I've received an email notification from Activation Server (donotreply@blackberry.com) telling me that I have successfully set up my email account with my Blackberry and that I should begin to receive new messages in approx. 20 minutes...strange though, I set up my email account over a year ago and have been receiving emails without problem.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi am using 9360. while activating hotmail, google, yahoo mail accounts etc. i do not have any problem. but while i am activating my company mail account server rejects me and gives "wrong password" answer to me. i have just discuss with my mail server this topic. they give me this answer: "blackberry using the docode service and we are using courier service thats why they are given problem and not working properly . "but they can not give any idea or any other answer about my problems answer. actually we are using company mail accounts on machines which were activeted before. but at now we can not active any new account or old accounts to new machines. we can not active any company mail account from last week. they gave me server setting and i tried with those too.. but at whole time the same answer "wrong password." we excatly know the pw but server do not give permission to activation.

So my individual email account on our web server recently got messed up. All emails up to a certain date (let's say Sept 2012) were wiped out. My backups are spotty, there's no copies of my emails on the server, nor on any device (all my devices are IMAP'ed to the web server).
My blackberry has a copy of all my emails, but I don't know how to copy them back onto the server. Is there any way I can reconcile it up through IMAP? Or can I export it to Outlook, and then force it there back onto the server?
I have had an envelope email indicator for a couple of weeks and I have searched through my archives emails and I cannot find an unopened message. I have rebooted many times and even taken out the battery.

Webmail has its uses afterall..I was just wondering if VirginMedia are the only affected users or if this is any/all mobile users who also have a Hotmail account?I'd love Hotmail's inbox to be a bit more mobile friendly. Get shot of the graphics and make it as basic as possible! I'm sure that idea will never amount to anything though.I do have to wonder if this is the start of email notification by text being phased out. Perhaps an attempt to reduce the drain on resources?

I can confirm my 4S and all my other devices are not able to activate iMessage after it is toggled off and back on. It simply stays stuck on "Waiting for activation" and eventually goes to "Activation unsuccessful. Turn on imessage to try again". All with no avail. get your engineers on this ASAP apple. More and more people are facing this issue. Devices that are already receiving and sending imessages are unaffected. However when you toggle imessage off and then back on, it does not reactivate. This must clearly be a ongoing issue with your icloud server from yesterdays outages.

We're running BB Pro Software, version 4.1.4.17 in an exchange environment. We've been using 8900 handsets in the UK, over Vodafone for some time, and tyey work great... ...but now we have a new user who's bought a 9700, again over Vodafone, but this time in Germany. When he attempts to use enterprise activation he (eventually) receives "enterprise server has not responded to your activation request"
We've checked that his data plan is compatible with BES. So - how do we get this working? Do I need to upgrade to BES Express 5.0?
