I have a iPhone 4 and it froze and when rebooted it stays at the Apple logo screen. I have tried to put the iPhone in DFU and all I can get it to do is go into recovery mode (Shows a picture of iTunes with USB etc..)When I press the Sleep and Home button, the iPhone just goes of for a second and then powers back up and again, stays at the Apple logo. I have some pictures on my iPhone that I MUST get off before I allow it to be recovered..
When I connected my x6 via usb, the screen went blank and came back freezing on the boot-up screen (white screen with NOKIA in blue letters.) I couldn't switch off the phone with the power button so I removed the battery. When I switch on the phone now, it freezes on the boot-up screen and stays there. The only thing I can do is remove the battery.
My BlackBerry 9300 curve is (usually) freezing after the booting progress bar has reached the end. Occasionally, I can get it to connect to my Desktop Software. And very occasionally, after trying to connect, it goes into some unrecognisable text version of its screen. I'm able to scroll about on this and try various things, but I keep getting Java errors. After a number of these I got a message saying "AppError 601" and the phone rebooted. Hasn't shown particular signs of life yet (back to freezing at the end of its boot progress).
I did manage successfully to use the resettofactory command from the MacOS terminal to get it to wipe. However, from the text-only screen, and judging by the documentation as well, it doesn't remove apps. And I'm guessing this is app-related.I've tried booting it in safe mode, which left me with a frozen screen with text in the background and a rectangular logo screen in the foreground (there's also a screenshot in the attachments).Even if none of this rings a bell with any of you, do any of you know how to delete the apps from the command line?
My boyfriend recently got a BB from a friend to replace his broken one. when replacing the simcard the phone wouldn't turn on, not even when connected to a computer. So i tried to update the software however this failed and now the phone will boot to 2/3rds and then freezes. I have tried to wipe the phone and reinstall the OS however this doesnt work either. The program used to wipe does not connect to the phone and it appears I cannot overwrite the OS without wiping it first.
Whilst I'm at it... I have my own old curve which I then gave to my brother when I upgraded. He failed to tell me that he'd dropped it in water and just said the keys were broken so I was unable to dry it out at the time. The phone works but none of the keys or tracking pad do. I have upgraded the OS and even wiped the software and done a total reinstall and still no luck.
I have never rooted my phone nor have I flashed a custom ROM before. I have a 32 GB HTC One M9 from Verizon on stock Lollipop Android, and it has been working perfectly until this morning. I woke up to my M9 stuck in a bootloop. It would boot to the HTC logo, stay there for about 10 sec, then go black and constantly restart again (even as I type this). I can access the bootloader, but it seems none of the options work for me! I can't boot to recovery mode or even power off my phone. It just constantly boots again by itself.
For the last couple of months, my iphone freezes in any application, causing me to turn my phone off completely. It's happening more frequently, and is quite irritating when I need to call someone, and frozen in email, or whatever I've made all the available updates, etc. I've also taken very good care of my iphone, so shouldn't be a damage issue at all.
phone app keeps freezing and the voicemails i receive cannot be listened to as the play button is greyed out. I have just started this in the last week for no obvious reason.Â
I turn it off and on and I am on the latest software. It is a real pain as I have work calls coming through to this phone and I can't hear the message without dialling into my voicemail manually a la 1990.Â
I have deleted all my old voicemails and deleted voicemail but no change.
Where suddenly the screen just does not register any touch? I find this happens on the lock screen occasionally, when i try and slide to unlock, nothing happens, its like the screen is not detecting any actions. I usually end up having to hold both power/home buttons until the phone restarts because even the 'slide to power off' won't work.
Has anyone noticed their phone freezing more than usual on iOS4? I upgraded my 3GS to iOS4 a few days after it was released and since then is has frozen and needed a hard-reset 4 times. I only ever had to do that once with in the whole year of owning it until I updated.
I have brought an app called 'draw something' and it crashes all the time. It opens to the home screen and then crashes and shuts down and sometimes it doesnt even open.I have updated my iphone4s to the latest software, reinstalled it,restarted phone!
When I press end call it doesn't go back it just stays on that display and fades black then I can't make or receive calls can text but I'm getting tired of going to rest all setting to get it going again I phone 4
Over the last week or so, my 4s has been freezing up when i go to use the camera. Not everyime, but maybe 6 out of 10 times. I hit the camera app and then is freezes on the screen where it looks like the shutter is closed and i have to re start.
I have some troubles with my Iphone 4. Factory Unlocked. I just updated my phone to 5.1.1 and it started to freez. I can`t use it. Because when i press home it just freeze and i have to restart it by Home+Power. But it doesn`t help because after restart it freezing again. I tried to restore-no result. All this problem started after updating.. Because now i can`t it turn on.. After last freezing it turned off by itself. I don`t want to belive that my phone "dead"
My iphone 3g keeps freezing and then won't shut off. I have to let the battery run down for it to shut off. After I put a charge back in it it will be fine for awhile! It 1st started when I was on Facebook and now it does it on phone calls after about 5 min. I restored it but that didn't help it!
I work in a maximum security facility, which just banned cell phones within the perimeter, so I have to leave the phone in my car while I'm at work. Leaving the phone at home is not an option as I work 70+ miles from home, and need the phone in case of emergencies or other communication. Buying a less expensive phone also is not an option, since I already have this one and love it! What are some suggestions for keeping the phone from frying in the summer and freezing in the winter?
I've had my iPhone 4S for 2 years in October. It worked fine (besides the sound, but that's another issue). About a month ago, it started to act funny. It would stay on a certain battery percentage (making me believe it was okay and I didn't need to charge it) until all of my apps froze and the screen eventually going black. I called tech support for my carrier and they put me on the right track-- resetting it. That worked for a little while, but it only froze up like that every so often. A few weeks ago it started getting worse; I had to reset it from 5-8 times a day. I went to my carrier (which, by the way, was two hours away) and they told me there was nothing they could do until I restored and updated the software. I went home and did just that, but it changed nothing! The wifi won't connect, the apps and battery percentage freezes. What is going on? Should I try contacting my carrier or should I tough it out for two more months until my contract runs out? Is there anything I could possibly do to get my phone working again?
I'm trying to restore my 3GS so I can eventually sell it, but it's not wanting to.When I try to restore through iTunes, it freezes at "Restoring iPhone software", and the phone just shows the Apple logo with a progress bar that's stuck.
I rebooted my Macbook, reinstalled iTunes, did a hard reset on the phone, tried it from DFU mode, and I don't know what else to try.It had the unjailbroken 4.0GM installed on it if that makes any difference.
I was running the cnbc real time app and my screen went dark. I could see the backlight was still on but the screen was a lit black screen. For a few minutes I presses all the buttons and finally the phone booted up.
This morning my phone did the same thing for no reason. I finally had to press both the power button and home screen button to get it to re boot. When I ran the new game. Eliminate gun range, the phone did the same thing My concern is that I may not be able to replicate it at the genius bar if I take the phone there
