I installled the Pimp Your Screen app from the App Store. Love the app, but it uses a ton of memory space. When I contacted the company they said the app downloads all the images to my devise everytime I open the app and even though I do not save a picture they images are saved in the cache. This causes a 37mb app to take up 317mb of space on my iPhone. how to delete the cache for this app?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI noticed that certain apps, like Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram, are starting to hog up a bunch of memory on my device.When checking the usage details, I don't have the option to clear out the 'documents & data' within the app. I've been reading a few things online which advised that deleting and reinstalling the app is the only way to clear it out on the phone. It seems to be a bit of an inconvenience, especially if I use the apps often and they start accumulating new data all over again after they are reinstalled.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to clear system cache to see if resolves some issues with WiFi I am having. But when I am trying to do this but when I get to the screen the red triangle, press and hold then VOLUME UP and POWER buttons, the screen will go blank the the phone will just reboot into the OS.
Procedure
1) Power Device Off
2 Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and POWER until you get into the system menu.
3) Press VOLUME DOWN, highlight the RECOVERY option press POWER
Wait for Red Triangle to appear.....
4) Press and hold VOLUME UP and POWER to enter option the clear system cache.
At step 4 is where it just reboots into the OS, I never get the option to clear cache. I have also tried just pressing both VOLUME UP and POWER and releasing, no luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThere is a folder in my nokia memory card called CITIES. It contains a folder named distance which is occupying almost all of my memory card. This folder belongs to my Nokia GPS.When I was in UK, nokia gps worked well, now when I am in Pakistan, the maps are not available for the cities here. So I started using Google maps.I have tried to reduced the 'Maximum Memory in use' to 20% by going into Menu>Applications>GPS>Options>Settings>Map But the folder still exceeds 2 GBs. Can I delete the diskcache folder without fearing any problems with the nokia GPS?

1. Power off phone.
2. Press Volume Down & Power.
3. Click Reboot to Bootloader.
4. Click Boot to Recovery Mode.
After extensive researching and contacting HTC directly, I found out that I am supposed to get a few options where one of them is 'Wipe Cache Partition'. However, all I get is a black screen for a few secods, then an icon of my phone with an exclamation mark on it. That appears for about a minute, after that the phone reboots.
Any reason that's not working? I'm running Lollipop 5.1 and Sense 7.0.
Several apps, including Sky Sports, were saving images to Gallery. I have solved part of the problem by putting an empty file named .nomedia in the root directory of offending apps that I can identify and then clearing the Gallery cache. However, there are still a large number of images of Flags of the World but I don't know which app is creating them.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my Moto X (2014) has been a little slow lately. I decided that I'd try and clear the cache for the first time seeing as how I've encountered that recommendation several times here on the site. I've never done it, even after upgrading to 5.0.
Today I tried it and it just got stuck on "Formatting /cache..." for about 10 minutes before I decided just to reboot and try again. I've cleared cache on several other devices before and it's usually very very quick. After a reboot, same thing with the exception of these error messages:
I gave up and just booted into the OS. The phone is working ok but I don't think my cache is cleared. I have a 32GB Pure Edition. No root or custom ROMs or anything.
Other than a device reset, how do you clear any cached items all at once?

Did the cache partition wipe, factory restore, and for a while it was ok.. then it started acting up again - getting super hot, quick battery drain, apps crashing. Applied the other update from Verizon and went through all the same steps again, with the same results. Each time I reinstalled fewer and fewer apps. Now I've just done another cache partition wipe, factory restore, set up no email accounts, installed no apps, and am running in safe mode.. and my phone feels pretty hot. What's the best/safest way to check the health (temp) of the battery? Should I install GSam for a while? Or is there a way within the stock battery stuff to check the temp?

The interesting part was that the other names on the "sent" to list were other email contacts of mine. That's fine but I don't keep a contact list on Yahoo. And I have 1000's of contacts in outlook.The mailing list on this email was much more selective. When I examined my blackberry, the emails that are currently cached in my blackberry were the only email addresses used in these spam email distribution lists! So it looks to me like my blackberry emails currently on my blackberry were somehow hacked and the addressed extracted from these emails alone.is this possible?? there were only about 10 email addresses in this spam email. Organizer sync is finally working now that I switched to the single image 32-bit Outlook 2010 instead of click-to-run. So, the desktop software shows my last sync date, but still keeps coming up saying I have never backed up the device. How do I get the browser cache to back up so that the software stops trying to do a full backup each and every time I go to sync my organizer data? This is quite annoying...

recently swapped to android from iPhone. Got a massive issue and I can't find out how to solve it. Every time I open the Formula 1 ( + others ) app, it saves EVERY photo within the app into my gallery, tried deleting the photos, but they come back the next time I open the app and it really annoys me. So much so I might go back to Apple.
