Apr 5, 2012How do you delete an address from autofill in email? I have cleared cache, browser, history, updated contacts in gmail.. etc etc. What is happening is that even though the address is not in my address book, because I've used it on my phone it keeps coming up. I have read through here on how to delete it, but I can not find out how to delete this. I am using iphone 4, newest software, gmail. The address is not in my address book and everything/person I've replied too is saved/keeps coming up.

Dec 19, 2014I have a situation with the email program on my HTC ONE ( m7) . I have changed internet providers, so when i go to send my self an email ( browser links, etc), my two previous accounts appear for the "auto-fill". The same if i type my wife's email address in, also, it pops up with the old email address. I am using the app for OUTLOOK, but it also was doing it for the other program that i had installed. I looked thru my contacts, and there is nothing there with the old email address. It's just a nuisance thing, but other than the mail issue with it showing our old email email address' the phone works fine. How to remove the old email address'.

May 30, 2015I use the default email app for my corporate Exchange account. It works great. I also have a Google Apps account for which I only sync Google Drive, so that I have access to my Google Drive at work. However, everyone in my exchange Active Directory has a duplicate account in Google Apps.
In my google apps account settings, I have contacts and Gmail set to never sync. Sync is off. However, whenever I am typing an address in my email app for exchange, all of me Google Apps Active Directory email addresses also come up, which is problematic because they are all duplicates of the exchange email addresses, since the directories are linked.

IPhone :: Deleting Email Addresses From Auto-fill
Apr 12, 2012I previously had a gmail account and on that, I obviously sent emails.
This account as now been deleted off my iPhone and the login credentials long forgotten.
Now under my new iCloud and new gmail account (which I created in lieu of my previous gmail), I get the email addresses that I no longer want or use that I sent from my previous and now-deleted account, popping up in my auto-fill as soon as I start to type a few characters in the "To" box.
I'd rather not restore my iPhone to factory settings. I have an iPhone 4 running on the latest software and I also have a PC on windows vista.

BB Device Software :: Email Address Cache Quick List Error - Turn Off Feature?
Apr 16, 2010In the lastest device OS, the email application on the device caches email addresses from emails you have received, so that when you compose a new message these cached email addresses appear in the quick list along with addresses from your Contacts list. I need to know how to turn off this feature or to at least delete some of the cached addresses. Here's the problem. I have a contact in my Contacts list whose name is Thomas. He often goes by Tom, but I don't have Tom in the Contact record for him. He sent me a conference call invitation in which he used the name Tom to set up the conference. The actual email address is from freeconference.com, but his name appears as Tom. Now if I go to write an email to him and start to type Tom, the cached email appears and I end up sending an email to freeconference.com instead of to his real email address. I'm sure this happens with other contacts as well. Since the real email address is masked in the quick pick list, it is very easy to miss this issue and send to the wrong place.

It doesn't matter what category the contact is from. I've tried alt "rbld" in the contacts. I've restarted about 15times over the last week, even with the almighty battery pull. I've tried re-syncing multiple times. I've removed and re-installed my email accounts. May 3, 2010Ever since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously:
1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book quickfix several times without any success.
2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.

Aug 13, 2012My BB ID for my Torch has an email address that is missing a digit.When I reached the maximum login attempts, I tried resetting the password but the BB ID for this device is missing a '1', thus when it sends the reset email, it's sending it to an email that isn't mine. I reset my password for the BB ID I thought was for this device, which includes the '1', but when I try using that BB ID on this phone, it says something like "use the BB ID associated with this device".
