May 18, 2012So I tried to update my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1.1, like iTunes told me to do, and it froze part way through the installation for a couple of hours. I tried to "reset" the iPhone by pressing both the home and power buttons simultaneously, but now iTunes tells me my iPhone is in recovery mode. From my limited knowledge, it seems I need to restore my iPhone, but I don't want to lose anything, like my SMS history.
Is there a way to get out of recovery mode without having to restore?

Mar 20, 2012So I was in the process of updating my iphone 4s software, it completely froze while it was in the middle of backing up. I disconnected my phone and tried to reboot it but that didnt work. i tried to reconnect it to itunes but it wasnt being read... so i downloaded the new itunes update to see if that would make a difference and it did... except for when i connected my phone to itunes there was a message that said " itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes." If i restore my phone everything will be deleted & i'm not sure when i did back up, i think it was 2 1/2 months ago. I dnt know what to do, i dont want to lose all my pictures and texts that i currently have on my phone.

Apr 19, 2012I downloaded some of my old CD's to itunes and I've noticed that the songs are not downloading to my iphone, even when I go to my phone and music and check the box. I've sync'd like 5 times and nothing.
I've also noticed that some of my CD's that I've downloaded are listed under my other music but its not available to checkmark the box under my music.
I have no idea what's going on. Is is a PC issue? Is it an itunes issue?

Jul 1, 2014Last night my iPhone 4 was updating for iOS 7.1.2 and it was working perfectly fine until it froze 3/4 of the way.
It has been stuck on the Apple logo and progress bar for over 13 hours, I tried draining out the battery hoping it would turn off then restart but even when it was on 0% it would not turn off. I also cant do the hard reboot with the home and sleep/wake/lock button due to my lock button being broken (it has been broken for awhile now) I can't get it fixed at the moment but I really want to be able to use my phone, I also don't want to restore my phone because im scared im going to lose everything on it.Â

Apr 1, 2012Even when you disable the setting to use cellular data for music downloads, when you enable iTunes match and are downloading files, if you walk away from your hotspot, iTunes keeps downloading you music.I've tried anything, but only completly disabling cellular data (network setting) prevents me from using up loads of data traffic while having iTunes Match downloads.

May 3, 2012I plugged my iPhone into my laptop to do a simple update of my playlist, but a message flagged up saying I had to retore and download the new iOS 5.1 update before carrying on (I know i've left the update late, just havent had the time!) My phone was restarted and all my contacts revived but whenever I try and download all my new and old music, it just wont let me? I've tried everything, using a different lead, using a different USB port, turned my phone on and off but nothing is happening. The iTunes screen says the music has been downloaded but my phone has nothing on. Also, only 385 of my 1000 photos have been restored, how do I get the rest on? I really really dont want to lose them!

May 14, 2012So i noticed this morning when trying to download the latest podcast i wanted that it was just broken on my iPhone 4S. I tried everything, quitting the app, restarting the device, updating to the latest firmware that was waiting to be done. None of these things made any difference. I tried with a friends iPhone and he could see podcasts fine, ruling out the servers being down or whatever. I got home and synced my Phone to my mac and got the latest podcasts via iTunes on my Mac. Still this hasn't helped anything either I shot this shaky video to show what happens [URL]I'm a bit at a loss beyond having to fully nuke my phone which is more than a bit inconvenient.

Jun 28, 2012The past few months I've gotten warnings from AT&T that I was near or exceeding my data plan limits when I never did before. After a lot of testing it seems that on my iPhone, iTunes Match still downloads data—megabytes worth—even if I have the "download over 3g" setting turned off. I've had to turn off iTunes Match on my iPhone totally and rely on "old-fashioned" syncing unless I want to upgrade to the bigger data plans, which I'm not going to do. Sigh! Anyone else notice this? The behavior persists over several erase-and-restores of the phone.

Sep 15, 2012I have a Blackberry Curve 9360. i invoked a software upgrade on my phone and it has been frozen for the past 36 hours on the Backup screen. It keeps getting to the Overall Backup progress of 9% and stopping(Social Feeds). I've tried connecting it to the desktop manager but it does see it as being connected. I've tried taking battery out to reset, I've even followed instructions and tried to safe boot by restarting and holding escape key. But all this has not done anything it just goes back to backup screen and freezes at 9%.
i havent been able to use the phone for over a day.
