I bought a 2nd hand Iphone4 and a carrier unlock was submitted to Vodaphone by the previous owner sucessfully. However the phone is still locked and it was well over 7 days since the request was put in. How long do these things take, I was told it would only be 5 days.

The Apple knowledge base article [URL] says that once the iPhone has been unlocked I should get a message in iTunes saying: "Unlock Complete. Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked. To set up and sync this iPhone, click Continue."
I did not get that message, but neither did I get an error message. Since ATT's (possible) unlock I have updated the software to 5.1.1, and done a complete backup and restore. I bought the iPhone used from a friend several months ago, and then created a custom config / profile with Apple iPhone Configuration Utility. This allowed me to use the phone as a Pay As You Go phone on ATT's network, and has worked this way with no problems for the last six months. The phone has not been jailbroken, or unlocked with a third party unlocking tool.
In the next few weeks I will be traveling to the UK where I want to be able to use a local number, but want to make sure that this will work before I travel. How do I test ATT's unlock without a Tmobile micro sim that I dont have?

Someone was playing with the game setup in kids mode. I don't know how it happened, but now the phone has a PIN. Not a PIN to exit kids mode - but a PIN to get onto the phone. I've never had a PIN or password on the phone - I was using a pattern for security but now it's not asking me for a pattern - it says "Type PIN code".
I've restarted the phone several times. It says that it will automatically factory reset after 10 unsuccessful attempts and I've already used 7. I tried the PIN that I set to exit kids mode, and 0000 and a few others. Nothing works.
I've tried restarting the phone in the "Safe Mode" and it still asks for the PIN Code.
Kids Mode was supposed to be a way that one could play a game and not mess up the phone, but now it looks like I'm going to lose everything.
I bought a locked Atrix by amazon market place end after I bought the unlock code. When I try to unlock is displayed the message "network unlock request unsuccessfull". i'm informin a 8 digits code.

I miss the ability to push the top wake button and be able to slide slider over to move from Vibrate to Ring like I used to be able to with my Droid X and Droid D1. You can only switch from Ring to Vibrate that way now.
