Just wondering what the general opinion is here on how important having an iPhone is. Would you guys switch carriers left and right to follow a release of a new iPhone, or would you stay put with AT&T and get something else?

Why is it so important to have the new iphone on the 24th. I am amazed at how pissed off people are when they find out it may be the 25th. Am I missing something here?I really like my iphone, and I will be getting a new one, but I don't get the stress and pressure people put on themselves to get one the first day.

however it is really important evidence to be used in court next year and I cannot delete the thread or risk losing it.Â
i Haven't found any way of either sending these sms's to my email, or backing them up to iCloud or my laptop.Â
is the only solution to take a ton of screenshots of the messages and save them as photos? This would take literally hours!Â
I know with older devices it was really important to give it a full load before using it. However I've heard that we use different batteries now which don't need it. Is there a general consensus on whats the best move?

I am receiving important emails on my Iphone 3gs that never show up on my computer. I need them on my computer. Is there a way I can be assured they will be received on my computer?Also, AT&T added a folder on my Iphone in the mailboxes called "synched messages". There was a problem that caused them to do this and stated we could delete the folder after we dealt with the emails they put in that folder. I do not find an option anywhere allowing me to delete the synched message folder.

Why can't I set my iPhone to give me an alert when an important email arrives? This new feature would alert me when I get an email from a predetermined sender or subject line. AOL offers this feature. Why can't my iPhone do it too? The phone would need to read the sender address and subject line of each email, and then bounce it against a list of pre-configured alerts that the user programs. This would also cut down on data consumption, since users would not have to check and recheck their mail when waiting for somethign important. With an alert, you just set it and forget it.

I have the Touch Diamond and with the first handset I got I was able to update windows from the device with no issues. I had to return this unit and received a refurbished one which I've been using for about 10 months with no issues but the windows update doesn't work.upon calling my carrier (Rogers), the guy told me they recommend I not update it from the handset rather I should do it through the PC.How important is updating the device? And where could I find it online?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a 8330 to the 9650. One of my favorite features of the 8330 was the "important calls" exception to the current profile. This was very useful because I work night shift and sleep during the day. I would set my phone to Quite and have my wife and parents listed under important calls because they knew not to call during the day unless it was an emergency.
Well I went to set this up in my new device and was shocked to see that it isn't there. Did RIM move the option somewhere else or is this very useful feature a thing of the past?
Also I don't just want to set a custom ringtone for them that will always override the current profile because sometimes I need my phone to be totally silent (i.e. in meetings). On the 8330 there was a check box that I could turn the exception on and off with.
I am able to see only important mails in E-mail Icon and all the e-mail messages that comes can be seen only in message icon not in e-mail icon and in e-mail icon it is showing important at top only. I had checked cannot the filter also even if one can change it cannot be saved for further use. Please check, I have OS 6.0 bundle 2949 on my Bold 9780 with Airtel as service provider.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthis morning I took my phone off charge and it crashed like I'd taken the battery out but I hadn't.It got stuck on the O2 loading page and wouldn't turn on so took the battery out and it did the same thing getting stuck on the O2 screen. I found that if you turned it off and on with the power off button it would turn on.After it turned back on lots of the icons were missing, BBM, Browser, Facebook, Emails, Profiles icon (for changing from vibrate to silent etc) and other things that I can't remember just know there's more than that missing as the folders and menu are very empty.I can now get to BBM and the browser using the switch applications menu and they work fine so the applications don't need reinstalling the icons have just disappeared.
I've looked for them in the folders and checked the 'show all option' and changed the theme back to the original and still nothing. Also done lots of restars taking battery out and waiting etc. I haven't upgraded anything recently so can't have been that changing any settings.Also I don't have the cable to attach phone to the computer to back it up and reset to factory settings
Really hoping there's a different way as the applications are there and work fine just need to find the icons?
After i got my Windows Insider, I couldn't get my SIM - Card to work, so i read some of the forum threads and figured that since WP 1020 needed to reset the system to work properly i'd do that.
So i did.Problem was just, when i logged on my Windows Phone again, I couldn't find = Settings, Phone, Messages and several other features. My backup has gone missing too.
I have configured my mgail and official emails on my BB Curve. Till a few days back, everything was working perfectly but suddenly, some automatic change happened in the filters of both accounts, and I'm able to see only emails marked 'Important' in those icons. For all the other emails, I have to go to the 'Messages' icon.
When I check the Filter option for my gmail (or official mail) icon, I saw that it was default marked to 'Important'. I am able to change it to 'Inbox' and see my inbox emails temporarily but there's no option of saving that filter type. When I open my gmail (or official mail) icon the next time, I only see the 'Imporant' mails.
I received my Blackberry yesterday and still getting used to it after using an iphone for 18 months. However, I still have 1 small problem......
I have set up the important calls under a profile which only my girlfriend can call when I am on nights. However, whatever I do, the phone never rings, even when I have set up important calls only.
I created a smart action that disables data sync when the Maxx is not on a charger. It is an attempt to solve the problem of sporadic massive battery drain. I don't think background apps are running when this occurs, but anyway I want to know if a successful sync can take place while it is enabled only when plugged in to a charger.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy E71 has died a slow and painful death.Now I've read elsewhere on this forum that the E71 does not support charging via the onboard USB port however:
- My E71 is absolutely dead flat out of battery;
- My E71 is refusing to charge due to some inherant damage to both power charger and charging circuit (because it still won't charge on my Husband's charger);
- I have some very important information stored on the phone memory (not SD card) that I need to access and have no real way of doing so; and
- I have recently done a backup of the phone, but won't allow me to access the file without the phone connected.
I use Hotmail for email. It used to be that if I moved a message to a folder in hotmail (on my laptop) and then deleted it from my inbox on the BB, the message would still be in the folder. Now it seems that if I delete a message on my BB, it deletes it from my email account, no matter where it's stored. Is this new or do I need to change a setting to fix it? I have lost several important emails by assuming they were safe in a folder and then deleting them on it.

I wish I could have a cdma iphone for sprint.
I hope Sprint and Apple work something out, because verizon sucks.
At least I have my ipad.
