes not shown at all in the battery monitor).

I woke up and, still plugged in, was at 97%...?Is this normal by any means? I think there is a great software problem.and Apple had to fix it definitevily. View 3 Replies View RelatedA week ago I realised that my phone was heating up rapidly and my battery was being drained alarmingly fast before days end. I used to go a whole day and would only hit 50% battery use. After some research, reading and testing of my own, I can say with some certainty that after turning off the push notification and location services on my phone battery life has dramatically improved returning to pre update performance and the overheating has ceased.

I have recently bought a new iphone 4s- 16gb. Updated it to 5.1.1 version.
The iphone has major battery issues. I charged one night and morning it was drained. It was only on wifi.
Also, while on wifi - the battery drain is too much. The standby time and the usage time are generally same.
- Location was off
-Bluetooth off
- wifi on
- Emails on
The drain is very fast. Next - the apps like facebook, contacts, watsapp etc carshes quite frequently.
I installed an app called 'Battery Doctor', in the stats i found that the CPU usage is very high even wiht only 1 app running. similar is the case for RAM usage.
