When I press the button at the top the apple logo comes on briefly then goes away. Only when the computer is turned on and the phone connected can I get it to boot up.
Once started the phone runs normally.
I left my iPhone 5s to fully discharge last night. Today I have come to charge it up and it wont boot up past the Apple logo and charge up. It appears to keep throwing itself back to thinking the charger is repeatedly being plugged in. The phone was working perfectly before I went to bed.Â
I use original leads, have cleaned the connection port, tried another lead but no luck. I have held both buttons down etc but nothing will get the phone working and as I cannot get into ISO I can not do a restore.Â

I was downloading one of the twitter apps through appworld and my phone froze during the install phase. I let it sit for about 30 mins to see if it'll come back to life but it didn't do anything.
I removed the battery for 5 seconds and reinserted but nothing happend. I took out the SIM card and let it sit for 2 hours and still nothing, pluged the wall charger in the phone and no signs of life, no lights nothing!!
I bought it new from Rogers less then 12 months ago and am pissed that it died this soon!!I am looking for advice on how to fix this or a good deal on a 9700. The 3 larger providers in Canada want $700 for the 9700 but WindMobile is charging $450 and no contract, could I buy a WindMobile 9700 unlock and use it on Rogers?
I recently bought a new battery for my Nexus 5 due to issues I was having with my old one. When I put the new battery in, the device gets through the boot, but begins turning off as soon as the lock screen appears. Putting the old battery back in makes the device work fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs I was talking on my Razr v3 yesterday, I experienced what I thought was just another typical of many AT&T dropped calls. However, upon further inspection, I noticed my phone had gone into boot loader mode for no apparent reason. It's done this on a couple of occasions. Once after it was accidentally dropped and another when I turned it off (then back on) because I was on a plane trip. I've been able to get it back to normal by just power cycling it until it booted.This time no such luck and the screen says the battery is 'too low to program' so if I wanted to attempt to flash it which is something I have NEVER done, I couldn't even do it due to the low battery. This is the only Razr I have and I don't know anyone that still uses one so I don't have one available to put my battery in to charge.Is this the only way to charge the battery? Is it not possible to charge it with the power off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I was running the VZW official .713 OS. Then, I think I installed the latest BBM. After about 12 hours of that, I started experiencing random crashes triggered by actions (not particular actions). I add a contact, it crashes. I boot back up and add again, it doesn't crash - something like that with various other actions like me locking the phone using the left lock button, or snapping a picture, etc.I didn't attribute this to BBM and so figured to hell with the official OS and installed a hybrid (Yes, I'm aware that it's not a supported OS bla bla, but it started with the official .713 so there is merit to this). And upgraded to the new BBM. Installed apps, etc. Battery was draining by 2-5% every 30-45 minutes. Crashes were happening and I wouldn't know till I had to use the phone again, at which point it starts the boot process.I uninstalled the latest BBM and downgraded to the previous stable 5.0.0.66 and it is still going on.
I'm running out of options here.I checked the event log for the time it crashed and encountered only one fatal error:Any help would be appreciated as I don't know what else to do except for installing the old BBM and no other applications. In which case, no point of the phone. I've been using the phone for the past 2 months with no problems..If someone wants me to email this to someone at RIM, that's fine too as I don't know how else to go to them.
My Nexus 5 device is unable to boot stock or recovery image. It's a locked bootloader, and stock ROM from my wireless carrier. I charged it with a 2 amp capable charger.
Symptoms: preceding the failure , there were strange slowdowns, apps crashing, and inability to charge the battery over the course of a day. When the battery finally died, that was the last I saw my Operating System. Now, when it's plugged in to power, it indicates full charge. If the power button is pressed it will show the Google logo, then cycle back to the battery charged icon. If the power button is held, the battery logo is skipped and Google logo displayed repeatedly. If the down volume button is pressed in addition to power, I get the screen where I can chose the recovery loader, but then the process of Google logo and reboots persist.
If nothing else, I'd like to grab built-in SD card memory contents and strip out a bitcoin key with about $40 on it that I didn't get to back up before it failed.What have I tried so far: basically everything above to generate those symptoms. I also tried opening the back, and pulling one of the top cover and unplugging the battery entirely. No effect.
Several flashing attempts failed. Now i'm stuck in the "bootloader usb init" screen.(but thats another problem i'm trying to get help with in another thread.)I started with a fully charged good battery, but after hours of trying to get this thing back into verizon by flashing it with VRZ_E815_01.1E.0R_PRIii09574_MONSTER_01.shx , i believe i'm outa juice, well the battery is.So I plugged it in the charger, it's still in the bootloader mode and on! QUESTION:
How do i know that/if the battery is charging while in the bootloader state?.. or is this phone turning it self off, not a battery problem at all, but has something to do with the failed flashing... a dead phone?
Phone needed a battery pull last night as it froze in the middle of sending a picture message. This happens a LOT I'm afraid. Typically, it boots right up, loads the software, my screen comes up, my icons come back and I'm in business. I am stuck in a boot loop it seems. The BB logo comes up, the bar loads about 2/3 of the way, then the red light comes on and it shuts off. Phone starts back up and does the same thing over and over and over. It also won't turn off (unless I just pull the batter out, but when replaced, the same thing keeps happening). I can't load the OS again through the BB Desktop Manager because the process is halted each time the phone turns itself off again.

