Hence the PC companion won't recognize it as well. It doesn't vibrate or turn any lights on, just gets a little bit hotter when connected for a long period of time.

was fully charged when i went to bed, 8 hrs later without use its a 1/4 down. now through the day at work using it everynow n again for text message im down to 1/4 left.
My battery has been horrible since the update. Today has been the worst... The phone app has drained 32% of my battery. I haven't made a call all day.I already wiped the cache partition, which did nothing. It seems factory resets aren't solving the issues either.

I updated my iPhone 2 days ago and am now noticing a significant battery drain. Where I could go all day and use my phone without battery concerns now my phone is almost completely drained and I'm not using it. Is this a glitch in the new ios?

I have been having intermittent problems with fast battery drain before and after upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS. In fact the reason why I upgraded to ICS is to see if it would fix it. Most of the articles I have read on the net are about people who have problems after the upgrade, which is why I am left puzzled. Often I leave my phone unplugged during the night and it has almost completely drained by the morning. here is some more information:
- In the battery stats my Android OS percentage is always high (60% +)
- I am always careful with trying to preserve battery life, for example setting the backlight to minimum brightness and closing applications which are running in the background
- I have gone for months where the battery has been fine, but cant seem to spot a trend
So when I opened up my battery usage I noticed that Android OS was at 70% usage (69% now in screenshots). I check my battery usage several times throughout the day and Android OS was not consuming 70%. It seemed to spike to 70% consumption, which points to an error in battery usage charts.
The steeper drops at the beginning and toward the end can be attributed to the poor reception areas I was in and my heavier screen on time during those periods. The flat portion in the middle is when I went to bed and left my phone for about 8 hours. Notice there are no huge wake locks during my time off battery.
This is my current screen on time....
I'm guessing this is an error with the battery usage calculator but I'm not completely sure. How to know if this is an error with the battery usage or is Android OS really consuming 70% and how I should fix it?

I'm having a serious battery drain problem with my Neo. It seems to drain very quickly within 8 hours sometimes less, and when it gets to about 30% it will suddenly say "no sim card", the battery icon flashes red and then all power goes completely and have to recharge. When the 'phone is switched on and idle, it gets VERY warm, never mind about being used.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently bought Xperia z2 but right now i'm having severe battery drain issue. At the first day it showed me average time of one & half day but right now its draining much faster & i'm only getting battery life of 13-14 hrs, only using wifi & music app. stamina mode is active but still no progress. How to reduce battery drain? i've seen some post in this blog where people said they are getting battery life of around 4 days.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSeen massive battery drain with xposed framework or gravity box latest update? I always make a backup before updating so now i'm back at version 2.5.1 Xposed and 3.1.2 on gravity box. Not having battery problem now.
If i update to 2.6.1 xposed and to 3.1.4 GravityBox I have massive battery drain.
Maybe I'm updating in the wrong way. This is how I do:
1.Download and install latest xposed apk.
2.Framework--> Install/Update
3.Reboot.
I've updated my Neo to ICS 4.04 recently and since then apart from LED notiffications not working the stock Email app (not gmail) sync is not working. It was working earlier in GB. I configured my gmail using the email app and set the refresh interval to 1 hour but it never syncs or refreshes. It worked perfectly in GB. SONY fix this issue as I'm missing some important mails.
2. The media server is draining a lot of battery without me listening to any music. I really don't know why that's happening. I did repair my phone after ICS update but still this issue. I don't listen to songs on my phone as I have a music player but media server consumption is around 10 % and that pretty high.
Is it normal to drain 18% in 1 and a half hour with constantly use (radio, messenger, and 1-2 more apps) lowest brightness .. Im always thinking its draining too fast.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had been using my Z2 for 1 and a half year. everything goes very fine until dew days ago. It suddenly goes into blackscreen while pressing power button/ power + vol. up does not work. I need to dock/charge it for like few secs to make it "alive". I tried reset phone to factory settings, and it still the same.
Tried repair through Sony PC Companion, but it takes FOREVER to download and i just give up this (I have totally no issue at all with my connection. I was browsing youtube, playing games, scrolling facebook etc. without any internet latency problems so definitely will not be my network problem). Then today, it restarted again, so i tried docking it (it was abt 90% remaining). once i dock it, it displays with very low battery (its like less than 10%).....
I received my phone week ago i notice that every thing works fine but battery drain so fast. Even with the stamina mode on and brightness is very low and i also set the auto brightness. I also updated my phone to new version but it still same I also clear the stamina mode app settings and when i checked that which app using more battery there no app there. I install same apps which is install in my z3 but z3 give atleast 1 day or like 20hrs battery the why i use it normally the way I use it .

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have purchased xperia z2 last october in India. The phone was all fine until last few weeks. From past two weeks the phone heats up for no reason. Even using whatsapp for half an hour is heating the phone to such an extent that i cant touch it. I cant use the phone for anything now. Keeping it on for more than 20 mins is heating the phone without doing anything. Is this any problem from the recent app updates? Or is somthing wrong with my phone? And maximum battery drain is always from screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOver the last 24 hours i've notice my Xperia Z2's battery is draining very quickly, even when asleep. Even when it is plugged in charging, i keep getting messages saying the phone is unable to charge as it is using too much power. And previously i could charge the phone overnight fully, now it doesn't get close to 40%
In addition to this I've noticed it is kicking out a lot of heat at the top of the phone, and also i can no longer connect to the internet via wifi.
Everything else seems ok, and i have managed to back up my data to an sd card. I haven't added any new apps recently.
I've had the phone for less than a year and as far as i know it hasn't had any heavy drops or anything.
I'm with a 5.0.2 D6603. The issue I have is that the following Kernel wakelocks does not allow the phone to deep sleep.
msm_serial_hs_dma
BTLowPower
I've just performed a sw repair via pc companion, and several factory reset. I'm running the Z3 with no apps.
It happens both with an LG G Watch R (5.0.2) and a regular BT Plantronics (voice only) headset. Using the same BT devices with a Nexus 4, Nexus 10 and an LG G2 does not have the same effect. As soon as there is no usage the phone goes to sleep immediately.
If we take the second device, I do expect a Kernel wakelock while speaking or streaming music. The phone is active any way while performing this task. What is strange is that even if there is no activity the wakelocks avoid deep sleep.
What is strange is that if I move away from the headset (and the BT icon goes the "non connected" status), the wakelocks are always there. The effect is that my phone (both on 4.4.4 and 5.0.2) almost never ever sleeps, and sometimes get warm. It is evident that the battery life affected a lot. If I switch BT off, everything goes back to normal.
I did a further test, in the below sequence:
- BT ON + connected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT OFF + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => no wakelock + device sleep
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
