I had the Fingerprint passcode on my iPhone and did some updates online on the mac with my device connected. After the phone my phone restarted its self from the updates its requiring a PASSWORD not the finger print but I didn't have a password on my phone only the touch password. What can I do to resolve this issue?

So I am brand new to the Iphone/Ipod world. I have a friend who upgraded to the 3g phone a few months ago. He recently gave me his original iphone as a thank you for some things I helped him with. During the beginning of the setup process in iTunes, after registering the new iPhone with APPLE, when I am asked to set it up as new iPhone, or to restore it from my previous iTouch backup, which do I choose? It isn't clear to me, and I can't find the answer anywhere. If I choose to set it up as a new iPhone, will I lose all my apps and all my previous settings (and start over)? I installed itunes onto my new HP laptop and i connected my itouch first to transfer my purhcases. But i thought after authorizing the itunes would make it to where i didnt have to erase it when i hook it up to the new computer. Friends and family memebers of mine have itunes and apple devices too and they mentioned that they didn't have to erase either their ipod, iphone, or ipad when they hook up to a different computer. MIne however, says " this ipod/iphone can only be synced with one computer at a time" and it gives me the options to : cancel, erase and sync, and transfer purchases. Now i already transferred my music and most of my apps onto my new laptop. BUT, im worried about my iphone losing all of its contacts. If anyone can help me mess with the sync settings to where i can back up my ipod and iphone data onto my new laptop that would be great!

I changed my Apple ID to correspond with my new email address, and when I did the password for the account stopped working on my iPhone even though I only changed the account name, not the password. So I changed the password (they made me use an uppercase letter and eight characters, whereas before it was simply six lowercase letters - what's up with that?). My Apps icon on my iPhone 4 currently says I have 37 updates available. I am unable to update them individually OR all at once. After pressing the UPDATE button it asks for my account password like normal. I type it in correctly and it shifts back to the app icons, showing all of the apps with the update progess bar at the bottom of them. Then a popup appears saying: Sign in the the iTunes Store.
If you have an Apple ID sign in with it here, AOL members can sign in using their AOL username and password.
If I cancel nothing happens. If I hit BUY and type in my password again it just gives me the same error popup again.
However, if I try to download a new app from the app store using the same password it lets me. The new app downloads and installs just fine.
What is with this error message and what do I need to do to fix this? FYI I have no AOL account and have never had one in the past.

PROBLEM
I reseted password for Apple ID 1
after password reset, phone 1 and phone 2 can not send iMessage to each other's phone numbers (goes as text message). Can send iMessage it to each others email address and all other phone numbers/email addressesÂ
SOLUTIONS TRIED
- reactive iMessage with toggle switch
- network settings reset
- deleting our all old messages
- restart phone at various steps aboveÂ
OBSERVATIONS
I do see phone number under Settings | Messages | Send & Receive | YOU CAN BE REACHED.... on both phones selected,
however, it is grayed out unlike email addresses below

For some reason my password isn't being accepted, i've now reached the last attempt. I KNOW the password is correct. Its the same password I have for everything. I've even tried other things that I might have used but none of them are working. What do I do? I've tried to do it through desktop manager but its still saying its the wrong password. View 8 Replies View RelatedUp until yesterday the Nokia Messaging app worked superbly with my E72.But then it wasn't able to connect to the messaging servers and instead kept asking me for my password to the Nokia Messaging service. As I sadly forgot it I tried to retrieve it and therefore got a temporary password from the Nokia Messaging team. My problem is now that even with it I couldn't log in to my account and set up a new password.