I have a 32 GB HTC One M9 from Verizon on stock Lollipop Android, and it has been working perfectly until this morning. I woke up to my M9 stuck in a bootloop. It would boot to the HTC logo, stay there for about 10 sec, then go black and constantly restart again (even as I type this). I can access the bootloader, but it seems none of the options work for me! I can't boot to recovery mode or even power off my phone. It just constantly boots again by itself.

It was previously jailbroken and I've attempted a full restore to its original settings. Because it was jailbroken, it needed some additional steps - custom firmware - to get it back to its original form.
After doing that, the restore seemed to proceed. Got to the final steps, and then it said "there is no sim card installed in the phone you are attempting to activate". For now I'd like to just use it as an iPod.
I also have her original sim card. Tried to connect to iTunes, and it said that the sim card is invalid. (It is the sim card that was being used in that phone).
Ultimately the goal is to purchase a new sim card, and unlock the phone to switch it over to the carrier she is presently using. But I'd be happy with getting it to run as an iPod for now.
I had expected it to restore fine ... but it's not.
Any suggestions?
I found my phone died yesterday. I thought it may have drained the battery. I Plugged iPhone in with Wall Charger for 1 hour. It did not turn on by itself.
Then, Kept it on Wall Charger and tried the Reset by holding both Home and Power buttons for 30 sec and the iPhone did not restart.
I tried to restore it, by holding the home button and connecting through iTunes but nothing happened.

I have a iPhone 4 and it froze and when rebooted it stays at the Apple logo screen. I have tried to put the iPhone in DFU and all I can get it to do is go into recovery mode (Shows a picture of iTunes with USB etc..)When I press the Sleep and Home button, the iPhone just goes of for a second and then powers back up and again, stays at the Apple logo. My iPhone will not boot up, and I don't know what did it. My friend said his iPod won't come on because he charged it on a friend's XBOX overnight, and so did I. I really don't know if the XBOX did it, but it's possible. The other day I turned it off to save power, and when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't completely boot up. The Apple logo shows up for about a minute and then the loading symbol comes up and just keeps going and it won't ever get to the lock screen. I've tried to restore it. It won't show up in iTunes so I heard about putting the device in Recovery Mode to make it recognizable. It made it show up, but every time I tried to restore it gave me error codes like 21, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, and 1604. My iPhone was on 5.0.1 and at the Restore page in iTunes that only had options to Update and Restore. Update was grayed out, and there should be an update to 5.1. Then today when I tried restoring it the message at the top was stuck on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple..." iTunes isn't frozen on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple," it just won't say anything else. I've tried everything and nothing works. I've even tried holding the Power and Home buttons forever, and still, nothing works.

It took me all nite, but I was able to re-jailbreak my iPhone 3GS after I got stuck in reboot mode after a network reset and was forced to update to 3.1.3. This happened almost 3 weeks ago, and I not only lost my jailbreak, but all of the apps, photos and EVERYTHING that I had on my phone as after I did the update to 3.1.3 I could only set up my phone as a new device. Anyway, I searched online and I found all of the tools I needed to accomplish this task. I downloaded Redsn0w 0.9.2, BlackRa1n RC3, The 3.1.2 ispw firmware, and iRecovery. I also found a post on hacking the drivers folder in the Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts file in Windows that would allow 3.1.3 to be downloaded to 3.1.2. It took a couple of hours and some patience, but when all was said and done I was able to downgrade the firmware and re-jailbreak my phone.

I recent bought a unlocked iphone 5c 8gb two days ago the phone was acting fine for a day. thin after that day around 6 the next day the phone had lines pop up on the screen and turned its self of. so im thinking its normal when the phone crashes and turn off i mean all iphone does this. but it was wearied seeing the lines pop up. after that i had turn the phone back on to update it to ios 8.1.1. soon as i did that it got worst. then phone would heat up and shut off with the lines on . you couldn't even have the phone on for a 1 before it did that.
So it had shut off again and when i turned it back on i t went straight to recovery mode. and i got out of that by holding the home button and power for ten seconds. thin i went to youtube to do some research and they said to do recovery mode or dfu mode. i did it once and it work for a while thin did the same stuff all over again. so i did it multiple times like 9 times recovery mode/ dfu mode. so now the apple logo blinks and fade a way constantly. and everytime i try to put it in dfu mode or recovery mode it wont even go on there it will just blink and fade away. do i need to get a new battery.

So the last few days I've been having a severe issue with my iPhone 4. Basically, it restarted on me out of no where, and now it's just in a continuous boot loop. It flashes the dimmed Apple logo for roughly 8 seconds, goes black, and keeps doing it over and over.Â
I've searched Google and the Apple communities high and low, tried all the solutions, nothing work. I've tried restoring via both DFU and recovery mode, and nothing works. I keep getting Error Code 21 and 3194, and various others.Â
While in recovery mode, with the USB cord and itunes logo, iTunes will detect that it's in recovery and tells me it needs to be restored.
So, I click restore and update. iTunes extracts the software, then goes to the "waiting for phone", and just keeps going into a boot loop again.Â
I've tried TinyUmbrella to see if that can fix the boot loop issues, but it hasn't worked. Tried on several different computers, with different cords, and nothing. It's not a jailbroken device, or water damaged or anything.
I've deleted the gsp Apple jargon in the host file in my Windows>system32>drivers>etc folder, adding the hashtag to it, etc. Nothing is working for me, despite all the people replying to posts/solutions saying it works for them.Â
I was running iOS 7.1.2 perfectly before it had restarted and did the boot loop. It's now currently plugged in, with the connect to itunes screen.
