Apr 21, 2012The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?

Mar 21, 2012From my new Ipad 3 wi-fi/4G LTE I can only text to people who have an apple device! when I put in a phone number or a name from me contact list the send button is grayed out and the contact has a red "!" after it? I have no problems sending from my Iphone 4!

Mar 21, 2012Wouldn't it be something nice if you can turn your device on Without having it in your hand? You could turn it on from your computer, or if you have a iPod turn your phone, laptop and desktop on with it. Or what if you lost it, and someone picks it up and turns it off (iPod or iPhone) and the only way iCloud could find it is if its connected to the internet but it's not on.Maybe i have a bad idea, but i thought about it after losing my iPhone but not my iPod. i Would rather lose an iPod

Jun 24, 2010I got back from my local Apple store with a black bumper and not a single problem now with the reception like I was having. I'm going to call and log a trouble call with them because while I'm glad that I can help the issue now, I don't feel it's right that I had to buy this.
I'm hoping they'll do something by either sending one out at no charge or reimbursing me with my receipt, etc. Either way, I can now make a call again in my house with no issues.

Mar 21, 2012Since yesterday my iPhone stopped making sounds from alerts and clicks from the keyboard but I know the speakers work because when I go to Settings-Sounds and I move the volume bar it rings. I'm already sure that the Lock sounds, Keyboard clicks and alerts are ON, but still doesn't work. Also, when I try to turn up the volume with the volume buttons on the iPhone it doesn't work. It shows the ringer icon but with no volume bars. I already cleaned all the dust in the dock connector and in the headset jack. Also tried plug and unplug the headphones, still not working.
I didn't drop the iPhone, neither spilled anything on it. It just suddenly stop working correctly.
I already restored the iOS 5.1 software but didn't work. It only works with the headset.
