I have a Nokia 5230 (RM-588) with firmware 20.0.005 and Ovi Maps 3.04. Memory card is Kingston 8GB. I downloaded maps that I needed and everything is working OK from that point.
Here is the problem: I search for an address (offline), Ovi Maps finds it, I rename it and save it to Favourites. I repeat that with some other addresses. Then I turn off the Ovi Maps and navigation and after I start it again, my folder Favourites - Places is empty. Any idea why the Favourites are not saved ?
After an issue with my N97 where I was unable to do any backups from the phone to the internal memory card, I reformatted and reinstalled the apps to my N97 (making sure I did a backup using PC Suite before hand).
Upon restoring the PC Suite image, I found that it didn't restore the list of favourites which have meant that I've lost them all - I'm sure I remember that the backup to memory card did make a copy of them, but as I wasn't able to do this, this wasn't a possible solution .....
Luckily, Google Maps have most of my starred items (favourites) saved, (barring the one I managed to unstar by accident), but it appears as if Google doesn't store the actual co-ordinates and doesn't allow them to be exported ... So in short - is there anyway at all I can get my favourites back ?

Is there any way for me to organize my email into folders? Right now my mail is simply listed newest first and is very unorganized making it difficult to use. If I could set up folders that I could put mail in, that would be perfect.

I have managed to create a little mess out of my iPhone contact list. After syncing my iPhone contacts to my Windows Contacts, my contacts from my computer were placed on my iPhone under a group named From PC. How do I remove this group and also how to I get my iPhone contacts organized according to new groups of my preference?

I'm in the middle of a home renovation and I'm taking pictures of materials, design ideas, the work in progress, etc. I'm also taking other pics too - family, etc. - and I'd like to be able to group pictures other than just chronologically as they are taken so that I don't have to search through 100s of photos. To be able to group all the reno pics together so that I can swipe through them without hitting unrelated photos would be a HUGE timesaver. I know that the edit functions include Delete, Share and Send, but is there a Move function that is hidden somewhere so that I can do so without having to sync with iPhoto or iTunes to manipulate the order?

View 3 Replies View Relatedfor a lighter topic i thought i would share how i setup my homescreen. i dont like to scroll around screens looking for stuff or open the app drawer looking for it either.ne of my favorite apps is Folder Organizer and i make good use of it on all my Android devices. i also realize that the D3 has a similar built in function for folders but it is not nearly as feature rich as what i use so i prefer my 3rd party app for this. Here are a few screen shots:i have blanked out some pics and personal info)hen i choose any of the icons not on my dock i get all the apps i setup to be associated with that folder. here is my tools folder open. if you have more apps than can fit on the screen its ok the folder will scroll to show you all the apps:
here is a shoot of my screen where i labeled my icons so you can see where i am putting my stuff but of course this is just to show you and my screen does not have these labels. i dont like labels on anything since i know what they are:i use folder organizer to make new custom direct links for the camera and camcorder since i like those icons better and i dont want them labeled. you can use icons from any icon set that you have which is nice or folder organizer comes with a lot itself.this is not an ad for folder organizer it is just what i use and i thought i would share my setup.
I was wondering what is the besr way to organize compilation for music. i have some that i listen to but i also have lots of albums by a single artist. when i view my music by artist i end up with hundreds of artists with only one track. i know on an iphone if you select "part of a compklation" they wont show on the artist page. Is ghere a way to do this on the galaxy? Or what is just the best way to organize music that contains compilations?:

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Gallery, there is an option "tag someone", where you can tag people that appear in your pictures. But, nothing is changed when I tag anyone.
I thought that it would create an album where you could see all pictures from the same person. Is that right?! I can do it in "Google Photos", its organize automatically all pictures that the person appears.
I don't know if it is possible. But would be great if for example, in the " Contacts" we could select a person and see also the photos that the person is tagged in your gallery, not only the number, email, etc.
Just got my Nexus 5 today after being an iPhone user since 2007. I have searched the forums but could not find a definitive answer to this question: How do you organize emails into conversations in Exchange using the stock email app. I can't seem to find the setting anywhere.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI always believe it is better to use folders to organize apps on home screen in terms of better performance. However, I don't like TW lollipop folder icon, so I'm thinking about adding a lot of home screen pages and sort apps on different pages.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm all for multitasking, and I realize how important it is to get to it easily - but seriously.... I use the double tap to favorites as my primary function for placing calls (my primary function of my phone).
Is there a way in iOS 4 that I can retain extremely fast access to my favorites screen? Tripple-Tap? Etc?
I know after a jailbreak i'll be able to customize the "activator" but I find it frustrating that apple took away one of their easiest features. The first launch of the iphone (sw 1.0) didn't have a favorites short-cut and I remember how badly it was missing!
How so I put a phone # into favorites, old system was easy it asked.

Is there a way on the Xoom with ICS to create folder on the homescreens (like on my Atrix or an iPad) to organize icons or do we still need to use 3rd party apps for that kind or function?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a trick to the double tap hold for favorites.
I can click home from the first home screen for spotlight.
I can click and hold for voice control.
I can double click for multitasking.
But if I double click and don't release the home button for phone favorites, nothing ever happens. Is this not how it is suppose to work.
I REALLY hope that apple puts this in the upcoming update.... This is the one and only thing I miss about my 3G.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just got a new iPhone 4S about five days ago. It's great and I love it, but...for some reason, the phone app crashes when I try to add a contact to favorites. It just quits every time.Â
Is there anything I can do about this? I'd like to keep a few favorites for when I put on "Do Not Disturb" at night so that I can still get important phone calls and still not get social media pings while I'm sleeping.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had this problem in 4.1 beta 3 and now the GM version. I am running on an iphone 4.
Go to your phone app,Then go to your favorites tab,Then tap the add button,Then go to the search feature in your contacts tab and search for any contact, after that click the contact and try to add them to your favorites list. Does your phone app crash as soon as you try to add a contact to the favorites?
Now you must search for the contact and not scroll through.Anyone that is running 4.1 please let me know if you have this problem to,I did submit a bug report but apple said they couldn't find the problem.
