Aug 22, 2014I have been able to use iTunes on my windows 7 pc for several years with no problem to sync calendar and contact with Outlook 2013; Suddenly I'm getting this error message. iTunes recognises an iphone but I can't sync it. I've tried uninstalling iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support, rebooted the PC and reinstalled iTunes.Â

May 7, 2012I was having some issues with my MacBook Pro and had to reset it as recommended by an apple tech. When I went to sync my iPhone afterward, a message came up saying that I needed to transfer the songs on my phone to my iTunes library or MacBook (can't remember exactly), or risk losing them - so I did. Ever since then however, iTunes will only load roughly 100 songs onto my iPhone, when it used to fill my phone right up. The songs in my library still play on my laptop no problem, so there is no issues with the songs themselves. I tried 'googling' a fix and found a suggestion restore my iPhone from backups, which I did and then my phone was finally syncing normally and filling up the entire phone. This sync was taking several hours however, and I went out for dinner and drinks during it and was surprised that it was still not quite finished syncing when I arrived home. Then a friend called and it was a bit of an emergency, so I took the call, but while I was on the phone the cord came loose from my MacBook and the entire sync session was ruined, and now it won't sync properly again even when I reset from a backup.

Apr 12, 2012why my iPhone and iPad suddenly won't sync to my MacPro. They have both been syncing no problem until today. Using iTunes 10.6.1 and neither device appears in iTunes. However if you go into devices in preferences both products are listed. Tried to sync via WiFi and that failed also. However they do appear on the other Macs but I need them to sync to the MacPro. Went through the troubleshooting list on the Apple Support page, have tried different USB slots, cables etc but still can't connect.

When I try to start the mobile devise service I get error message "The apple mobile device service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs,". I do have icloud so is that the issue? I used to be able to sync my ipad, not anymore. May 10, 2012i already have an iphone with videos and music in it but recently i had to reformat my pc (all my music gone) so i made sure i didnt do any sync or it will wipe out the songs in my iphone as well. then i bought the new ipad and wanted to just sync some videos that i got from Internet to it. no problem there.
now i wanted to sync the same videos to my iphone and i made sure that i uncheck sync music. i just want to sync the video/movies. it went ahead and wipe out all my music as well. then it didnt sync all the videos, some were missing. now i do understand that some video formats cant be sync over but when i check my ipad, they were there.
1. why did it wipe out my music even though i did not check the box to sync music?
2. why wont some of the videos get sync over to my iphone when it can do so to the ipad with no problems?
p.s. both my ipad and iphone are using the same firmware version which is 5.1

IPad And IPhone 5 Disconnecting During Sync
Sep 12, 2014If I sync my iPad and iPhone to my Mac, they go through each of the steps, but afterwards, I get an error saying that the device could not sync because it disconnected. Every time. Under "Latest Backup", even though I have backed up, it says "Your (iPad and iPhone) has never been backed up to this computer."Â
I have found a post earlier in the year relating to this, after which I went to my Backups folder and renamed that. Syncing my devices after that worked once. Then it went back to "disconnecting".Â
I'm not sure if this is just an error, because all the data that I want to sync is being transferred, it's just a bit worrying that neither of my devices have ever been synced to my computer.Â
