Nov 19, 2012So got the Tmobile 810. Have been using unlocked Nokia phones (Symbian) till now and use JoikuSpot to share internet on as needed basis. Not very often, but good to know it is there when needed.
Now when select Internet Sharing to ON, asks if want to activate that feature in my plan. Is there anyway to bypass this or to get another app to do this .. like JoikuSpot ?

You could turn it on from your computer, or if you have a iPod turn your phone, laptop and desktop on with it. Or what if you lost it, and someone picks it up and turns it off (iPod or iPhone) and the only way iCloud could find it is if its connected to the internet but it's not on.Maybe i have a bad idea, but i thought about it after losing my iPhone but not my iPod. i Would rather lose an iPod

Jun 21, 2012I recently updated my GS2 i9100 from GB to ICS (4.03) as provided by my carrier (Bell). I am able to pair the phone and media audio with my car stereo (Hyundai Sonata) however I get the message "Unfortunately bluetooth share has stopped" every time it tries to download my contacts to the car. This appears after a minute or so. This was not an issue with GB as it downloaded seamlessly and I was able to use the built in voice calling feature of my car with no problems.The first time the download was tried, the phone rebooted. Since then I have removed the pairing from the phone and car and started over, as well as removed all synced accounts from my contacts except those actually on the phone. Still no luck.

Apr 21, 2012The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?

May 15, 2010I just bought an LG Flare from Virgin Mobile, and I have the $25 month plan with unlimited text + web. My goal is to have custom ringtones in the phone.Here's what I've done so far:I went to www.ventones.com and created a free ringtone, and had them send it as a text to my phone, but that text never came.Ventones also gave me a weblink I could point my phone to. So I did that, but upon getting there my phone says "HTTP Error 406: Not Accepted".Now this got me thinking that maybe MP3 files were not supported. But it says on the box that you can have "real music ringtones" (although any format specification is carefully avoided), so maybe I can have music files, just not as plain downloads (must go straight to system ringtone folder).Then I downloaded BitPim. I don't have USB data cable for this yet, but I'm thinking of getting a $3 one from eBay. Meanwhile, I tried connecting it via bluetooth. Now, reports say that the LG Flare was manufactured with built in support for a number of Bluetooth Profiles, including SPP. However, my LG Flare has only HSP and HFP (with only HFP being recognized in Windows, and both HSP and HFP being recognized under Ubuntu).
So naturally I'm thinking that Virgin Mobile has somehow locked down the Bluetooth. While my primary goal is to get custom ringtones, this restriction intrigues me, and I'll be glad if anyone could help me either way. Because the bluetooth is locked down, it is also possible that the data cable won't help any. What I'm looking for are some unlocking mechanisms which can free this restriction. The phone has 8mb of memory! And I want to use it.

Aug 30, 2012Since the Ice Cream Sandwich Update, my Jawbone Icon Headset cuts off while my Mobile HotSpot is on. The Jawbone headset will go on and off until I turn off the HotSpot. No one at Motorola can fix the problen.
