Everytime I connect my Itouch 4 into the computer, my apps stop working. Neither of em' load. I have to Re-download them in order to work. This has never happened to me before, it just recently started occurring.

I recently purchased a new windows laptop, i have a 3GS and itouch 4 generation. I installed itunes onto my new HP laptop and i connected my itouch first to transfer my purhcases. But i thought after authorizing the itunes would make it to where i didnt have to erase it when i hook it up to the new computer. Friends and family memebers of mine have itunes and apple devices too and they mentioned that they didn't have to erase either their ipod, iphone, or ipad when they hook up to a different computer. MIne however, says " this ipod/iphone can only be synced with one computer at a time" and it gives me the options to : cancel, erase and sync, and transfer purchases. Now i already transferred my music and most of my apps onto my new laptop. BUT, im worried about my iphone losing all of its contacts. If anyone can help me mess with the sync settings to where i can back up my ipod and iphone data onto my new laptop that would be great!

I want my apps on my iPhone and Itouch separated from when i sync them on my iTunes, so apps won't download on the other device.Any way that i can stop this? I synced all of my music/apps etc onto my itunes library. when i plugged my iphone in, the apps immediately started to download (theres about 40 or so)So then i just got rid of apps that were on the library (i have 5 on my iphone atm)

After the phone my phone restarted its self from the updates its requiring a PASSWORD not the finger print but I didn't have a password on my phone only the touch password. Im using nokia 5530 and usually it goes slow and some of its apps stop working like music player hangs but remain playing. it slows down while sending or receiving messages even when messages are in outbox. Its RAM remains 80mb full even when no application running only 40-45mb is available. Sometimes its headphones' player buttons stop working and start working after restart.

When I do a battery pull, when the phone first comes on, it says EDGE at the top and apps such as twitter, sirius sat radio, and bb app world all work fine for about an hour. Eventually, the EDGE changes to edge (as I believe it should, since I have no data plan) and these apps stop working- well they work, but won't connect. The browser still works fine. Data services set to on, roaming off, connection=wifi preferred. Is this to be expected since I don't have data? I don't remember having this problem before I upgraded to v5...
View 1 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I dropped my phone (the day before my case came in the mail, of course) and the screen went fuzzy, much like an old box tv for several minutes, then rebooted several times before catching up to itself. I'm not sure what on earth happened because of this drop, but since then I have had a huge amount of issues.
First- I cannot complete certain updates on my phone, including some system updates such as for "extras+info" and "Lumia Camera". I get the error code 80070539 on these failed updates, but I do not believe that is the real reason these apps will not update. One method I used to fix this was to make sure I accepted updated terms and conditions for Microsoft, which completed some updates, but I still have several left waiting.
Second- Several apps and processes just do not work at all. Example: settings>applications>photos+camera the screen begins to flip over to the photos+camera menu, then abruptly stops before returning to the applications menu. This exact scenario happens to several other processes throughout the phone, including the calendar app, adding new emails and accounts, etc.
Third- I cannot backup my phone. This is a major problem as I have an abundance of files that I desperately need on my phone, but whenever I attempt to backup my phone, it may make it up to 97% maximum before it says the backup failed. This is the primary reason I haven't attempted a hard reset yet, and I would prefer to avoid doing a hard reset unless we can manage to fix at least the backup issue.
Fourth- My computer will not recognize my phone. I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1, all my drivers are up-to-date, I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, etc. but the computer doesn't even recognize that I plug the phone in, even though my phone still charges at a normal rate. I have also tried different computers and different cables. Nothing has proven useful. There is not a place in my computer that I can find a trace of detection of my phone, not under devices/drives/anything.
I will try just about anything that doesn't involve losing all of my data.
My computer is accepting calls/texts from my phone. How do I turn off this feature?

During the beginning of the setup process in iTunes, after registering the new iPhone with APPLE, when I am asked to set it up as new iPhone, or to restore it from my previous iTouch backup, which do I choose? I've been running into problems where some (not all) apps disappear from my iPhone after syncing. Yesterday, I downloaded 3 apps...the Bloomberg app, the new Star Wars game, and a local tv station's app. After syncing, the Bloomberg and tv station app were still there, but the Star Wars game was gone, and I had to redownload, which caused me to lose my progress (only one level, so not a huge deal).
Also, I've downloaded the speedtest.net app repeatedly, and it's disappeared every time I sync.Anyone have an answer as to why some apps disappear and some apps don't...and how to make it stop happening?
How do I stop apps from reloading every time I unlock my iPhone? I have an iPhone 4 and at least 95% of the time I unlock it, some apps act as though they are reinstalling. It only lasts for about 3 seconds if that but it makes me feel like something is wrong with it.
