View 6 RepliesI'm having two issues with texting on my Blackberry Bold 9700.
1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.
My iMessage will not send to one specific contact, she cannot send to me either, but we can iMessage all our other contacts

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1
iMessage is not working to my husband number. We both have the iPhone 4 on orange network but when I select to send him a message to his phone number it only ever sends as a text message, not iMessage. I can send as iMessage if I select his email address instead or if I respond to a message from him.
Info:iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1
When I send message to another specific imessager user, it goes through as sms. I can send to other imessage users no problem. And the really strange thing is, once this user replies (or starts the conversation) it becomes imessage.

Is there a way to block calls and text messages from one specific phone number?

I have a little issue, my email works perfectly with my BB Curve 9320, except for one contact, my gf, I dunno why, but I can't send even a single e-mail to her.It does'n work and I have tried everything, battery pull, deleting her from the address book and adding her again, I even wiped out my entire BB (y' know, factory settings)
View 4 Replies View RelatedDuring phone calls, for no particular reason, a specific noise appears and I can't continue the conversation. Just hang up and call again. The same noise can be heard by the other side too.
Friends described it "like aliens invaded my phone"
I have updated my phone, tried the "repair" option on my PC and nothing? This malfunction costed me a lot!
how to block incoming calls from a specific contact
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded my Galaxy S II to ICS, and since upgrading I can't receive any phone calls from a specific number. However, I don't actually receive any phone call, just a missed call in my call log, with a weird symbol (attached). I can't find this symbol in the user-manual, or via a Google search.I'm on O2, and the caller has a HTC Desire (Froyo) on Vodafone.

Can calls from a specific number be blocked so that that number cannot call or text the phone if the previous calls have been deleted from the phone?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am able to receive emails on my Blackberry Bold 9700 perfectly fine, and I can send emails to a vast amount of people with no problem. But to a couple of specific people, I am unable to send any emails, and I get a 'red cross' on the email sent, with the status being 'General Failure'.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm curious, is there a way to schedule a text message to be sent at a specific time later in the day through the Google Hangouts app?
For example, it's 6:15 a.m. right now, and I would like to text someone after they wake up today, but I may be sleeping by the time they get up, so I'm wondering if there is a way to schedule my phone to send out a text message 2 hours from now at 8:15 a.m.?
It seems as though there are several third-party apps that claim to do this - and I may end up trying one of those apps - but I would prefer to not install any other Texting apps on my phone, if possible, so I would like to find out if there is a way to do through through Google Hangouts.
I have T-Mobile service on a Nexus 5 running Android 4.4.4 and I use the version of Hangouts that is automatically installed on my phone for text messaging. I don't have any other Text Message apps installed on my phone.
By the way, if there is no way to do this through Google Hangouts, any 3rd-party app that will do this that they have used?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was given an HTC Desire by the company. I plugged it into the PC and hey presto the phone was full of CR4P!I now have a list of contacts about 500 long, 400 of whom I have no idea who they are!People who have sent me emails offers or bought things off.Anyone know of a way I can go through this list (on the PC?) and say Yes I want, No I don't want. OR create a list only of people I want on the sync list.I thought smartphones were to make life easier. I have to trawl through God knows how many useless unknown contacts before I can find mates.I know I can have faves, but I don't want to carry 400 dead names, it ruins the line of my clothes carrying all that extra weight.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDefinitely need to know if it's possible. If not, Apple and iOS should improve that. It used to be an option on the iPhone 3GS.

Is there a way to assign a specific ringtone to 25 out of 100 of my contacts without doing it manually one by one? Is there a quick way to assign them to a group and just assign that group the ringtone?
Is there a way to do it on Outlook so I can do it easier than on my little BB? I assigned about 100 pictures to contacts on Outlook and since the 2 sync, all the pictures showed up with the right contacts. This saved me soooooo much time...I was wondering if there was a way to do similar with ringtones
So far I have been able to assign a ringtone to only 1 contact. For all the others I have tried thus far, I select the ringtone that I want, hit OK and it goes back to the default ringtone. This is strictly the Phone Contact list. I am not using any social networking apps at this time. I do use the Verizon Backup Assistant for my contacts, but that has never been an issue on any of my previous phones. This is the same contact list that was restored from my old phone to this one and the contacts have not changed.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo far I really love this phone, but I seem to have stumbled across somewhat of a glitch that I can't figure out yet. This "smartphone" doesn't seem to allow me what a simple BASIC phone always did....and that is to allow me to assign a different ringtone to specific contacts. I do see that it is an option however it won't save the change on some contacts, but it does on others. I select the contact I want to update, I tap the menu option, then select "Options." I open the Ringtone dropdown, select a new ringtone, tap OK....but when I get out to that previous screen - it once again shows the ringtone as default. I don't understand this. Why will it let me save on some, but not others? I compared one contact that didn't save....to another that did save. They both have the same type of info - a mobile number, an email address, a home address, a facebook link, and a birthday listed. One saved - the other did not.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is probably a n00b question, but is there any way to assign a specific ringtone to a specific contact? I just switched from an LG Lotus, where I was able to give each contact a specific ringtone. I'd love to be able to do that with my Style..

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my HTC EVO I could set notification sounds by application. For text messages I had one tone but none for email. On the Photon I have the same tone setup for text messages coming in through Handcent but it also plays for email coming into the native email client which I do not want. Is there anyway to ether turn it off or select a different ring tone for emails?
Also what is the over/under for Motorola getting tired of hearing "I could do it on my HTC..."
We've upgraded successfully our two US Moto X Pure Edition devices to Marshmallow yesterday. After upgrade completed, the numbers of calling contact are not being recognized anymore, although these contact exists and saved in android's Contact app, and backed up in Gmail accounts. Also, all incoming and outgoing calls in the call log are not recognized, although they were recognized before the upgrade.
This is very critical for us, since one of the phones is used as a business phone and it's crucial for us to know who's calling.
