IPhone :: ITunes Not Recognizing Phone But Recognizes Ipod
Jul 3, 2010
Out of nowhere my iphone is not being recognized by itunes but when it's connected it charges. Itunes does recognize my ipod so it can't be an issue with itunes or my usb cord right? I've tried resetting and restarting (I haven't restored) my iphone and its still not working. The iphone is jailbroken. So what do I do to fix this problem?
I have got a new phone and I would like to restore all the apps, music and photos etc from my old phone across to the new one. When I plug my new phone into itunes it doesn't seem to recognize the most recent back up but is finding one from October last year.
On my PC with Windows XP, I try to connect my iPhone 4s with iTunes but as it says in the title, iTunes doesn't recognize the iPhone whereas Windows recognizes it as a camera. What have I tried so far:reinstall itunes reset settings on iPhone battery is always charged
My iTunes library recognizes my 4S. I can see it under the Devices section. The problem is that it doesn't automatically sync the music and all the other stuff from the library to the iPhone itself. If I click the "Sync" button in the iPhone section, it will start to sync but won't actually sync. Please help.
I have just upgraded and got a new iphone 4s. When i plug it into the the computer the phone does not make the noise that it should (the same noise when you put it on charge) the computer does not recognise the phone as any form of device or driver, the computer doesnt even charge the iphone. I have opened itunes manually and tried to force connection this way but that didnt work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of itunes and can also confirm that the apple mobile support is installed, I even repaired it just to be sure.I have tried 3 different cables and 3 different USB ports but still nothing. What makes this even more frustrating is that the computer and itunes does recognise my partners iphone 4.
my iphone 4 is unable to connect to itunes. my laptop is able to recognise it as a camera but that it. ive also tried turning it off and holding the the home button and putting the cable into the phone but again without and success. is there a way around this so that i can connect it to itunes???
I just installed iTunes 10.6 and my computer (windows 7) no longer recognizes my iPhone 4. I've restarted both and uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes, but it's still not working.
My iphone use to automatically pop up when i plugged it into my PC but now itunes isn't picking it up but it does register my other iproducts such as ipod, and ipad how can i fix this issue?
iTune is not recognizing my iPhone 4S after Apple store replaced my old phone with New phone. Every other iPhone and iPad recognised by ITune but not this one.
I just got a new macbook pro and I have mostly made it similar to my old mac (I did it manually cause I didn't want to copy every little thing from the old mac so I didn't use migration assistance except for the applications).Anyways, I even took my old itunes folder from my old computer and replaced it over the current itunes folder. So that made itunes show up exactly like it did on my old computer (kept my playlists that told me when I added a song).
Problem: I just connected my iphone right now just to see what would happen (like would it wipe it clean, look at it as a guest iphone, be able to recognize it).Except, the iphone doesn't recognize it is plugged into a computer (it starts charging but doesn't say syncing or anything) and itunes acts like nothing got plugged in at all. They totally are not making any recognition that they are connected (The iphone is treating the laptop like a plug in the wall charger basically).
How do I get itunes to recognize there is an iphone connected to it?
I just want to add if it helps, I just tried my ipod (though I haven't synced the ipod in a while) and it recognizes it (and it does not recognize it as a new ipod but as what I named it and everything). And my old computer recognizes my iphone fine.
I have an Iphone and my mom just got an Iphone last week, and our stuff on our phones are downloading each others things, so what do I do to make it seperate?
after googling possible solutions i followed Apple's support pages. I have restarted the phone, restarted iTunes multiple times in different orders. I removed all apple components from my XP PC nogo ? restarted the PC. re-installed iTunes. still nothing. im considering throwing my phone through the nearest Apple store window.
Info: iPhone 4, Windows XP, clean itunes install IOS current
My phone is in recovery mode.I think my husband detached it from the USB when it was near the end of a big sync to answer a call. It was the first time I had plugged the phone into my PC to add all my music. I had the phone replaced at an Istore when I needed a new screen a few weeks ago. I had named the phone etc at the beginning of the sync, but when I plug it in Itunes is just calling it 'Iphone' and saying I need to reset factory settings and will lose all my data. Can I call up the 'devices list' on Itunes to see if it has my backup there? I have my contact list off Icloud as my husband was using my icloud and I didn't want to merge phone lists.
I just bought a new iphone 4s. I synced my 3gs just fine, moments ago. Now i am plugging in my new iphone 4s and it's not being recognized by itunes, period. What should I do? I've reset the phone, closed itunes, ensured both are running updated software, etc. I just re-plugged my old phone in and it pops up just fine...how do i make it recognize the new phone?
I would have thought that the iPod app would have been a much better place to have Ping. I hardly ever use the iTunes app on the iPhone, it's hidden away in a folder of apps I don't use but can't delete.
The iPod app would have been much better imo and makes more sense. It's an app used daily by most people. You are listening to something on the go, you like it, you click to recommend. You can look up info on the artist you are currently playing and so on. Doubt I will ever use it when it's in the ITunes app.
I recently updated iTunes, now my iPhone 4 and my iPod will no longer sync with iTunes. I am running OS X 10.7.3 - I when I attempt to sync- it stops at syncing photos and quits- giving me an error page.
The syncing on my iPod 5th Generation seems to work fine, but after further review, about 10 apps don't sync for some reason. I am using iOS7. I'm trying to transfer all of my apps from my iPod to my iPhone 5s via iTunes, but I can't get a few apps to sync in iTunes. Why most of my apps will sync fine, but some won't? One of the apps I am trying to sync is called RE.minders (a calendar app).
