Yesterday my iPhone suddenly wouldn't let me download apps using my wireless internet connection at home. They get stuck on Waiting and then "Cannot connect to app store" comes up. I tried loads of things (switching between 2 wireless connections sometimes works!) and if I download using 3G it's fine,

I'm using iPhone 4S. Today i experience one specific problem. I wanted to download one free app on my iPhone and the download "started", and never finished. App was on my iPhone, but it wasn't downloaded, just App (witt download stuatus on) and under it was text "Waiting...". I tried several apps and two accounts and on Wi-Fi and on cellular network but always the same, only once i got message "You've already purchased this but it hasn't been downloaded. If you're having trouble downloading it, select Check fo Available Downloads from iTunes on your computer, then sync with your device.". When i tried to download the same app on my PC it downloaded normally (but i want to be able to download and install apps directly on my iPhone).

I upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 5.1.1 using itunes. After which I started using my phone as usual.
I was not able to upgrade or download apps from AppStore using wi-fi or 3G.
When I select any app for upgradation or downloading it starts, But It stops at 'waiting' stage , And never goes to 'loading' stage.

However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?

Since I updated to iOS4 my Appstore icon on my iPhone has vanished. Furthermore, mysteriously, I'm not allowed to install programs on my iPhone through my mbp (itunes) When I try to update the apps to my iphone that i downloaded on the computer it says unknown error. Today I downloaded the most recent iOS update and (4.1 i guess) and it still doesn't work. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what could i do about it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI currently have 17 apps that need upgrading on my iPhone 5s. The little red number on the app store is showing me this. When i try to update the,, whether all of them at once or just individually, I get the window to type my apple Id password. After typing in my password, the rectangular update button on the right side just next to the app symbol changes into the usual circle, BUT then it stops and changes into the upgrade symbol again.
It seems impossible to upgrade my apps. I have the latest version of iOS, I tried to sign out, restart the phone, switch off restrictions.
