I have a iphone 4 (not S) and have purchased movies on it. Just some Pixar shorts. I want to move these purchases to my computer so they are backed up, in other words, sync the other way. I have my phone/itunes set to manually manage music and movies because my music library on my computer would be too big for the phone and I don't want all my music on my phone anyway. Problem is, I can't just drag the movies from my phone to my itunes when the phone is plugged in, and when I choose "sync movies" I get a warning box that says:Are you sure you want to sync movies? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPhone "dorothy's iPhone" will be removed and replaced with movies from your iTunes library.
I want to avoid this so I don't have to take the time to reload particular songs/albums that I've already put on the phone. Isn't there a way to transfer purchases you've made on your phone onto your computer without losing everything that's already on your phone? Is there a way to sync only movies? One would think so if you just checked the box, but the words "all existing songs, movies, and TV shows" make me too nervous to check the box.

why my iPhone and iPad suddenly won't sync to my MacPro. They have both been syncing no problem until today. Using iTunes 10.6.1 and neither device appears in iTunes. However if you go into devices in preferences both products are listed. Tried to sync via WiFi and that failed also. However they do appear on the other Macs but I need them to sync to the MacPro. Went through the troubleshooting list on the Apple Support page, have tried different USB slots, cables etc but still can't connect.

My devices don't show up in itunes, not iphone, not ipad. I can't sync. I get a message when I connect my iphone to computer, 4s- to Windows 7. When I try to start the mobile devise service I get error message "The apple mobile device service on local computer started and then stopped. I had the same Notes on both my iPad and my iPhone. Some made on the iPad and some made on the iPhone. Now adter syncing in iTunes I seem to have lost all my iPad made notes on my iPhone. I still have both sets of Notes on my iPad.Also I added my MobileMe email address to the list of my email addresses I have in Mail on my iMac.
