I just tried to upgrade my 3gs to ios.5 and have a message saying the iphone cant be activated because the server is temporarily unavailable... also, although the sim card is inserted a message says it is not inserted ??? no idea what to get phone working again. help needed.
I acquired an unlocked T-Mobile blackberry 9700 late last year and had our IT admin guy in NY adding new user license to the blackberry server and then the besadmin had generated activation password for me. I'm using local mobile phone network in Vietnam (Vinaphone) and had installed its service book into my BB. Nevertheless, after having put in my email address and keyed in the activation password, after pressing activate for about 2 minutes of "Acquiring service connection..." my BB keeps on telling me that "Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable" although the communication receptions signals from my local mobile carrier is strong and I can browse internet and accessing gmail or yahoo mail using my BB (which mean internet connection is available).
I can confirm my 4S and all my other devices are not able to activate iMessage after it is toggled off and back on. It simply stays stuck on "Waiting for activation" and eventually goes to "Activation unsuccessful. Turn on imessage to try again". All with no avail. get your engineers on this ASAP apple. More and more people are facing this issue. Devices that are already receiving and sending imessages are unaffected. However when you toggle imessage off and then back on, it does not reactivate. This must clearly be a ongoing issue with your icloud server from yesterdays outages.
your iphone could not be activated because the activation sever is temporarily unavavailiable. Try connecting you I phone to Itunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes, I have but this keeps on happening?
If I go to the internet icon, click on it and then type in a web address, I get an error "http error 503 service unavailable the server is currently unable to handle your request". But if I click on the bookmark for google and type in the web address I'm trying to get to, it will go there.

I got a new BB, and i have a domain got it from (Yahoo! small Business).I am doing the enterprice activation thing, but it is not working, how can i setup my e-mail on my BB?? and how can i solve this (Activation server address) issue?
i am using 9360. while activating hotmail, google, yahoo mail accounts etc. i do not have any problem. but while i am activating my company mail account server rejects me and gives "wrong password" answer to me. i have just discuss with my mail server this topic. they give me this answer: "blackberry using the docode service and we are using courier service thats why they are given problem and not working properly . "but they can not give any idea or any other answer about my problems answer. actually we are using company mail accounts on machines which were activeted before. but at now we can not active any new account or old accounts to new machines. we can not active any company mail account from last week. they gave me server setting and i tried with those too.. but at whole time the same answer "wrong password." we excatly know the pw but server do not give permission to activation.
I've received an email notification from Activation Server (firstname.lastname@example.org) telling me that I have successfully set up my email account with my Blackberry and that I should begin to receive new messages in approx. 20 minutes...strange though, I set up my email account over a year ago and have been receiving emails without problem.
We're running BB Pro Software, version 22.214.171.124 in an exchange environment. We've been using 8900 handsets in the UK, over Vodafone for some time, and tyey work great... ...but now we have a new user who's bought a 9700, again over Vodafone, but this time in Germany. When he attempts to use enterprise activation he (eventually) receives "enterprise server has not responded to your activation request"
We've checked that his data plan is compatible with BES. So - how do we get this working? Do I need to upgrade to BES Express 5.0?
I have never been able to check for updates from my home PC - I can sync songs etc OK, but ever since Day 1, every time ive connected, I get a message "The server is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Come back later to check for updates"This is clearly not true, as I plug the unit into my laptop 2 feet away, and it has no problem connecting to the server.Both have identical MotoCast SW (1.2.9) and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no avail. I've been connected to my work email account through Microsoft Exchange for the past year with no problems. I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!

today my company's email provider changed the hostname for the Exchange server, so I'm stuck with my E72 not syncronizing any more, since I can't edit the server name field in the configuration properties.First of all: is this behavior by design? Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.
