May 15, 2010Last night i decided to restore my 3GS to 3.1.3 from 3.1.2 and when i tried to sync my apps back it would not sync them to the phone, it would show the progress bar go really fast but its impossible for something to install that fast since some apps i have are about 100-200 mb. I have the latest version of itunes(9.1.1.12) and i tried using different ports on my laptop, i tried rebooting both my phone and laptop and that did not help either. Any ideas on what to do

Apr 23, 2012it started a few weeks ago (iphone 4, up to date OS) when i tried to send photos taken with the phone via SMS. it would take FOREVER, if i was lucky. a good message would finally send after 5 minutes or so, but most would just choke and not send. text messages - fine. perfect. brilliant. picture attached? fuggedaboutit. now it's doing it with email attachments as well. tried to send a 179k pdf file from genius scan, and it tried for a half hour before i finally decided to either throw the phone across the room, or delete the message and scan with my desktop scanner so i could send it from my computer. i opted for the latter, in case you're wondering. regular text emails - fine.

Jun 10, 2010I've been trying to upgrade the Ovi maps on my E75, because navigation has kept me saying that I need to renew the license. I went to Nokia web site and found out that I need to upgrade Ovi maps in order to get the free navigation. I have a 202.12.01 firmware and I installed it once again when I had unsuccessfully tried to upgrade Ovi maps. I have Ovi maps v3.01 09wk44b01 (MW OpenGL LM MN) and Map version 0.1.24.114 (OpenBitLM 6.22.5). I've deleted all old maps and started to download new ones successfully over Nokia Ovi Suite. I've downloaded Nokia Ovi Suite and followed the instructions for downloading and installing the newest version of Ovi maps application (I suppose it must be newer than the one I have on now, because navigation still wants me to buy license, I guess it must be 3.03 or higher). I've tried it several times from the scratch, just to make sure I did it right. Of course I've also chosen the right E75 phone from the drop down menu and I downloaded the file nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.sis. I double-clicked it and everything seems to be right, but when action on the phone should be required the installation guide says "Nokia E75 does not support sis files". From the sis file name I can only now see that I have this version already installed.Does this mean I can not use navigation for free on E75?

Mar 12, 2012I have iPhone 4s iOS 5 and have successfully paired (bluetooth) with my new Sony DSX-s310BTX car head unit. When I search for a contact through the head unit, it will load the entire (huge) list of contacts and allow me to navigate through the headunit to a contact to make a call (very clunky - SOny's poor design). So, it sees the contact list successfully. The head unit allows for me to enter six presets contacts into a list of popular numbers for easy access, but after the head unit is set to accept an addition to this presets list (it displays "waiting" prompt on the display), I need to know how to "Send the phonebook data by operating the cellular phone" as the SOny instruction manual says to do. I've contacted Sony support, and reviewed the pdf iPhone 4s manual (as well as these discussions), with no luck. It seems it should be under Contacts > select individual contact > Share Contact, but that only gives the option to share via Email or Message (sms), not Bluetooth.
