May 31, 2012i cannot unbrick my 3GS after upgrading to iOS5.1.1 it is not giving me an option to factory reset. When i hook up with iTunes to unbrick it after 3-4 mion it says there is no SIM card please insert SIM and SIM card is inside phone which i was using before upgrading iOS.

IPhone :: After Upgrading Ios5 On 4 Contacts Disappeared
May 31, 2012Yesturday I upgraded my iphone 4 to ios5. When it was done and my phone turned on none of my apps were able to start, the only apps that worked was 'safari' 'messages' and the other apps that came with the phone. After an hour or so my apps started working by them selves but thats when i discoverd that all my contacts were gone. I've been checking out my safty backup that is on my computer (pc) but if i restore my phone the ios5 upgrade will be lost and I would have to re do it with the risk of even worse result. how do i restore my contacts? I disconnected icloud from my phone and want to sync it with my computer but outlook is not an available option to sync with. The default setting is to sync with windows contacts. But when I did that it just created an empty contact with my name and picture of a flower. I also have the option to sync with google contacts and yahoo adress book but if I change there is an error message that says that it will affect all units connected to windows contacts so I don't know if I should change or not. I also tried to create a random contact but no contacts came back, the only thing that happend was that my pictures for the dissapered contacts automaticly ended up as picture for the new contact.

Jun 8, 2012I am a T-mobile customer and I have a iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1 (9B176), firmware 04.12.01.
The iPhone was originally locked to ATT but in April 2012 I requested the official ATT unlock. The phone is now unlocked and works well with T-mobile.
If I upgrade from iOS5.1 to iOS5.1.1 will I loose the unlock? Does anyone has firsthand experience?

Jun 22, 2010Running OS 3.0 jailbroke and unlocked on a 8 gig 3G. Using Cincy Bell. Phone doesnt connect with Edge much anymore, and some times when E is present, still no cell data network connection. Signal strength is g2g.Also, phone will launch Cydia, but shortly after boots out of the program. I respring, restart, turn off, power and home key combo no luck.

Mar 12, 2012When restarted my computer and reconnects my iPhone, it now prompts saying that iPhone in recovery mode and I must restore before it can be used with iTunes. I am very sure there's 2 backup copies in my (default designated) computer folder, with one being dated 12Mar (the day of updating). I browsed the computer folder while waiting for the downloads in iTunes.
However the backup folder is now empty!! and I can't restore to any previous backup, and my phone cannot be turn on. The iTunes restore button asked if I wanted to restore to original factory settings. How could this happen?!! My Recycle bin has this item "iPhone3,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore.ipsw".
How can I retreive my previous phone backup, or just return to iOS5.0.1 with its data prior to the 5.1?

Jan 31, 2010As the title suggests, QL seems to be one of the best app's and it appears that most members use it.I don't think I would use its capabilities re the Hot keys but just from a system point of view it would maybe help keep my 9700 working correctly?
I have downloaded a few themes and berryweather and I don't know if its my imagination but when going into to view photographs in the media section I think it takes longer than it should - I will need to check this against my brothers 9700 which hasn't been altered at all.I also have capture it, does this run in the back ground and maybe is the cause, meaning QL would be worth it as it replaces the need for capture it?

I tried shutting it off by pushing the top button and home button at the same time but it didn't work. I tried downloading a new app and then going back to the original app I wanted to use and it still didn't work, I tried shutting it off, then plugging it in, but my phone turns on automatically when i plug it in so that didn't work either. I was not able to upgrade or download apps from AppStore using wi-fi or 3G.
When I select any app for upgradation or downloading it starts, But It stops at 'waiting' stage , And never goes to 'loading' stage.
