I upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 5.1.1 using itunes. After which I started using my phone as usual.
I was not able to upgrade or download apps from AppStore using wi-fi or 3G.
When I select any app for upgradation or downloading it starts, But It stops at 'waiting' stage , And never goes to 'loading' stage.

I'm using iPhone 4S. Today i experience one specific problem. I wanted to download one free app on my iPhone and the download "started", and never finished. App was on my iPhone, but it wasn't downloaded, just App (witt download stuatus on) and under it was text "Waiting...". I tried several apps and two accounts and on Wi-Fi and on cellular network but always the same, only once i got message "You've already purchased this but it hasn't been downloaded. If you're having trouble downloading it, select Check fo Available Downloads from iTunes on your computer, then sync with your device.". When i tried to download the same app on my PC it downloaded normally (but i want to be able to download and install apps directly on my iPhone).

I currently have 17 apps that need upgrading on my iPhone 5s. The little red number on the app store is showing me this. When i try to update the,, whether all of them at once or just individually, I get the window to type my apple Id password. After typing in my password, the rectangular update button on the right side just next to the app symbol changes into the usual circle, BUT then it stops and changes into the upgrade symbol again.
It seems impossible to upgrade my apps. I have the latest version of iOS, I tried to sign out, restart the phone, switch off restrictions.

Today i tryed to download some of my iTunes purchased songs and they all stuck on waiting. So, I went to Appstore to try updating my apps and games, same story there. Over the last few weeks I tried to download or upgrade apps but it always fails. I always get the message: "Download was unsuccessful please try again". When I go to the android market and look at the help front page there is a link called "Download Issues Troubleshooting page". The fix described in here does not work for my phone.
How do I make my phone work properly again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was trying to download an iPhone app recently and was not able to as my iPhone does not have the most recent software. It is currently at 4.1 on a 3GS. I connected it to my Macbook, which is quite old and running OS X Tiger, and it said I cannot upgrade the iPhone software due to my version of iTunes. I cannot update iTunes due to it being on Tiger.
what my options are for upgrading? Do I need to install Leopard then Lion (and will this even be possible with my Macbook?) Or is it possible to update the iPhone elsewhere? e.g. on my PC at work with a more recent version of iTunes. Or will this mean I can no longer use it with the iTunes I have on my Macbook?
